Floater's diary

I have had mango and pineapple as snacks, will soon need to eat something more substantial (perhaps more congee?). Had a long phone call with a friend and let Heikki out to play and watched "Barbarian", a horror movie that I liked. I´m glad I had watched a review of it though because otherwise it might have been a bit too much. I´m tempted to watch "The Night House" as well, but I´m a it nervous to go in blind, as it´s said to be the scariest contemporary horror movie... Then again, it´s the last day of Spooky Season so I kind of want to watch it nevertheless lol

Isn't tomorrow the last day? I really don't do scary stuff so I have no advice to give you :D
Yeah I was a dum dum 😂

I ate something like 500g of potatoes with marg. Guess I needed the carbs. My neck is super sore and my back muscles are cramping :/ not fun :/

That happened to me once in our local wholefood store when I was paying cash but I needed a 5c coin & they had a few spare. The next time I went I took a small bag of them in to use for that purpose, but not long after it happened again K, the owner, didn't let me off. I think he must have just banked them. About a month ago I took a bag of them in again & asked N, his wife who works there to leave them over the back just to give them out. I really like her. She's sweet & giggles a lot. She thought it very funny when I told he what I thought had happened.
I steer well clear of scary books, scary movies, scary anything......
Hope you sleep well xo

I had the rest of the ribs, noodles, and a bag of popcorn before bed yesterday, as well as some more fruit.

Breakfast today was congee with spinach, chickpeas, and a fried egg on top, very nice. I think I´m going to make a big batch of polenta and have it similarly, with black beans and different toppings, later.

Watched "The Night House" in daylight and liked it a lot! Now I'll vacuum and clean Heikki's cage, then go for a walk.

Had a snack of cherries + mango before my walk. I ADORE the dark part of the year. Ended up walking for almost 2hrs. It's so relaxing to just be in the dark, watching the bare trees claw at the sky as the cloud-hounds chase the stars listening to the wind's whistle. Winters are dark, but Southern Finnish winters must be the darkest. Or dampest at least. Mud everywhere.

Now: playtime with Heikki, then dinner, idk what I'll have yet :)

:) Glad to hear someone is enjoying the grimness. I just get anxious and immobile 😖 But hey: I'm sure there's something to be learned from it.

It’s marvellous that you have that feeling when the days get shorter. Marvellous & amazing. I get gloomy when the weather gets gloomy. Good for you 😊

I had polenta with cheese and dry ramen noodles before bed last night. I´m making breakfast: two frozen fried fish fillets with a side of polenta and peas :)

EDIT I really gotta wash my oven, something´s spilled in the bottom and it stiiiiinksss

Had mango and cherries as a snack, timed my bills and rent, tomorrow I'll go visit a friend, and Thursday is benefits day AKA I get to order takeaway 🍀

Yes please! Maybe it could involve a picky eater who grows food confidence when the little red microwave teaches them how to make some of their own food? I'm going to guess mug cakes will be involved...

I think we'd make a children's literature power house with our imaginations combined 💐
