Club 200 Plus

Welcome Bethany :)
Did you start a diary yet? I don't know if it will help you, but it sure has helped me...I love it. My highest weight ever was 298...I was 312 when pregnant but after delivery I was 295. Since then I lost 22lbs and I think I lost even more but I did not weigh myself yet. I plan on weighing in the end of this month. I'm doing the counting calorie thing and exercise. What are you planning on doing?

All the best!

Welcome Bethany! I agree, a weight loss diary is really helpful -particularly if (like me) you associate emotions with eating - it can be really useful to write down what you've eaten/done as exercise v how you are feeling - good day / bad day. For me, loosing weight isn't about 6 months on a mega diet, its about breaking the cycle of bad eating that I've been doing for the last however many years and finding a new way to live the rest of my life whilst still enjoying it!

Thanks for the welcome guys!

I have started doing the Weight Watchers plan, and I love it! It is how I lost my weight the last time, along with OBSESSIVE gym time. This time around I dont want to lose the weight quite as quickly (75 lbs in 6 months), I want to lose it in a way that is sustainable. For me, going to the gym for 3 hours a night just isnt the way I want to live my life! So I started out by changing the eating habits, which is my main problem. Ive been taking my dogs on longer walks, and on Sunday I started a walk/run strength training program that is 30 minutes a day, and at the end of it, I should be able to run 30 minutes without stopping.

I am really excited about all of it, but dont want to bore my skinny friends and family, so its really nice to have a place to talk about all this stuff!

It is exciting :D Congrats on your weight loss so far!!

I also want this to be permanent and I have some fitness goals in mind. Sounds like you have a good plan :)

My highest weight was 286, was down to 260, but I wasn't keeping up with it, and started to gain it back... :(

I'm happy that you are losing it again Erin :D You lost almost 6 pounds!!!:party: You're doing good this time around :D

I fell off the waggen and haven't counted my calories since Thursday. :svengo:

I typed out a menu on what to eat and at what times... and that should hopefully get me back into it. For some reason once I start back up it's really hard, but once I get into it it's easy to follow. Then when I go off for a day (this time we went out to eat to celebrate my sister's pregnancy) it's hard to get back into it. I need to stop going off it all together! No more, "well just today, because..."

Yeah I hear you...I had fast food two days this week out of necessity and today made three out of not wanting to warm up food! Can't make this a habit! I count calories even when I eat fast food, but it's unhealthy, kwim? Do you use a calorie counting tool? I use the one at sparkpeople...it really helps me!

raw food diet for a few days..i like to mix it up and cheat by body hahaha,206.6 this morning, thats 50 lbs ive lost altogether since i started,im happy!! although dec, jan, feb i was stuck at the same weight for ages...get me out of this club!! XD

Been in the 200 club for longer than I can remember. I was 250lbs during my peak in college (2005). Over time been exercising here and there and sort of watching what I ate. Cut out sodas, fast food etc. I'm down to 212 lbs as of last Friday and I'm serious about leaving the 200 club, hopefully by this summer!

Congrats on the weight loss LifeInFastLn and Cat man :D

Since you guys have been in this club a bit, does anyone actually talk here or is it all about just getting out of it? I know we all want to be out of it lol but I mean do others ever talk about anything else? I remember in 2008 this thread was pretty inactive and I started another and really there was good support, but this one just seems touch and go....

Or maybe I should just read through the posts instead of asking :blush5:

Since I've joined it, it seems to be mostly "Hi, I'm new and 200+ pounds" and "Welp, 199! I'm out of here." I haven't seen much beyond that. But, that said, I'm really looking forward to my good-bye 200's post soon!

Ahh ok....maybe I should save my next post for when I'm 201 lolol

I'm happy you're almost out of here too mizzy :D

Eh, I don't think there's any reason not to talk in here, that just seems to be the trend. Post away, I don't think anyone will mind. ^_^

If either of you are still here after I lose 30 pounds, I will join into rambling, one-sided discussions! :D

Until then, I'll return to the land of 300 + Club!!
