Tonight:
Easy version of my FBW without any exercises that will give pressure on my lower back and 45 mins of cardio. I usually only do 20-30 mins, but I thought I'd make up before the Yeti pays me a visit and disciplines me.

Tomorrow morning:
45mins cardio

Thursday night:
Same as tonight.

Friday is off.

Saturday I will go for a bike ride at my fathers place this time instead of doing 13KM I will do 2 laps which will be 26KM total. This should theoretically take me an hour and a half. I will aim for 1:15.

Sunday is off.
 
The Yeti will be hiding in the woods making sure you are out there riding your bike.

Tuesday night was a combination run and pull up circuit

Last night I was unable to work out because I was fighting the tax man and won!!!!! They wanted to raise my taxes by 530 bucks a year and after a 2.5 hour battle we managed to defeat their stupid proposal.

But I was on my feet all day yesterday measuring a high school.:animal2

Guy I work with is letting me borrow a pop up blind for deer hunting this year. I came in this morning and he had it set up at my desk. I was thinking about sitting in it while I worked. LOL

I was going to take Friday off, but, I seem to be on a streak even though my back feels like **** - therefore I will be going Friday even though I was going to take off.

It actually seems like going to the gym is making it recover faster. I did 2-3 DLs with an empty Olympic bar last night and everything seemed fine, I ought to start DLing next week, hopefully.

After this weekend I will start posting my workouts and intake with more detail. I've always gotten more results when doing that.

Don't know what I will be doing tonight. I need to drive 2 hours to pickup some stuff I bought. I should be back by 8:30PM, hopefully. Gym closes at 9:30 and I think I will do a few light-weight back exercises and see how it goes.
 
working out will help your back for sure. You just have to be careful.

Did you try any of those stretches I outlined?
 
I haven't. I have not been doing anything that directly affects my back up until now. I am pretty sure that I will be able to do some light back exercises tonight. After my 10 minute warm-up I will do my lower back routine I used to do and will include the ones you have suggested...I should always do that routine from now on. My back has been weird lately and I think this routine will make it feel like a million bucks.

Time to work... :)

It should help you out. Mine got all jacked up in a car accident when I was 16. I went flying through the air. LOL
probably lucky to be alive.

With my core getting stronger I've noticed zero pain in my lower back. It used to be debilitating. I do those stretches after every weight routine along with a few others.
 
Well, my evening just opened up. And the chiro just called me to tell me they just got a cancellation. I just got back from there. Feeling pretty good.

He worked on my back sprain and also an upper back problem I had for a while now...it all feels fine now. I asked him if it was a good idea to go each month to get my back check out since I am training seriously now, he said, just come back in about a month, then come back every season. So now I know I didn't get some money hungry quack. :D

Now, I will take a shower because I reek of that goop he put on me. Strong odors not allowed at my gym :D lol

Back from the gym...

10min. warm-up on bike.

BP 120# x10 x7 x6
Side Lateral Raise 15# x8 x6 x6

DL 135# x10 235# x5 x5 <- felt good
Leg Curl 50# x8 x6 x6

...and when I was about to break a sweat...the gym started closing.

Tomorrow - I finish the FBW routine...now, I go and try your stretches.
 
I put together my routine now that I'm back in the basement. It is as follows

Flat BP
Deadlift
BOR
lat pull
cable pull down
shrugs
bicep curl and I'll alternate this with skullcrushers.

I'm still a bit torn between doing front squats and deadlifts. I don't want to do both in the same workout. I'm leaning toward DL's. Any suggestions?

I do crunches and push ups as part of my warm up for every routine so thats a given.
I plan on starting this tonight.
 
You've been on DLs for a bit now...and I hear front squats are good for the core...sounds like an opportunity to implement a change.

If I we're you and my ankle would allow it, I'd do the squats.

But that's just me :D
 
I won't be posting this weekend, but here is what I will be doing.

Tonight I finish the second half of my usual FBW.

I have a party Saturday so I will push my 26KM bike ride to Sunday.

Good news, I have spoken to my local gym owner and he told me he knew this super fast and reputable sports clinic that would fix my ankle in a jiffy, on top of this, I found another clinic that my Dad's GF went to to get her back fixed and apparently they are pretty darn good too. So, I have 2 clinics to get in touch with.

On an off note...I am getting a Palm T/X...can't wait to use the thing...I needed one of those pretty bad.

Oh, it's Friday...yay.
 
Well, the week-end is over.

Everything has been completed as mentioned.

That 26KM bike ride was great, my legs are still dead from it.

Time 1:25, average speed 18.9KM/h with inclines and much wind resistance, and a flat tire at the end.

I've actually been slacking a bit with all the **** I have going on lately.
My basement is totally done now. I have my surround sound put together and I'm ready to rock again. I didn't lift like I had planned but I did still run sunday morning.

Well I haven't had my review yet but my raise and bonus are indicated on my paycheck I got today. I'm sure I'm not supposed to know but

Raise looks to be about 5% and my bonus is 12 friggin grand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lobster and Dom Perignon for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
