So, yeah, I have done roughly nothing today except sleep and eat occasionally. No run. And now I don't be doing any running at all 'til August. But I'm not really caring. I'll pick it back up then, 20 lbs lighter.

Tomorrow I'mma take a set of Jan - June comparison / V Diet before pics...well, or maybe the next day.

So, uh, yeah.

So it occurred to me that there's no way for me to work in the pickles, so I'm gonna just add salt to my shakes. He's hoping it's not ridiculously disgusting. :D

Also my weight has been trending at just abot 190 (191'ish). So, yeah. If I don't lose 20 lbs or so on the V Diet, it was mostly just a test of will, as I was doing just fine without it.

Edit: Turns out it tastes vaguely like chocolate milk. With almonds in it. The salt appears to have actually improved the flavor. I threw in some ice cubes as well, since that always helps. And the metamucil gives it a fibrous kick without all those proestrogens and such. No flax for me, thanks.

This tells the [FOCUSED] something.

It is possible, with the sudden "shake" in diet, the trend will stop. (meaning a "benefit")

Same products in trend = same trend.

Shake up in the products of the trend = potential shake up/change in trend history. (he, he)

Nono, when I say trending, I mean averaging out at that weight. As in, it's been going down, and it's not a fluke. For the last five days I have weighed: 193.4; 192.8; 192.4; 191.6; 191.4. I was at 197'ish a couple weeks ago. So I'm saying what I was doing was already working (finally), so it's pretty dumb to change it up, but I've always wanted to see if I can do this, so.

Anyway, if it's a complete fail at rapid fat loss, I can always go back to what I was doing before. I'm in it for the long haul... it'll just be another way not to do it to add to the list. :)
 
Also, and this is gonna sound weird, but that shake I just had was surprisingly satisfying. Like, disturbingly so. I can already tell, the challenge isn't gonna be not eating other stuff, it's gonna be getting these things down when I'm not even close to being hungry yet.

So my second attempt at the shake here has turned into more of a pudding. Did just the one cup of water, and 8 ice cubes, then blended the **** out of it on puree mode. I'm eating it with a spoon as we speak, and it's actually quite excellent. Am I going crazy already?

Oh, and you said your grip was the limiting factor in the romanian deadlifts.. you can always use a mix grip if you want to make the grip easier on the heavy sets and use a standard grip on the lighter sets.. but you don't get much if any grip work using the mix grip...

you prolly already know all this tho, but just throwing it out there in case ya don't.


EDIT: Where are you logging your food by the way? That's more advanced than fitday.. I would like to use it myself..

Yeah, I honestly don't think I'll have any trouble at all. Sounds kinda ridiculous and over****y, but you have no idea how right my mind is right now. It's crazy. I'm like a robot.

Some almonds mixed in on training days. And the fibre supplement (because, as I said, I refuse to use flax... this bumps up my carbs, but I'll explain why I can get away with this in a sec).

Pretty much, yeah. I don't want to get catabolic on my non-training days. I'm sticking to crazy high levels of NEPA like brisk walking, lasertag, hiking, etc. I'll be at or near 50 hours of my 100 hour summer goal by the end of tomorrow lol. XD I'll pick up the running again 20 lbs lighter, in August. :D

Yup yup, and it's appreciated. I don't mind that it's my grip holding me back. It's getting stronger faster. Same with my biceps. They are like, rawr.

It's pretty neat. It costs $50, though. But I think it's well worth it. But only if you're a huge nerd, really, as most of the tracking is nothing you can't do with a very basic understanding of Excel. I could tell/show you how, or make one for you. It just isn't worth $50 to me to bother for myself. XD

The only thing about it that's not perfect, is the custom parameters (instead of weight, you can track measurements, bodyfat, whatever to auto-adjust caloric intake to meet your goals) don't quite work properly on Vista. And, it counts fibre as carbohydrates in the % calories from pie chart breakdown it does. It doesn't count them for your totals and such, only for the visual representation. Which is a little annoying, but he said he'd fix it in the next update, if that ever happens. :)

Anyway, it's called DietPower. And a free trial is available through the website, so, checks it out if you likes.

Thoughts

Messed my bench all up and started screwing around. That damned she-hulk is a distraction. Also I went all baby weights on the face pulls. Not sure why, different rig and I wasn't really thinking I guess. All in all, not too bad. Feeling the V a little bit, but I think it's probably all in my head. If anything it was all that lasertag. Holding that gun up in the air for 6 hours (alternating hands so I can frag a fool ambidextrous lol) sored me up.

