weigh in

had my weigh in on Saturday - and I've lost 14.5 kg in 7 weeks, so I'm pretty happy with that. and a total of 45.1 cm.
In the last month, I've lost heaps off my waist, which was going fairly slowly before and my bust has slowed down - so the weight loss is gradually working its way downwards!!
My clothes are all hanging off my today...... Any suggestions for interim solutions?! The suit jacket i was wearing today is probably 10cm too big for me, at least!

I'm still eating out often, and find that if I am disciplined at several events in a row, I'll then HAVE to eat something wrong either at home or the next event. I start to feel too deprived. But I'm gradually reducing the amount and number of times that happens, so I'm happy with that.

My consultant recommended taking extra zinc to assist with skin elasticity since I wasnt following the plan 100%. So, I got some of that yesterday, and we'll see what effect it has!

sunshine

hey sunshine,

to be honest i was starving for about 2 weeks prior to refeed. I woke up one day with the mos intense hunger and i put up with it because i wasnt quite at my goal weight. Turns our goal weight is a guide not a hard and fast rule. Hope this helps

Slinkee, Bam and lessfatty - Thanks for a laugh. I don't think I would like to be referred to as "not a small girl" either but as lessfatty said, it's better than "she's a big girl". Next time refer to h2b as "not a very big bloke" and I don't mean his weight, see what he thinks of that!!!

Thanks 8-2much - I really had a shocking weekend and hope not to have another one like it. I'm really frightened of not getting to goal but at the same time so determined to get there. I will do it and I will look good. Thanks for the post.

BAM - Congrat's on the comments, I'm so happy for you.

Congratulations Heavenlylamb on the huge weight and cm loss. You must be feeling great.

Had a much better day today and am looking forward to the next weigh in!

Take Care all

WELL DONE JAYCE!!!

Gee i hope my 8 week weigh in is as good as yours :)

Got a slight feeling it wont be, but im very happy with what i have achieved so far.. its a big difference!!! Congratulations once again, thats fantastic!!!

hello.. good morning,

I have not been posting- busy running around last week.
Someone ask about digital weighing machine- I saw one at Carrefour at Plaza Singapore - reasonanbly prices - the brand is Camry.

I deviate for a day last week - at a BBQ- had more than my share of chicken and 2 pieces of cake. Sigh!....

I was very remorseful. On Sunday, I went to the hospital to visit my sister, she is diabetes like me but her case is really serious, her foot has turn gangrene and doctors are battling to save her foot - worst case senario - amputate. I have one of those light bulb moment. I want to grow old to see my children grow up and to see my grandchildren. I MUST NOT deviate. I must reach my goal. I want the diabetes, high blood pressure, knee problems to go away. I want better quality of life.

Reading all the post are so encouraging - esp the advice given. Thank for being there....

Go Jayce!!

that's fantastic Jayce, and must be so motivating for you.:)
18kg in 8 weeks, woohoo indeed!!:)
keep up the good work, you must be feeling fantastic :)

JR MINT- for food - you can buy it from Peter - at the clinic for $50 or alternatively at Tangs and Poon Huat. For measuring our body weight - Carrefour - very cheap - the brand is Camry.

can anyone in Singapore tell me where I can get digital weighing scales? Have been using the ones at work, but when I start re-feed this week, will need a scale of my own at home. I've only seen them sold at Guardian Pharmacy.....and the rest of the places have those usual non-digital scales.

The one sold in Guardian (body) is fine. I saw that they have this glass panel design which is fabulous looking. Don't buy the one which tell you body fat etc, its not accurate and a big hassle to use!

NEWS FLASH!!!

Some wally is trying to sell their Cohen's Program on Ebay... I have just sent them a very nasty email!!! IDIOT... Gosh that makes me angry!!!

Storm: I'm going to start re-feed :) so I need a body weighing scale. Thanks for the tip, will go down to Carrefour to checkit out. I really hope your sister will get better. This must be a tough time for you and your family, stay strong.

Fornight: How are you? Bet you're still doing really well. The scale at Guardian with the body fat thing is the only thing I have found and was thinking of getting it. Thanks for the advise.

NEWS FLASH!!!

Some wally is trying to sell their Cohen's Program on Ebay... I have just sent them a very nasty email!!! IDIOT... Gosh that makes me angry!!!

