Cort's diary

Thanks! I'll be safe...it looks like Rita is going to the east. Poor Lousianna :( But I hope we get lots of wind and rain and thunder and lightening. I love storms!

Right now I'm debating whether or not to get on that treadmill...meh.

Where do you live in Texas?..Im from the luling/ lockhart area.....Austin is a 45 minute drive from there......
I miss thunderstorms!!!!....Living here in California it hardly ever rains.....I never thought i would miss the sound of thunder but I do........last week we did get a thunderstorm......you know the smell that comes with it?......My nose picked up the scent...and I told Andreas...we would be gettind a rain shower before too long....30 miutes later lightning filled the sky ..and we heard the rumble!!!!.....He hates storms...I was in my glory!!!...
If you have to think about getting on the tread mill....well you know better girl...!!!!!!

Lol! I love you guys, you're awesome.

I've been very...well, aweful this weekend. Ice cream and cake and other junk food. It was my dad's birthday, and for some reason...I lost control. Granted, I didn't have everything all at once, I had small portions spread out throughout the weekend.

Havn't exercised, either o.0 I dunno, when my dad and sister are home I can't bring myself to get out there and exercise.

The storm missed us, unfortunatly. Not a single cloud, and VERY little wind.

Ooh, I know that scent you're talking about, KC, and I love it! I love it! It's refreshing...verrrry refreshing. Granted, humidity usually kicks arse, but hey...I can't complain.

I live about an hour north of Austin....five minutes from the West gate of Fort Hood.

where in California are you at? I used to live up near Monteray, and I might be going to visit my grandparents up there, in Herlong (about 50 miles north west of Reno) within the next few months. I absolutely adore the Sierra Nevadas! I just love them. Whenever I go back there I automatically think 'home.' It's just so lovely there...and hardly any humidity! It's just marvelous for bad allergies...whenever I'm there my allergies are pretty much non-existant!

Forget the weekend. This week will be great. It is so hard when you have people around and celebrations, but it doesn't matter because tomorrow is a new day. I know you can do it! I didn't have the best of weekends either. Not terrible, but not as good as I hoped for. We all need to knock it up a step so we can win those postcards! And then we can walk around with big smles on our faces all week long!

Aww, thanks guys!

I dunno if I'll be able to exercise today. I will most certainly try, though. Dad was home yesterday, so exercise was a no go. But he went to work today, so that's good.

Problem.

I feel sick as a sick dog. Look like it too. I havn't been sleeping that well these past few nights (since Rita, actually) due to horrible post nasal drip. Last night was absolutely horrfic though. Took me a couple of hours to finally fall asleep, after millions of turning and flopping every which way to try and alleviate drainage, I even tried sitting up. The only wait was really face down, so I finally fell asleep around one, woke up again at 4.30, thankfully it didn't take me too long to get back to sleep then, but then I woke up at 6, and I havn't been able to get back to sleep. It's terrible, I tell you. Now my nose is stuffed AND runny AND draining into my throat. Bleh. I tried some sort of nose mist, which clears the nose but it doesn't stop drainage (if not makes it worse), and chlortrimitron (the allergy medicine I use) doesn't help, either. So I don't think this is allergies. I'm going to try some sudafed later...I hope it helps.

But in spite of all that, I'm going to attempt to do half of a mile to a mile, later on. It depends on how bad I'm feeling.

Thanks guys :)

I'm feeling a tad better. Nyquil really seems to be helping, sudafed, too. Last night I slept...okay. It was better than the past week, even though I woke up exactly every two hours (the vaporizor started making weird noises when the water got low...every two hours), and I finally said eff it and I unplugged it around six in the morning. And every 4 hours I had to take medicine, so in a way that's good.

I havn't been able to exercise..I feel so weak...and yet undoubtedly hyper at times (like this morning, I was exhausted but I was hyper all of a sudden and nearly talked my mom's ears off). To make things worse, I havn't been able to sleep during the day, at all, even though I try to.

I had some watered down cream of chicken for breakfast, and some buttery smooth crackers for a snack. But that's all I've eaten. I gave into sugar need and had an 8 ounce soda...I know, bad me. Especially since it worses post nasal drip. I confuse myself sometimes. *rolls eyes* I havn't been drinking a lot of water, but I have been drinking it.

Thank goodness for showers. You might not feel clean on the inside, but it's nice to feel clean on the outside.

awwwww...... I'm sorry youre sooooo sick! here, catch these throat lozenges ~0~0~0
there, I sent 3..... hope youre feeling better...
NOW DRINK SOME MORE WATER! :)

*catches throat losenges* Thanks Christina! muchly appreciated!

Cora, yes, I am, thank you! I have a stuffy nose and still having drainage, but nothing compared to what it was. I started using the Alkaselsir (sp?) cold plus stuff, and let me tell you, it WORKS. It's nasty. But it works. It tastes like super salty carbonated water. Yuck. Last night was really quite blissful. I didn't wake up once (unless you count the time I woke up when my dad and sister were getting ready for work). I had some weird dreams though. One I blame on Lost. I dreamt I was in a plan accident and I was sitting in the compartment behind the captain's thingit and we blew up, and then I remember being like, one out of two or three survivors, and I remember pulling out a long, blood covered stake from my abdomen and then I was fine and I reminisced that people who survived plane accidents tended to be really good friends. Yeah. I had a sadder dream after that...about my cat, Moose, who was put down last January. I was petting him and cuddling him and I was saying to him "You're not dead yet, this was when you weren't dead." and then I woke up and I remembered he was dead. *sighs*

anyways, I'm feeling well enough to do some tae bo, soon. I really, really want to exercise. And I want to do tae bo (which is a weird think because I'm really POed at Billy Blanks...I can't stand it when he smiles...grrr...). SO. I think I'm going to take some more nasty medicine *whimpers* and then go exercise. Yay!

Cort, you are such a great person. I'm sorry you had a gross dream and then a sad one. I'm sorry your cat passed on. I love my kitties.... they are still young yet, ones 5 and one is 6 , I think.... anyway.... Alkaseltzer is GREAT! It truely does work wonders, even for hangovers, for future refrences....lol
If you hate Billy that much, then pretend you kicking his butt when youre doing the Tae Bo, God knows I've done that b4.... I've also pretended I was kicking the fat out of me... and a few other people that I can not stand..... then I sprained my shoulder, ok, dont do that! LOL

Awww, thanks! You're so sweet! Yeah, we have...6 cats, now. The oldest is 6, almost seven, and the rest are 5, 3, and 2.

lol! well, I don't 'hate' him...I hate his energy! It's not natural for someone to be so entergetic! ;) :p I'm getting along much better, though, now that I've built my cardio up! I was able to do 20 minutes last night, and close to 25 minutes today. I would have done more but my hips were starting to hurt.

I'm almost finished with my second 20 ounce bottle of water...so...yay! I'll try and drink lots more..up to 80 ounces, with luck.

6 cats! how many liter boxes do you have? I only have 2 cats but I have 3 liter boxes to make sure we have no accidents.... Cats are gorgeous and lovey and all cute, but they could be smelly little jerks! LOL
I'm glad you dont hate billy, but you can still pretend your punchin' him... I'm sure he wont mind!
