Club 200 Plus

brand new to this club, starting off at 235. I haven't been below 200 pounds since I started college, over 10 years ago. here's to hoping exercise and common sense eating will do me right!
 
hey guys, thought I'd come and join the club!

2008-2009 I went from 238lbs to 193lbs then stayed the same through 2009 until the end where I went up to 210lbs again (eek!!!). I'm now ready to get back down into the 190s and further down!

In the last month I've lost 7lbs and am now cycling 5 miles per night, eating around 1200 cals a day (little bit more at weekends) and trying to get back to the gym but work is so hectic at the moment (good becuase I am too busy to snack during the day...bad because I have no time for the gym).

I've got renewed motivation because there's a guy that I kind of flirt with and although its not going to go anywhere, its a focus for me now when I go to pick up that chocolate bar or can't be bothered to cycle the last few miles...I think of him in his wetsuit and feel so embarrised that I look like this!! Got to find our motivation where we can girls!!

Can I join the club? I just started yesterday at 219. Only two days in, but it's going well so far. But, as much as I'll look forward to getting to know you all, I'm hoping I'll be out of this club soon... ^_~
 
hello to all the new joiners like me! Just wanted to wish you all support and good luck with the weight loss journey - if other people can do it...we can too!
 
I'm hoping to leave this group by next week so I thought I'd just pop in and say, "Go Brown Team" and ....

I never ever ever want to see 200lbs again!! I'm 202.16lbs as of this morning! Pleeease oh pleeease let me smash these last 2.17lbs (just to get down to 199.99!) ASAP!!
 
heheh me too 20to10! i was goign to post a reply to one of your other posts about feeling like you were still looking really fat despite losing weight so far. When I lost weight in my "big splurge in 2008", I went down to 192lbs or so, and the weirdest thing was the last 5lbs from 197 downwards - it LOOKED like I'd lost 2 or 3 times as much weight...far more impact than any of the other lbs from 238 downwards. It was like...a real watershed between looking FAT and looking curvy/overweight. I'm goign to post some pics up when I start my weight loss diary - am the same height to you, so wanted to say as encouragement, keep going...the next 10lbs may have more of an impact than you think!
 
Getting closer and closer. Not sure how close, 14-16lbs ish, because my scale cannot be trusted. Sigh. Some days <200 seems closer than others.
 
I am new here! I haven't even weighed yet, been scared to step on the scales. I know my GW is 140 and I am around 210. Don't even know where to start, I have never been good at this whole weight loss thing. I have the motivation now to get started on a program there is just so much out there now, it's a little overwhelming.
 
You guys

are actually really inspiring - I'm sitting at about 253 lbs (in NZ we do things by metric so had to use a conversion chart) and I need to get motivated. Was doing ok and had dropped about 10lbs then ended up on a long course of prednisone (steroid) and I've just loaded it back on :banghead:.

I Want to find a decent guy and sort my life out and losing weight is going to be the start - by Christmas I want to be able to fit into some nice underwear for a change ............. :)
 
Before Christmas, I was doing really well and had lost 40 pounds (I started at 309) in a little less than 2 months. Then, during the winter I got into a really bad hibernation mode and just couldn't bring myself to stick to my diet or exercise anymore.

Now, I am finally (after having gained about 15 pounds back, unfortunately) really feeling a change in myself. I realize now that it's not so much about dieting, as it is about changing my lifestyle. We all know what is healthy and what isn't. It's just a matter of eating right for your body and yourself.

Now that I'm starting to see food as fuel rather than something to satisfy fleeting cravings, I am really confident that I can finally get this extra weight I've always carried with me off once and for all. In two weeks I have already lost about 15 pounds, without starving myself or feeling deprived at all.

I am so excited about my journey, and I hope to be out of this club as soon as possible! :D
 
Last March I weighed about 180lbs. Now I am at 220!!!! I seriously have fallen off the waggon. I stopped working out b/c of a super busy schedule - work and grad school and I have adopted some of the WORSE eating habits ever! I NEED to get this weight off of me. I started my weight loss plan on Thursday. I also started working out again. I know I have a loooong road ahead of me, but I cant go on like this!
 
Hi everyone :D I was 295 and lost 22 lbs...which made me 273 about a month ago, and it seems I have lost more weight since then. I should be weighing again before the end of this month :)

Hi guys! I am new! My weight has yo yoed a LOT. I was at 279 at the end of 2006 and lost 77 lbs, and was down to 202. Then over the past few years, I have completely fallen off the wagon and my weight SKYROCKETED to 310. Ive been dieting since the beginning of the year and my weight is down to 289. I want to keep going in this direction and hope I can join this club :) Unfortunately this weekend I ate an ENTIRE box of Samoas...so I thought looking for a little extra support might help!

Copper Boom- is the name Copper Boom from the Gilmore Girls? That made me smile :)
