Club... 250-300?

This week my daily weights have been erratic, not sure how much, if any I will be down by Wednesday, my official weight day. After losing 4 lbs last week I suppose I should be happy just not gaining. The week's not over yet, we'll see.

... The week's not over yet...
True - and your downward trajectory as a whole is so good, that even if you paused one week, it'd still look terrific!

I have been looking at my weight regularly and I think I will lose some this week, not a record but some.

I have settled on my just out of bed with shorts, shirt, and sandals weight, its usually my lowest of the day. Then I take a kind of 3 day running average leading up to my "official" Wednesday weight. I think that helps with the ups and downs but is still pretty honest. I weigh other times during the day, I can see a few pound drop when I work outside sweating without much water. This morning I "gained" a pound and a half just by drinking my coffee, some water, and eating breakfast.

Looking forward to Wednesday!

I always weigh (haha because I'm not weighing this week) first thing in the morning, straight out of bed. I think taking an average of the 3 days running makes it fairly accurate. I won't wish you luck for the scales on Wednesday. This is your determination & application that is achieving your weight-loss. Luck doesn't come into it!

Thanks Cate; I do feel lucky this morning down 3 lbs.

At 278 I am now officially 44% of the way through this club.

Well Wednesday is coming and I've started my weigh every morning to get a running average. Right now I am guessing I may only lose a pound this week, but given that I was down 3 last week I have no complaints. 2 days to go, we'll see what happens. The only change in my diet is more fresh fruit, between the unlimited supply of peaches and cantaloupe right now I am eating a lot.

And Wednesday has come, and I am down another 2 lbs! I was only down 1 on Monday, but Tuesday and today its 2 down, so I'll take it!

48% of my way to being out of this club!

It's Monday and the count down to logging my "official" weight has begun. So far it does not look like a lot of loss this week, but we still have 2 days to go, and in past weeks I have dropped significantly from Monday to Wednesday. Even if I don't I'll be happy just knowing I ate well.

And juicily! :)
You don't need a lot of loss every week, of course - but I expect you'll do as brilliantly this week as ever. Go, you!

274 this morning, which puts me just over half way through this club!

My weight has been fluctuating more than usual lately, I have been weighing at least every morning, some days even more, and over the last week I have seen everything from 277 to 272. For my official weight I just take my first weight in the morning, wearing shorts, shirt and sandals for consistency, then I kind of average the last 3 days, I always round up. This week my last 3 weights were 275.2, 274.2, and 272.4, so I think calling it 274 is fair, but this week in particular its a moving number.

Well done, Rob. Your weight is a moving number & it is moving down. Seeing 272.4 is tantalising, so that number will continue on its downward trajectory :D

And juicily!
Thanks Amy! I guess I am on the peach diet right now, very juicy!

Cate you are right getting a glimpse of those lows is helpful for me, gives me something to look forward to.

Thanks to both of you for posting here, sometimes this is a pretty lonely thread!

Hey @allogatorob
Can I join this club? Currently 272 lbs.

It's an interesting weight class especially for a tall guy like me. It's easier to be in denial while in this weight range. It's so common nowadays, especially in the US where I am. I've never been over 300 lbs. but I assume it would be more alarming. But to be fair maybe people under 250 lbs. find my weight alarming.

Hey @alligatorob
We are almost the same weight! I'm 272-274 (fluctuating daily of course).

Hey all, I just wanted to say that as of yesterday I am officially OUT of this club. :)
Two years ago I started at 400 lbs... but officially yesterday I hit 249 lbs. I weigh myself at home all the time, but I only use the scale at my doctor's office as an "official" weigh in when I happen to have an appointment for something... so the timing worked out just great!

For those still in the club, or those hoping to get here? I can tell you that in May of 2017... when I weighed 400 lbs... if you told me that I'd lose 100 lbs at the age of 51 I'm not sure I'd have believed it... and I certainly would have been thrilled... so to have now lost 151 and counting? Is kind of surreal. My point? If you want it, you can do it. Just know that you'll do it a day at a time, and there's no short cut for that!
Good luck!
-Frank
This post alone is so impressive. 400 to 250! A beautiful testimony to the power of determination and healthy choices.

I can't wait to get to 250! I have 22 lbs. more to lose, but that 22 lbs. makes such a huge difference in the quality of my life.

I'm about 266, hope to be under 200 in about six months. The number "266" looks absurd on the scales, I remember feeling fat as a teenager when I was 215-230!
Me too! As a teen I was like "225? What is wrong with me?" Now 225 seems like a decent weight goal.
