Hi Cory, sorry I've been slacking with your diary lately. Stopping in to say hi and see how you're doing. I hope all is well with you. :)

sounds like your doing great Cory, you are going to be a zumba guru before long :p

Coooooorrrryyyy..... where are you??

If you're having a hard time, pop in anyway and chat with us. Gaining or losing, we'll still be here to support you. Or are you just tied up with school and work?

Hey everyone! I'm FINALLY done with school. The last two or three weeks were really hard, but now it's summer and I can focus on more fun things (and on my weight loss). I gained a bit back, just because I didn't have time to either exercise or cook for myself. It happens sometimes, though. Over the next couple of days, I hope to catch up on people's diaries seeing as I've been gone for a little while.

Right now I'm trying to figure out what I want to do over the summer. I don't have access to the fitness classes I did during the summer, even though I'm staying in the same town as my college. If you aren't actively enrolled for the summer session, you can't use the gym and stuff. They're willing to take assloads of my money the rest of the year and it baffles me a little why now should be any different, but oh well. I'm thinking I'll try to teach myself how to club dance. My friend is set on going clubbing at least a few times this summer, so it'd help me out there as well as give me some fun exercise to do. Hope everyone else is doing well!

You are back!!!!!! Ahh so happy to see you back here. I know how stressful the end of the school term can been so kudos to you for getting it all done!

Dancing is a great way to work off some calories. Actually, I've been using YouTube more and more as an inspiration for new exercises. I'm sure you can probably find some great stuff on their. Either way I hope you're able to find something that works for you!

Welcome back dear :)

Hi Cory, glad to see you back! Hopefully now that things are calmer for you, you'll be able to get rid of the weight you've gained back. You're right though, things like this happens. I'm sure you'll be back to losing in no time. Sorry you've lost your gym classes. That must really stink. I remember you liked Zumba. Are there any other places where you can keep up with that?

Welcome back!! :)

Hey Cory it is nice to see you are doing great! Dancing is a great exercise I often do it in my living room! I love dancing and I can dance with the kids they love it!

Hey guys, I haven't updated in a couple days, mostly becuase there hasn't been much to tell. It has officially hit summer time where I live, which means wildly swinging periods of gorgeous sunshine and then raging thunderstorms. This switch up might happen five or six times in a day. :p It makes it hard to do anything outside. And frankly, unpleasant as well. It's hard to muster up the gumption when it's 90F with 80% humidity. Every breath feels like drowning. x___X

However, I'm determined to muscle through it today. I'll try to take a walk on my break at work today. I'd like to do something a little more intense, but I managed to pull my lat so any upper body movent is pretty painful. That means dancing and pilates are out for the time being. I don't think it'll take long to heal though.

I'll be by your side while you muscle through the bipolar weather. I live in a state that rains 80% of the time so indoor workouts are somewhat required. Good luck Cory

Lol the weather is similar where i live too, its been pouring with rain for the last couple of days and then today brilliant and sunny and not a cloud in the sky! , still very cold though :(.Ouch hope your pulled muscle gets better soon!

Hey Cory,
Welcome back! I've been absent on here too...actually, I'm going to officially end my thread on here...I'm maintaining and that's my goal and my work is really busy right now, so not alot of time to keep things updated. I wanted to stop in and give some encouragement to those who have helped me along the way and let you know it truely is worth it...not easy, but so worth it! I can swim in my new swimming suit without feeling self conscious, I can buy a new dress suit thats' not in the 'womens section'...and you can to when you stay with it! Keep it up girl...stay with it!
Sarah

My oh my how fast time flies! It's been a month since you've checked in Cory. I hope all is well with you. Stop by and let us know how you're doing when you can. :)

Hey guys, I'm tentatively back. Things have been really rough lately. My graduate advisory chair took another job and didn't tell me about it, so I found out second hand from someone else about two weeks after the fact. It's one of the worst things that can happen to a grad student. It's been hard to reorganize from that and I have admittedly fallen off the wagon from the stress of it. However, I've gotten things relatively sorted out and am ready to hop back on. Right now I'm just waiting for a strained ligament to heal and then I'll be back to my exercise. I'm hoping that maybe I could start doing some light exercise next week. The doctor told me to finish out some anti-inflammatories I'm on and then to slowly work back into it. I'm so ready though. I got on the scale today too, for the first time in probably a month and a half. I was terrified of what it would say, but I'm happy to tell you that I only gained back 3 pounds. I was expecting 10, with the way I've been behaving lately.

Hey Cory, welcome back and congrats on the relatively maintaining at 3 pound gain in 1.5 months. I've started a new thread on here after a short break. My new thread is losing those last 20 pounds here we go, or something like that! Sorry to hear about your grad advisor leaving...hopefully now, you're back on track! Heal up and then start your exercise and we look forward to hearing about your next steps on this journey!
Good choices to you!
Sarah
