Testing - Pre-op style

Today, so far, has been a barrage of tests in prep for Monday.

Resting heart rate (flat in bed- no movement) - 52bpm Didn't think this was too bad!

BP - 102/70. again... not to shabby

Weight - 156. Considering where I was to where I am now; I am pleased. Of course BMI is 28.53 (still overweight), but it's "public domain" and can go scratch.. LOL

EKG showed normal heart rhythm - no abnormalities - sweet!!

Chest X-ray showed clear lungs, strong bones, and a spine with no curves. The girls' body jewelry showed up too.. a little "lower" than i would like though..(hahaha) Oh well..

So.. currently, I am contemplating getting a new tat... one that looks like big X's (like shoe laces) to cover the scar I'm gonna have... what cha think about that!? LOL :)

I'm also going this weekend to schedule a jump... and I gotta tell ya... I am really looking forward to that! :)

The rest of my day... just gonna go live a lil bit more and hit the gym with a vengeance tonight because you know... you gotta sweat!!!

:)

I am pleased with the progress that's been made. Makes sweat equity soooooo much more worth it.

And that jump rope.... is soon going to be cowering whenever I come near it... LMAO.. :D

cool log! i love the little comics!!!

cool leg workout though; its interesting to see a woman finally make a fitness journal.

good work thus far

Thanks!

As far as the journal goes...

It's a good way to track everything I've done; from where I started to now.
Plus I throw in the comics/humor to keep myself sane.. LOL

Consisted entirely of squats today.. haha

Call me a wuss, but hey.. 500 squats is a LOT

Looking back over this past week I see I really, REALLY slacked off my normal workout routine... (except for squats..HA)

Today I went on a bike ride.. a nice one. The distance was maybe 15 miles (give or take), but the lesson today was not about distance.

The lesson was about enduring the distance..
how to ride smart.. (gear up/gear down along with the when and why)
how to get over obstacles...
and how to NOT land on handlebars (the ribcage is not needed.. LOL)

The last two days have been insanely fun and the company I chose to share the fun with was completely outstanding!!... No one better :)

Tomorrow is tomorrow and yesterday is over.
Today is what counts... go live it up !! :)

7/20 Surgery

"Always expect the unexpected..~ James Patterson

This could have been my mantra today.

My surgery went off around 11:30 - about an hour later than what it was supposed to, but oh well..

What the doc found, as he described it, was "UGLY"... and as soon as he saw what I had sent it over for an immediate biopsy to rule out cancer. Here's why.

I had a fatty tumor about the size of a small grapefruit - and not just the round part - there was depth and dimension to it.

The tumor had grown through the oblique muscle wall and had become vascular. The surgeon said some of the blood vessels were as large as his pinky fingers. This resulted in a 2 hour long ordeal....

The tumor was removed, but with some muscle tissue too. "Shaved" was the term they used... TOTALLY unexpected!!

They put a surgical mesh in to allow the remaining muscle to heal by growing over and through it, sewed me up (with a drain port to boot) and sent me home.

Anyway.. there is my update.

I am tired.
I am hungry
I have a drug c*cktail hangover
I am super sore

I will write more tomorrow when I'm not tying to type thru my eyelids...HA

oh, I'm sorry this was such an ordeal for you! but I'm glad you got it out and you are home recuperating!

Don't let them put fear into your thoughts, keep positive! You'd be amazed how much that can do for you and your body!

Get your rest and My thoughts are with you woman!

take care....

Oh my,

My thoughts are with you as well stay strong!
