Today - 2 mile recovery run / walk - ouch ouch ouch!!! hehehe gotta love it!
ING MIAMI MARATHON- 4:12
gotta love it-- still ran sub 10's-- hahahaa
no really- taking a month off, and gaining 8 lbs is not a good marathon training plan.

but I made it.
ho you ask--- funny thing-- around mile 8 I see a runner with "first timer" on their shirt walking! OMG!! you can't be walking come on honey- it is not how fast you run, but how lil you walk that matters. you can do this... (of course, this is all just a front for "fatty" to take a break and talk to the pretty girl) anyhow--
then I took off
at mile 22 I am toasted-- it is hot, I am tired, and the only thing I have done well is nutrition. My legs are on fire, my BRAIN (THE BIG MUSCLE) is finished.... and guess what!
God brings along that lil tramp and she says "NO WAY Mr. Ironman can;t be walking... it's not how fast you run but how lil you walk" if there really was a god, He would have answered my prayer and she would have dropped dead on the spot!!!
BUT-- maybe an angel.. so off we go.. and my legs flush out, and we are running again... at 25 she is crying, and 25.2 last drink stop I wanna stop and she says no, and back and forth we went... SAVED THE DAY AND THE RACE!!!
Jill will forever be a friend, and she finished her first marathon.