V Diet Shake #3 is coming up in a sec, and I'm not at all dreading it. Not yet anyway. Also, 5 hours of lasertag tomorrow. It's Canada Day, wooh wooh. :D

So I'm currently drinking my last shake of the day. Did chocolate for all the rest, so I thought I'd try one of the other flavors. Seems they messed up my order and gave me the banana flavor instead of orange creamsicle. Either that or they're seriously confused about what banana tastes like and/or what an orange tastes like. But I'm not mad. It turns out that this is hands down the best protein+flavor combination I have ever tasted. It's not even in the same ballpark. I actually like it. After a whole day of drinking shakes, I am currently enjoying this beverage. Outrageous. :D

Hell ya bro. I am really looking forward to seeing what kind of results this will give ya... I am getting really hardcore right now too and I would totally be willing to do something hardcore like this if it comes to that. I am already considering keto again.

That reminds me... what did you think of that diet? I have mixed feelings about it.

In a little while here, I'mma take a picture. On Day 2, after my first shake of the day. This should, hopefully, have allowed for the water weight and such. Next pic will be on day 28, after the first shake of the day, ideally.

As far as keto went, I didn't really get a chance to get an accurate impression. But my initial disposition was that it was excessively difficult to track calories. Fun eating all the fat kid food, but unnecessarily worrisome for me. This whole drinking of the shakes is much more precise, without having to worrying about all that grease. Anyway food is for fatties.

Oh, and for your information, chocolate banana is even better than just banana. And I've almost got the water:ice ratio down.

Yeah, I hear ya about the hard to track calories part and stuff... lots more estimation there.

I think keto is a great diet for fatloss but I would never do a cyclical keto diet again... with the carb up once per week. I think that wastes lots of muscle if you do it that way.

If I ever did it again I would eat carbs before my workouts for sure, and after as well.

Welp, for 1.5 servings of protein (1.5 oz in the case of trueprotein - which, by the way, since I forgot to answer you earlier, contains .75g of carb, or 0.5g per serving and 0g fat, it rawks hard), I do 1.5 cups of ice cold water and 10 ice cubes. Which is just slushy enough to not be difficult to drink, but still cold and refreshing. Quite a lot like an iced coffee type beverage, except over 9000 times tastier. :p I also add 0.4 oz of almonds, 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt and 1.5 Tbsp of unflavored coarse metamucil. It's honestly quite amazingly good, if you add it in the right order. (Almonds, ice, salt, and water - ice crush, then add protein powder - mix, then add metamucil - stir for just a couple seconds or it will thicken up).

And yeah keto seemed like too much of a hassle. This is the same thing, except with the carbs around the workout window, and none of the complications. I dig it. I'm hungry as ****, but I like it that way. ;) The caffeine helps a lot.

Canada Day laser tag action, wooh!

I've gotten to the point where I don't even try against groups of 5 people who are teamed up. I just toy with them, like a cat with a ball of yarn. It's hilarious. I shout the most ridiculous taunts when I'm not really thinking about what I'm saying.

The best was the last game, where I just let a group of 5 girls chase me around the entire time, and somehow ranked #3 anyway. From shooting people in my way, as I was fleeing in the goofiest way: Screaming, "Somebody help me, please. Ohhhhh. They're vicious. WHY WON'T YOU HELP ME. Oh, God." :D

Anyway, that plus walking to the Y, where I must now do my dynamic lower... you'd think I'd be tired, hey? But nope. Also I am nowhere near as hungry as I thought I would be, and nowhere near as sick of the protein shakes, which are now quite tolerable with decent flavors. It might be that I've fasted for weeks at a time before, for... I guess you'd call it spiritual reasons. Not really tho. Anyway, after doing that, this is kind of a cakewalk. I really enjoy the simplicity of not having to track or deal with any bull****, or wonder if there might be something better I could be doing, or anything. I'm wondering if I can get a really huge blender and make the whole day's supply of shakes all at once. :D

Epic fail

So it turns out the Y closes early on statutory holidays. Who knew. Dynamic lower tomorrow morning, then.

Also, tried the citrus limeade flavor, which is awesome, but I accidentally dumped 3x the amount of salt in, which was not so awesome. Still drank it, though. 10 down, 146 to go. Almost there! :p
