Good choice on making the decision to take care of body and brain by doing both school work and Cory work! It is all about our choices! Good choice on going for beef...no need to feel guilty...a good combo of good carbs, animal protein and good fats is a perfect meal!
Keep up the good work!

Just had to pop in real quick. Someone at work told me I look like I've lost weight. I didn't think that would happen so fast. :D

Update time. I didn't get to exercise today, which sucked. I was really looking forward to it to try and stave off the DOMS for a couple more days. Unfortunately it just didn't work out today. I ate a HUGE platter of pulled pork BBQ for dinner tonight. I budgeted for it in my daily calories though, so I don't think I went over. If I did, it wasn't by much. Weigh-in day tomorrow! I think I've lost some this week.

Down a pound and a half today guys! I maybe would have wished it to be 2 or 3, but it's still in the right direction and I'm happy with it. :D

Just another quick update. Even though I knew it would happen, I'm still shocked at the physical changes I've gone through. Today I managed to do an hour of zumba AND go on a two mile walk with my mom. Two weeks ago it would have been an either/or kind of thing.

Thanks everyone!

Today has been pretty good so far. I made a big breakfast of eggs and roasted potatoes, but it was more of a brunch so I didn't feel bad about eating more calories. Dinner will be eggplant lasagna. It's great because it take the noodles out of lasagna, but still gives that lasagna feel. I will try to take a walk with my mom later today and see if we can get my dad to join.

Glad you're doing so well! I ate light for brunch too because I know my dinner will be pretty calorie heavy. We have company over too so I'm cheating and having some strawberry shortcake. I figure one day in indulging won't kill me. ;)

Wow Cory! You're doing great, and congratulations on the weightloss...and the fact that people are starting to notice ! It's always good to get that unsolicited positive feedback! Keep making good eating choices and making time for exercise and you will continue to get these good results! It won't happen over night (like we all wish it would), but it will happen, and you will start to notice how good you feel about yourself and have more self confidence!
One day at a time, sometimes, one minute at a time...just keep doing the next right thing and good choice, and ou'll be amazed at where you will be 6 months from now!

Hey, i never feel bad about eating more calorie dense food for breakie - i know I will use up those calories anyway. Your brunch sounds yum - almost like a Spanish tortilla (egg&potato)
Eggplant lasagna sounds yum! For a minute I thought you meant melanzane alla parmigiana (eggplant with tomato bake & parmesan) - love it!!
Happy Sunday!

Ate really well today. :D Had a piece of gingerbread for breakfast with a mug of tea (no sugar), a salad and an egg sandwich for lunch, and a fantastic dinner. We had baked potatoes, brussel sprouts, homemade honey wheat bread, and t-bone steaks. We lost all of our beef last summer in a week long power outage and so I basically haven't had a GOOD steak since July. But my grandpa finally butchered a cow and so now we are rolling in beef again. So good. I will fully admit to being very picky about my meat.

No exercise today. My feet were really sore and I decided to give them a break today. They are feeling much better though and I should be good to go tomorrow.

More good news. My dad has started being much more careful about what he eats. I think his last doctor visit in combination with my recent success has been a motivator.

This has been happening with some of the people around me as well. My friend recently joined a health club in part by watching me undergo all of this weight loss. He had (and still has) much less to lose than I did but felt like if I could do this, he could.

Hey Cory!! Your food sounds yum! I guess beef can't get any more fresh than that!

Well done on motivating your dad - it feels good doesn't it? sense of achievement I guess.

Ok. Here's the update for yesterday and today. Yesterday was pretty good. I made bread over the weekend and enjoyed two pieces of toast made out of it and a tangerine for breakfast. For lunch I had a turkey sandwich with avocado, cheese, and lettuce (also with my bread). Dinner a chicken breast with broccoli casserole and brussel sprouts. Two veggies, I know. But I figured the broccoli didn't count because it was covered in cheese. :p

Today I had a bowl of cereal for breakfast, went out to eat Chinese for lunch, and will have chicken noodle soup for dinner. I'm pretty excited for the soup because I made the noodles for it. My mom has this family recipe for fresh egg noodles that's just fantastic. Plus, it'll be good for the brother because he seems to have caught a cold. I have a big project due at the end of the week and really feel like a don't have time for zumba tonight, but I'm going to go anyways. I've been staring at my code and getting no where for two hours. I think it'll be good to step back, get some exercise, and sleep on it. Oh, I forgot to mention that I did have a glass of chocolate milk today (yum).
