Your welcome and welcome to the board.
hey everyone
it's been almost two months since I started to lose weight
I was 280 and now I'm 266!
I can't "weight" until I get to 249, then I'll officially be in the "lower" 200s
Why does weight sneak up on us?! It's like I stepped on the scale and an extra 80 lbs were added!
Yesterday I went to the gym, used the eliptical for 60 min. I will do this again tomorrow, and sunday. Weighing in on Monday.. let's hope there's some improvement.
I have been monitoring my portion size, cutting out fast food, and drinking lots of water and getting cardio in 3 times a week. So far I have lost 17 lbs... but I cant see/feel a difference. It has been about 4 weeks since this lifestyle change.
Any advice or tips? Meal ideas, exercise routine, magic potion.. anything?
Anyone around my weight that can tell me when I should start to notice a change?
h.
thanks Survivalism...
How tall are you? I'm 5'9 so it's also hard to notice gainning ( i guess losing too). Thanks for the ecouragement.. I will post my results from this week on Monday, although I have not been following my diet so well this week... I made my son some cupcakes, although vegan and only half the oil they werent part of my original meal plan! What's done is done, tomorrow is a new (healthy eating) day!
Take care all,
H.
I'm 5'9. *a lot of help*
But, at any rate, I think I'm about to enter the 250s any time now, I'm pretty psyched. I only got in half of my normal treadmill time, but I did have full-on guitar practice, which is one hell of a work out in and of itself. I also thought I'd do something nice for the dog and take her for a walk, but she was just completely unappreciative of my efforts. We made it about halfway around the block when she decided she just wasn't going to go any further and entered some sort of lockdown mode in the middle of the street, so I had to turn around. It was nowhere near the intensity of walking I'm used to, but I'm also not fighting an unruly animal when I work out, so the two balanced each other out pretty well. I'm thinking that I should get a pair of rollerblades and just let her pull me around. Some sort of urban dog-skiing.
Yes! Urban dog-skiing and guitar playing would make you a total catch! It's the perfect balance between artistic-sexy-band-guy meets wild -animal-loving-adventure-seeker.
