Finding Myself in Me

i would love to be overworked... but right now.. my company is going through some MAJOR headcount losses.. guesstimating 10-12k people - company wide.

So for the next 2 weeks my guts are gonna be in a knot... wondering every stinkin day if i'm going to be employed once the smoke clears or not.

Very unnerving.. very unsettling.. very vulnerable & transparent... and i'm very over it.

Good luck.

I know the feeling. I work contract to contract. Mine is up in March, have to wait and see.

2.65 miles in 30 min more or less..

Took a shower and hit the hay.

That is all

Good stuff neonlady. I haven't been around the forums much, but you could soon be able to do a 3 mile run (apologies if you can already do so).

It was another run night after school.

Went a little further this time.. 3.16 miles in a little over 45 min. (i think it's a little ovre 14 min miles)

that is all

Awesome! You have improved so quickly! I have missed your posting. :) I hope you have a great day and feel great for the place and time you are in this very moment! You have come so far and still will astound yourself by what you are capable of in the future.

PS Update

Back on 10/21, I went to see a plastic surgeon (PS) about the excess skin hanging around (haha).

He did the usual poke and prod and lift and separate to get an idea of what i need done and where he'd have to cut to make it happen.

I also told him about my last surgery and the fact I had an alien removed and how that surgeon said "you need to have this removed".... So the PS asked for a letter of recommendation with the "medically necessary" verbiage for insurance.

His office received that last Friday and they submitted it to my insurance company yesterday so now I'm on the wait to see what ins says.

Hopefully the letters will be convincing enough to cover either all of it, or at least the majority. That would be cool. :)

That's it on the medical front from me.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled programming... hehehe ;)

Well... it's been a while.. but i haven't been totally slacking.. lol

tonight, got home around 8p and went on a run. Did 2.5 miles in 30 min.

not bad for an old lady.. hehe

Good to see you back! I HAVE been slacking diet and exercise wise. Oh well. As we must always remember this is a marathon and not a sprint! Here is to a new year filled with new goals, obstacles overcome and challenges met. :)

I think everyone's made rather merry over the holidays, but as we all know it's time to get back to daily life again.

Holy crap...

It's been a long time since I posted here..lol

However, that does not mean I haven't done anything.. more like haven't done a lot..LOL

Many things have happened.

I completed college - I now own a degree (BS in Business Mgmt)
I was "let go" from my employer of 15 years (they called it downsizing)
I've started a new career
I moved
And I've maintained the weight loss plus lost a lil more. (size 4/6 jeans now).. yay!!

Yesterday I ran my second 5K.... The Gasparilla Distance Classic.

My official 'chip' time was 42.37.

This is 3 min faster than my first race

My pace was 13:39/mile... a lil slower than my last practice run, but hey... it's an improvement :)

There is a brief update on the life and times of me.

See ya round

Sorry to hear about being let go - but yay for all the other stuff. Getting a degree and keeping weight off is great, especially considering the circumstances.

just a ride

booked another 17 miles on the new bike :)
