Club 200 Plus

Well, I'm officially out of here! ^_^ Who wants to do the honors and kick me out the door? As much as I like all of you, I'm hoping never to be back in the 200's club. Looking forward to seeing you all on the other side!

I just weighed myself at the gym today and I'm at 202! I'm so close to being under 200, i'm so excited. I've been trying to get there since I was 16, I'm 21 now! lol

Hi JMS28 :) Welcome to the 200 club! I am sure you will be back to 190 and even lower in no time :)

Do you have a weight loss goal yet?

Thank you Xenon!

Well I officially started counting my caloric-in-take on fitday.com on April 15, 2010 (tax day) so my goal is to be at my target weight by next tax day. For my height I would like to be somewhere between 110-120lbs. So far I am just tracking each day what I eat, and walking 5 times a week. I know I will need to pick up the pace soon, but I am just starting out.

I like someone who counts their time by tax days!! LOL!

So near Maryyy!! Hope you get under sooN! I've been hovering at 201 - 198 for so long now I almost just want it to go one way or the other!!

:hurray:Hey guys, I have to report my runnyness - I went to the gym this morning and ran for 20 mins without stopping! Proper running too! My aim was 14mins -1 min longer than last time but I just got into a zone and kept on going because I didn't feel desperate to stop. :hurray: It probably doesn't sound like much to someone who is fit and runny but its a huge milestone for me :D

Hi everyone! I haven't been on here in a while. Well, I had lost 13 pounds, but ended up gaining 7 right back.

Hoping I won't fall off the horse again this time. My father is being a real a**hole about my weight. He continues to tell me that it'll be impossible for me to lose the amount of weight I need to lose to be normal, and that it's absolutely impossible for me to get down to the weight I WANT to be (which is 105-110, which sounds kind of low, but I'm 5'2" so I'd still be at a healthy BMI). He is infuriating me. I lost control for a little while, but I figure that if I prove him wrong, my victory will only be sweeter.

How has everyone been doing? Hi, to everyone I haven't met yet!

That is such a great achievement Maryyy :-D You are so close! I hope you get there so soon....I'm rooting for ya!

That is really good for just starting out! I hope you get a refund next tax day to treat yourself to an entire new wardrobe :D My goal is 125 for now, when I get there I'll see how it goes. This month has been rough for me but I'm doing my best not to make it a lapse!

You can do it fatgirl_slim! It is not something that is impossible in the least...losing weight is like simple mathematics and as long as your mind is in it, you will lose the weight....unless there is some underlying medical condition that prevents you from losing weight, and I am assuming you do not have one. I'm happy you're back in the game. You'll get there and you'll prove him wrong. So many people have said the same of me, but I'm doing it so sod them :-D

hey everyone! Hope you are all doing well and keeping on the straight and narrow!

I'm still hovering between 198-201 which really really sucks. Am keeping calories down to 1400 MOST days of the week (i.e. 5 or 6 out of 7) and probably having one day when I eat what I would have eaten for dinner normally i.e. a restaurant meal so probably around 2000-2500 calories for the day in total.

On a positive note, I am now running for 20 mins in the gym without stopping - covering approx 3km at a time! WooHoo! The first time wasn't a fluke! For anyone around 200lbs who has gone from not running to running, I salute you! It is an achievement and you will understand why I am so happy about it.

fatgirl_slim, not sure why your dad would want to be SO negative and unsupportive but don't listen. It is possible to do pretty much anything in life (I'll caveat that slightly obviously) IF and only IF you set your mind to it. Its a matter of HOW important it is and HOW hard you are prepared to work at it. You CAN lose the weight, you just got to want to do it more than most other things right now. Just like, I'm never going to be an olympic runner, but if I dedicated all my spare time to trying, I have no doubt I'd become the best runner that I could physically ever be for me. You might not become 115lbs, your natural weight might be higher, but you can get to a point where you are not overweight. It is possible, it just takes focus so good luck and come here for support!

