Measured myself today and was disapointed, have lost plenty of weight (4kg), my clothes feel looser, but the measing tape has hardly moved! NOT HAPPY JAN! Maybe it's because i haven't been to the gym...? can any one explain

Hi,
I find my weight goes down pretty consistently, but my measurements are much more cyclical. I lose from my face, bust, waist, then hips, and then repeat the cycle.
It also depends on where you measure yourself. Eg my consultant measures my hips below the big gut that I have, so the cms are not disappearing that fast, cause I'm not measuring the biggest area of me!
So, I wouldn't worry too much yet - you'll start to see a pattern emerging soon, and you'll feel the cm's melting away. and one or two cms doesn't seem like much, but they add up pretty quickly
I have just today fit into my first size 16. (2 weeks ago I fit into my first size 18! So, things move fairly quickly.)

THANKS Heavenlylamb

I think i have done it?

Checking to see if the ticker is working.

Thanks again. I am so excited!:)

seeing if my ticker works!

Why is it still showing up the url ticker factory.... I tried deleting that in the edit box, but then the whole signature disappeared?

Hi All,

Good to see everyone, I've been away for a few weeks!

Bam, I read your post and had a similar thing happen to me today. I bought myself a pair of Jeans, a size 18!!!

Now I know that's probably not a really exciting thing to some, but for someone who had a LOT of trouble fitting into a size 26 when I started, it's not too shabby, I think.

I'm nearing 40kg lost, only another 50 to go.

asy :D

Hi everyone, great to hear of your successes. I don't post very often because I don't have any weight or centimetre changes to report - I'm not hopping on the scales or taking measurements for a while so as I don't feel discouraged.

Even though I have only been on the program for two weeks I have noticed that my cheek bones are way more prominent and my jeans are already a little looser. A friend of mine who has also been on the program said that at about 3/4 weeks she noticed a MASSIVE difference in her size - does this ring true for anyone else?

I don't feel hungry anymore, yesterday I struggled to eat all my food, all of which are good signs I'm sure.

Is anyone else at the two week mark?

Yay for the Ticker chicks

Well done Living It and Heavenly lamb, your are officially tickerified!
I'm not sure why your ticker is showing the Url thingy Heavenly lamb?
Maybe do it again from scratch?? You are copying the whole thing, everything and pasting aren't you?
Okonano - she says she does not know!

Never give up on a dream just because of the length of time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway!

Hi Louise,
I'm at the same stage as you, Just starting my third week. I'm not weighing in untill the 23rd October, the loss on my ticker was from the first week, I made my consultant weigh me!! I have been taking measurements though weekly and they are deffinately going down. I have lost some weight around my neck which was pretty noticable for me, but the rest I just don't know, I actually don't feel like I have lost much at all. My clothes fit a little better but thats about it. I can't wait to go down a size! Onwards and Upwards!!

Flabbergasted - Adj. Appalled over how much weight you have gained!

I will try and get my ticker up and running tomorrow.

Hope you all have a great Cohen's day tomorrow, I know that I will, even though I am expecting the first week to be hard.

Henny

Thanks Melly P I will be watching your ticker very closely over the next few months!!! I have 12 kilos to lose - I can't wait until it's gone. Sometimes I think about treats but then I make my self busy so I forget! I went to have yoghurt for breakfast this morning and I was 30 grams under what I needed because my husband had been eating it!!! I had to have an egg instead!

HI Louise. I'm a newie too. I am starting my 2nd week today and just in one week i have noticed a difference.4 kilos and feeling heaps better. I am not hungry at all which is great. I also have 12 kilos to loose now so that's not too bad and i'm sure we can do it . It won't take that long if we follow 100 %.
Then hopefully by Christmas and new years we can enjoy our selves!! No tuna for Christmas day lunch for me...

Great, so there's MellyP and KLJ all on the same 'level'. I'm curious now about how well I'm going.

It is my 22nd b'day this thursday and i cant for the life of me believe that im in that size clothing.. i cant remember the last time i was in a Size 12.. or a 14for that matter.. I wish i had have done this for my 21st Birthday.. but arr well.. cant dwell on the past.

your weight lost is quite impressive too... keep it up.. congratulations. We start at about the same time. Happy Birthday I can't remember when the last time I was 68 kg. I am so hapy that I am on this program. Better late than never.. right..

Hi KLJ and Louise, You guys are going to be looking awesome in no time!!! I wish I only had 12kgs to lose! Congrats to you both for stopping the weight gain in it's tracks and doing something great to get rid of it forever. When I was only 12kg heavier than my ideal weght I thought, I can handle this, I'll get rid of it, but I didn't proactively do anything very much different. and now I am 30 kgs over my goal weight and saying to myself why did I let it go so long!! Thank God for Cohen's!! Nomatter how much or how little (to some) that we each have to lose, we are all in this together and we are all going to look amazing!!! :D:D:D:D:D

Double Digits.....

Well we are back from our 4 week holiday in victoria and we are happy to say that we actually lost weight whilst away... We are so very proud of ourselves... Missed the footy grand final though as we were with family in canberra/sydney and they are not footy people... :(

Haven't caught the 80 odd pages of new posts yet but i have had a quick look... and wow all the new names here... can't wait to start talking to you all...

Got to get back to work bye for now...

Funny but I feel like Ihave LOTS of weight to lose. I remember when it was just a few KGs and it was so much more doable. Anyway, you're right - better late than never.

I am quite hungry today. If I get through the day without deviations I'll be happy. The egg wasn't as filling as the yoghurt I have since found.

Advice needed

Hi Everyone,
great to read through the forum. I started cohens on the 3rd october 2005 and had lost all my weight (35kgs) by the 15th of Feb, 06. If I can help anyone please let me know.
JOY

Hi Joysey: I have a question for you. I was 4 days away from the end of my re-feed when I had to deviate. Am planning my wedding and had to go food-tasting and cake eating! Anyway, I've not gone back to finish the re-feed.My weight has not moved from 54.8kg. My goal weight by Dr Cohen was 51-54kg. Anyway, I just want to know if there are any consequences to my not finishing re-feed. I feel guilty about it, but I just can't start again....

Has anyone gone back on the diet to lose just a few extra kilos? I'm not that happy with my end weight now. Would like to be at 53kg, but thought I'd re-start after the wedding and honeymoon in Dec,

Any advise would be great

Hard Day

Hi Everyone

Today is my second day and there is no other words to describe how i feel but nakered! I could not sleep all night! I am tired and drained. Headaches.... it is so bad i think i might die.

To make matters worse, i had a conference on today. I had to organise lunch for everyone. i went to the usual fav cafe to order some sandwiches. They are lovely there usually and make the best sandwoch you will ever eat. May Fav anyway. So i ordered the most boring sandwiches i could, ham, cheese tomato so i would not break away from Cohens. I figured i was not going to miss out on much.

I was given the order which was packaged and then the lady who owns the shop said to me on the way out "your a good client, i hope you like it." I assumed she meant the boring sandwiches.

I got back to work and started unpacking everything and there it was.... my favourtite sandwich in the whole wide world..... staring at me.... i could smell it. taste it.... she had given me one on the house.

with all that i had left, i chucked it in the bin..... i still have misgivings about that....

Anyway, i am grumpy.... and hungry so i will not bore you with my sad life.
hope to get the the bubbly happy stage you all seem to be at SOON!