HI BAM

thanks for the newsflash, I'm going to give them a blast also. You can't do that!! They obviously have NO IDEA how the program actually works, and that we can't just give our program to random strangers, and what is to stop them from onselling the same program time after time, and making the $800 back. I didn't pay that much:confused:
I'm also going to write an email to ebay and explain to them that they should remove that, as it's putting people's health at risk

Getting back on track

Hi everyone! I firstly wanted to say that you are all doing such a fantastic job, and good on you all for being persistant and putting in the fab effort to reach your goals.
I started the program in May, and was on it 100% for at least 2 months. Im 24 years old, and starting weight was 78kg. In the 2 mths, i think i lost about 5kg (but seemed like more, because it was at least a dress size that was shed) Because of my lifestyle (and age i guess) I started to find it increasingly harder to stay focused and comitted to the program. I work in a Bar every sat night, and all my friends go out to tea once or twice a wk as a social thing, and this then led me to either miss out on that social aspect, or go with them, but make a good choice from what was offered as a meal. But this then lead to more deviation here and there, and I havnt been on the program solidly for at least 8 weeks. Every time i try to go back on it, I fail miserably!

Does anyone have any tips/suggestions/experiences similar that they can share with me? I have put some of the weight back on, but not all of it, Im still finding my jeans baggy, but becoming less baggy as the weeks go on.

My goal is 63kg, but I really would be happy with 65-67kg, but feel that because my weight loss is very slow (prob due to the amount that i need to lose) it can be disheartening sometimes when theres no loss at all even after following it 100%.
I would appreciate anything anyone has to offer, and have my fingers crossed, i can achieve my goals too...

Cheers

Marcee

ANOTHER NEWS FLASH!!!

I just received an email back from that idiot on Ebay selling their Cohen's program, so i thought i would share it with you all.. P.S- She has fired me up something cronic!!!

Actually the blood tests only check your sugar levels, cholestrol levels and thats it.Anyone who actually believes that rubbish about blood profiling has to be very stupid. 6 of my girlfriends and I all signed up for this program individually. When we all got our supposdely custom programs we got smart and checked our programs against each others. What do you think we found out? All the programs were identical down to the last gram of food. So tell me what does that mean? Blood profiling does not work. Just go to the nearest bookstore and see all the diet books that say blood profiling for diets does not work and is actually not able to be tested. I should know because I am a lab tech that does the test for all the doctors and there is no test for what they are claiming. So you are fooling your self if you believe their crap. Cohens taught me that there are still sheisters out there ripping gullible people off. You should also know that 4 of my girlfriends have finished the program including the refeeding and have all put the weight back on. My personal trainer was horrified at this diet because you loose your weight through massive muscle loss. I have swapped over to a 70% raw food lifestyle change and feel 100% better than I did on cohens. I have more energy and have lost 25kgs in 6 weeks. I highly recommend that you quit cohens now for your wellbeing. Have a great day.

ebay b!tch

HI BAM

oh my god, I have no words to express my anger to that email.
I have so much doubt as to the 6 of them having identical programs, and if she's such a freaking expert why did she go and spend the money in the first place? expert? my hairy yellow butt she's an expert.
We know it works, and that it's not a scam.:)
If blood profiling didn't work, why would Dr Cohen have spent 20 years doing this? and it wasn't designed for weight loss in the first place, it was for women with fertility problems.

don't worry, karma will get her in the end.

ps. and of course all her fat scrubber friends put the weight back on, the refeed and Life After the Program don't have much room for pizza and chocolate and bacardi breezer binges.

you have a good day
Slinkee

I just read that last part, and 25kg in 6 weeks, where from?? her big fat head?
I don't care what diet you do, 25kg in 6 weeks is far too much by anyone's standards, diet guru or not.

I don't care what diet you do, 4+kg a week is far too much by anyone's standards, diet guru or not. And that is going to do nothing for her wellbeing

ebay hypocrite

if that ebay person recommends you should "get off it for your health" how can they then try and sell it on ebay?? obviously not a very ethical ebayer if you ask me!!!!

and its working for us!!!!!!!!!

I knew this would fire up you girls :)

Ive emailed her back and now waiting for a response.. i told her where to stick it LOL Dont mess with the ~BAM~!!!

on another matter, has anyone else noticed the change to the paradise lites? They're now "vive" and seem to have had a change in the maize content. does anyone know if this has an effect on the plan? I might email the WA clinic and see.....