Thank you Xenon and JJJay! Let me assure you, I want this very much. I do have a lot on my mind right now, but I think that's part of the work. I need to change my outlook from the inside out.

My father is the way he is towards me, I think, because he was handed everything in his life and has never really had to work for anything, so I don't think he sees losing 155 pounds as something that is possible. It is possible for me. It's possible to lose more than that! Thank you for helping me to see that his disadvantage in life shouldn't be mine as well.

I am 260 pounds. I have 155 pounds to lose. Long road ahead.

YW Fatgirl_slim :) We will do it! Long road ahead for me too but I'm pressing on :D I know how difficult it is when someone you believe in does not believe in you, but just light your torch from that fire from within and run with it!

Thanks for all the encouragement Xenon. :D

Its really weird. 0-4 mins are fine. 5-10 mins absolutely kill...seriously...then after 10 mins I just get in a zone and actually enjoy running. I NEVER thought I'd say that. I even ran it today with the timer on the machine display rather than my normal trick of switching between the calories counter and the distance so I "fool" myself into not thinking about the mins too much. Did 21 mins today and am going to work upwards to 30 I think over the next week or two.

Once you hit 2 mins, try and push yourself 30 secs longer the next time...and the same again the next time, you'll be suprised at how quickly you get used to doing it.

I'm down to 199lbs again...on the straight and narrow...two and a half weeks to go til my deadline for MEGA weight loss. Got a pair size smaller suit trousers I'm determined to get into...

Hi! I started in on this thread a long time ago, then fell off the edge of the world. I'm back now! I started at 267 and have gotten down to 232. I'm going to vegas with my soon to be ex-husband's grandmother in July so I want to look a little bit hotter for that and hopefully he'll regret doing what he did! HAHA Just checking back in and hope to continue on!

Welcome back jaxie! You are doing great! Congrats on your weight loss so far!! I hope your ex faints when he sees you in July :p And I promise I'm not wishing for him to fall on anything hard in the process :-D I hope you have fun on your trip to Vegas! I'm thinking of having a party for my son when he turns 1 and I really want to lose 60lbs by then but with how I did so far this month...I don't know if I'll do it! Still trying for it tho!

jjjay I cannot believe you are up another minute again! *dances* I am looking forward to my next workout! You have inspired me. I'm also back on the straight and narrow...We'll see what the end of month weigh in does. I'm trying for 255.8 and as of today I am 259.2...the same I was at the beginning of the month. I lost some weight this month but gained it back + TOM is here so I do not know how much was true gain...I went down to 257.4.

So 255.8 next week Friday HERE I COME!

You can do it Xenon! That's 3.5lbs by month end and ToM can do that to you easily. Havign somethign to work towards short/medium/long term is such a motivator and 60lbs by your son's birthday would be amazing. I couldn't have done it during the first year of having my daughter so hats off to you having a young child and embarking on such a weight loss journey! 60lbs is like...a whole skinny supermodel. That's how I think I might measure my weight loss in the future..."I have lost 10 newborn babies" "6 year olds " or "I aim to lose one whole little old shrunken woman"...

I've been sitting at 199lbs now for the past 3 days which I am really really happy with - 1) no fluctuation back up over the 200lbs mark and it felt like I had drifted around 201-202lbs for SO long
2) I'm just coming up to ToM (if the unbelievable amounts of spots that have descended on me are anything to judge by....I'm 31...not a teenager...I know it only lasts 4 days but this is UNFAIR!!! heheh)
3) I'm starting to feel much better - when I last went down to 193-195lbs a year and a bit ago, although it was only 5lbs or so from 200, it made a HUGE difference to my shape - it was like...a whole layer of fat roll disappeared so its my "magic 5 lbs"
4) The gym is starting to become a nice rhythm for me before work
5) I have 2 1/2 weeks to lose another 5lbs or so, which I think is doable.

Welcome back Jaxie - good luck with getting started again and showing that ex-husband what he's missing is a great way to get in the right mindset.
