Emily Rose: The Reboot

Hi hon, I was going to get back into my killer exercise routine, eat all the healthy food, etc.

Ended up having poached eggs, sausages and toast out this morning with loads of relish and butter. Filled me up for the day and I made a really yum and healthy dinner there of grilled chicken with baby potatoes and side salad of avocado, lettuce and celery with a sprinkling of lime juice and black pepper. Simple but really good.

Got calls about a few jobs today, not sure about any of them, so hopefully I get better calls tomorrow.

Going to tennis in a few hours and have running club tomorrow. Also going to try to sell a load of my books for cash. I haven't a bean.

Food looks good for the day - dinner sounds gorgeous! Hope tennis was fun! Where can you sell your books?! Me and Yank had about 300 at last count.. not sure he'd let me sell any of them!

Hey Sunflower - a secondhand bookshop in town put an ad in the paper last weekend so I brought them in yesterday morning. I got the princely sum of 18 euro for them. :)

Exercise on track the last few days - running yesterday and a brilliant yoga class today.

Have a party tonight, feeling pretty good about it. Food has been good overall - will try not to go too booze-heavy tonight as I have a job interview to prep for on Tuesday morning! Not too sure about it but the money is great, so going to give it a shot anyway.

The prospect of starting in a new place isn't really daunting for me anymore, as with the yoga centre and temp work, I am well used to not knowing people and taking a little bit of time to get into the swing of things. So it's been good training.

Anyway, have to go pretty myself up now, back tomorrow.

Hope you had a lovely time at the party Emily. Good luck with the job interview Tuesday. Good for you giving things you are unsure about a go!

Thanks Cate!!

The party was so much fun and I met a really cute guy at it! Don't really know what he thinks of me, but I think we had a 'moment', so I'm going to get his number from a friend and ask him out. It's time to be brave and I have nothing to lose as I'm not likely to run into him again if he's not interested. But I really hope he is!

Really tired all day, have such a busy day tomorrow but going to get to bed now and recuperate.

Life is exciting again! Yay!!!

A friend sent my number on to the guy and he said he'd ask me out for a drink soon!!!!! Thrilled. He's such a cutie and seemed really sincere.

Have my interview tomorrow. I drove out to the place tonight so I won't be stressing in the morning trying to find the place.

Could I finally be making progress with my goals???!:hurray:

Interview went ok but I don't think I want the job. It sounds high stress and I would rather earn less money in an easier job. Hoping the other job I am up for gets back to me first.

He texted! Said we should go for a drink soon. I hope soon means Friday!!! :)

Will give proper updates on food/exercise tomorrow, haven't been too bad but I haven't had time for exercise between the interview, a badly needed nap, calls from recruiters and now working at the yoga centre. Things have picked up speed considerably.

Going to do an 8k in the morning and yoga in the evening. Amazing how a potential date can be a motivator! ;) (He's really nice people!)

I'm going to leave it up to him now Hana cos I pushed it with the last one and it got me nowhere.

Day was ok, I didn't eat great but I didn't eat a lot either if you know what I mean. Have a healthy lunch to bring with me to work tomorrow - chicken salad and pasta.

Missed the exercise class at the gym - I really have to do something tomorrow evening. I hate when I go a long time without moving around.

So tired today. Got a new job! Reception work, bad pay but I think it could be fun. Starting tomorrow, then weekend!

Food today was ok, getting up at 7am and going for a run!

Congratulations Emily. If your new job could be fun then it will be much better than a stressful job with more pay. Thinks are looking up hon xo

Had a really fun day at work - we got pizza and ice cream, it was like a party. Luckily for my waistline, this was just a one-off. But it was a nice start.

Love it in there, the people are so nice and the work isn't too challenging. My favourite part is that I can walk to work.

The other job got back to me, offered me even more money (it works out as 78 grand a year!) and I don't even have to do an interview for it, plus they would wait the 3 weeks I've agreed to do in the place I'm in now. I said yes earlier but I think I have changed my mind. Do I want money to be my only motivator? What kind of life do I want to build for myself?

It's taking a massive gamble if I don't take it but I had plenty of money in a job before and it didn't really do much for me. Hmm. Confused.

No word from the man either. But super cute guy in my new place so not to worry! :)

Hey hon. Yeah, nice weekend, went for a group brunch on Sunday and a few quiet ones on Saturday night.

Exhausted all weekend trying to figure out what to do about the job. I turned it down but they offered me even more money today, feel like I've thrown a suitcase of cash into the river. Hmm. I don't think the door is entirely closed on it yet but going to just focus on what I'm doing now and worry about it when this job is over.

Went for a 5k run this morning - felt great.

Food was more or less good -

- porridge, raspberries, blueberries, milk
- slice toast and butter
- chicken and rice with salad
- banana, apple, 5 Brazil nuts
- turkey and egg roll
- lots of tea and coffee
- 2 cigs so far

Tidied my room over the weekend as well, always sleep better when it's clean. I feel wrecked now but life is good. :)

Nice to hear you so positive again, lovely :) you seem in a much better place emotionally and look what happens to your food then! All that fruit and yummy goodness.

It is nice to see you being more positive, even though life is throwing you some curve balls Emily. Well done on the healthy day hon!
