Eric's Diary

Thanks Crimson :) Good luck on your weight loss goals.

I just did some excersising and figured I'm post 'em.
100 dumbbell curls (3 pounds)
25 squats (15 with weights in front, 10 without)
15 (modified) push ups
15 calf raises
100 bicycle kicks

The calf raises and bike kicks are very hard. At first the bike kicks are really easy, but after like 25 your legs really start feeling the burn :p

awesome exercises! i might try that bicycle kick thingy, but we'll see... :p
Stay motivated!! *throws confetti and slinks off once again*

The bike kicks are fun but definitely get challenging.

Todays recap:
Breakfast - Nothing
Snack - 2 Rits Crackers
Lunch - PB and J sandwich, no crust, a banana, a kiwi, a soup cracker
Cardio - 1/4 mile jog/walk, minimal football effort
Snack - Pickle
Excersise - 100 Dumbbell curls (3 pounds), 25 squats (15 with weights in front, 10 without), 15 (modified) push ups, 15 calf raises, 100 bicycle kicks

Hey there! You're doing great tracking all of your meals and exercise. Are you keeping track of your calories at all? Most of your food looks pretty healthy. You'll lose weight quicker by eating a breakfast because it gets your metabolism going, instead of it slowing down from lack of food.

I know it's hard to always eat breakfast, I skip now and then too. I'm usually not hungry when I wake up. Anyhow, keep up the great work. You are doing amazing with the workouts!

Looking good but watch them pickles they have a lot of sodium and that will make you hold on to that water weight , And I use to use the corn chips as dip with my Cottage cheese but have as of yet not found a healthy replacement for them. And My weight wise Dr told me that if you dont have time for a decent breakfast a cup of dry cereal on the road is just as good
Got to love them fruit loops LOL

Well, there's plenty of cereal around here so I'll eat breakfast tomorrow. Weekends my mom makes breakfast so that's cool and next week I'll work on eating breakfast too :) Thanks guys

Hey guys. Well, I'm having a very small cup of cereal and milk. We only have raisin bran so I'm going to get my mom to pick up some fruit loops at the store. Fruit Loops are good dry but raisin brand needs milk. :p

Btw, MissJelly, I don't keep track of calories for a few reasons. When I do, it start's getting very depressing when I see me hitting 1800 calories on certain days and it makes me want to stop my dieting because I feel like it's useless. Also, counting calories can sometimes be very difficult and I get frustrated and it takes the fun out of losing weight. So, I don't like counting calories, I just try to eat right and small portions. :)

Today was a good day to start. I had a small amount of raisin bran and milk for breakfast as I mentioned earlier. For lunch I had a tunafish with cheese sandwich, a banana, and an apple. For a snack I had a banana. That's all so far today, though I must say I feel pretty crappy right now.

You see, I do this thing where people are set up in "matches" and they to write a story. Whoever writes the best story wins. Things like fueds can start, or things like someone can screw someone else over in their match. Sometimes it's a four way match, tag matches, etc. Well, I'm in a fourway match I know I lost. One of the writers wrote a brilliant piece. So I'm pretty depressed.

But please don't say something like: Aww, hey, you never know, you could win. Because I know what I wrote and I know he wrote. I'm not going to win and I'm so stressed about that. I try so hard to write a great piece only for it to be overshadowed by someone else. But I tried to ignore that stress and refused to eat for comfort :D Pretty proud of myself there. I'll post a more official update after dinner

Overall update:
Breakfast - Small bowl of raisin bran with milk
Lunch - Tunafish with cheese sandwich, banana, and an apple
Cardio - Full mile. Btw, my time was 11:32, 5 seconds slower than my fastest time in 3 years. pretty proud of myself :)
Snack - Banana
Dinner - Around 6 oz of steak, cottage cheese, spinach (ew), and a banana

I've had only 4 glasses of water today but I think I did okay overall.

What do you all write about ? Got to love them banana's I like Apples too, dipped in a tablespoon of either low fat or fat free cool whip helps to keep the boredom out of eat certain foods. I find that its funny I have of as yet to eat tunafish since I have been on my weight lose journey and I love tuna fish. and thats right (eww) on the spinach

*shocked*

no way! Spinach kicks some serious (cencored)! :D

Anyway a mile huh? thats awesome!!! *throws confetti*

Awesome job !

So sometimes you lose and it sucks, I know. But you won a different battle today and you should be proud of that because it would have been really easy to allow yourself to slip up on the diet since you'd had such a bad day! You didn't eat for comfort or because of stress... that is AWESOME!
Proud of you over here! ;)

Thanks Paula and Crimson :D

Well this morning I got up and weighed myself. 235 pounds!!!! That's a WTF-Weigh-In if I ever saw one. A 12 pound gain in one week? I don't think so. So, I've come to the conclusion that the current scale I'm using is weigh to messed up to use anymore. But, I will go to the gym later and get a different reading. This does mean though that my original weight of 223 could be wrong as well.

On a lighter note, I had Fruit Loops with milk and a banana for breakfast.

Well, I weighed myself again with the scale in a different place and it said 218. Much better :) You have to remember the scale is very old so you have to make sure it's sitting right or it will be all messed up. I'm going with 218!

Lunch Update: 5 pieces of sushie California Roll and about a half pound of small/medium white shrimp with lemon herb. 4 glasses of water thus far today. We'll be heading to the gym in a few hours, my goal, a mile in under 11 minutes. :) It'll be hard but we'll see.

Thanks Paula :)

:( Well, I had a bad experience today at the gym. My mom and I were walking out of the gym when I saw somebody that rides my bus. He laughed a little and walked off. Kind of embarrassing. I'll have to see how this little situation plays out on the bus on Tuesday.

On a greener ballfield, I did 1.06 miles today in 20 minutes. I used the treadmill for the first time in a while, I don't like it. There's not enough freedom to the treadmill and I don't feel safe running on it. I suggested to my mom we find a more secluded place to run, I have no idea where that would be though

I got some good excersising in weight wise. A lot of reps on legs (over 400 I'm sure) and some on arms (over 100 at least). I don't know which parts of my body I used exactly but I used a few different machines.

We may do a work out tapes and some more excersising later tongiht but we'll see. I'm skipping another snack today for a few reasons. I had a big lunch and since I like to wait an hour after working out before I eat, by time that hour is over it'll be time for dinner. So I'm getting three good meals from today. :)

He was laughing at the fact that I was coming out of the gym.. we made eye contact. I know *sniffle* Like I said, no harm done yet. Did I mention we don't get along too well?

Whatever! I hate those kind of people!
