Club 200 Plus

Hello everybody

I'm kinda new kinda not. I've on the site looking around but kinda shy about writing stuff. I'm currently 241 and right now would just be thrilled to get anywhere below 220. I'm glad i found this thread!

Hi everyone!! Just joining this thread..hope everyone's sunday is going great and i hope all the dad's out there are having a great father's day

Hello 200s.. im 280 lbs i think.. 20.0 stone on the scales this am. I weigh everyday but only document on sundays. Im fairly new here been reading through posts trying to figure out whos still here currently and whos gone on to a lighter lifestyle. Nice to have y'all to do this with though it gets hard to keep on track all alone. I have been checking it every morning with my coffee before I get my shoes on and try and keep myself moving. I tend to sit at the computer too damn long, and I like the taste of my own cooking too damn much.

Defo! :hurray:I lost a lb even though I couldnt record it being monday and not sunday :( but made me feel good... I spend about 1.5-2 hrs every morning training my dog, who is about 15mo old and I used to come back from our walk angry :cuss:hating her and ready to kill her,:banghead: but I have been taking tips off the dog whisperer guy and HOLY CRAP shes a different dog:Angel_anim: I have a better attitude and we can walk farther and faster. Shes gonna be my excercise buddy!:hurray:

Everyone in the current 200 club... seem to be of similar weight... we should try a group er... thing.. dunno if anyone has ideas?????

I am 204 (last scale check this morning) and am tired of the unneeded weight I have

I wanted to say thanks to everyone for sharing, it is helpful to us. I am 28 year old female, a mom to a wonderful three year old boy, and I am 204 lbs. We moved to Atlanta from Orlando area for a few months or so and I was so out of the way of what I knew, I was up to around 230, I just had enough and a month, maybe more, or so back I decided to start eating healthier. Thank you Holy God! I prayed to God, and my prayers were answered, I found the way to start eating healthier and the willingness. I cut out oily foods, of course fried foods and such, sugared foods such as candies and snacks just for taste, I stopped white bread products such as pasta and white bread and incorporated wheat products. I do allow myself Lean cuisines and Healthy choice meals, but not alot. I already don't eat pork and such. I am happy to read all the posts I read on here, it is very nice to hear the support and truth that everyone shares. I can't wait to lose more weight. I know I need to work out more, I get so tired I think because of cutting out meats for a while, but I just started eating protien bars and morning star foods for such nutrients. We can do it, I know we all can together to move to live healthier lives for us! I am sending good thoughts to you on your journey with health!

Nice to meet ya!! and congrats on your weightloss so far!!!! I just cant wait to get out of the 200's!!!! I have been in them for almost 8 years!!!! I'm staying away from breads and such too..but man it's hard cuz it's my fav foods LOL!!

Thanks to You!

I appreciate the kindness! I know what you mean about breads, my three year old loves to make cakes every once in a while and I just try not to stare! It is very good thought that we are not giving in! I commend you on your journey with health. Thanks and Good thoughts to all of you this morning! We can do this!

Im off bread too, and pasta, potatos, rice, and flour. I wish my friend hadn't lost my weight watchers book, I didnt do badly on the points system. Im not going back there though I cant see paying them every week mostly its for the book and so they can weigh u once a week... I can do that myself. I didnt find much use of any of the classes after that bit. They talked a lot about prepared foods and the points in them... I cook my own so it wasnt any help to me.

Well this forum has to be as good or better than any meeting you could go to anyway! Aren't the before and after photos inspiring?! All I have to do is think of some of those - to remember WHY I am sticking to it - and that it can be me too, looking so nice someday.
Best wishes all!
Suz

Here I am....new to this whole thing. I went from 235 after I had my kids to 160. I've weighed myself this morn and I am back at 201.8 in just 4 yrs. I walked the dog the last couple mornings hoping to get motivated to try again. I feel tired all the time and I'm sick of it. I don't have a clue what I'm gonna try for the diet part of this - just thankful I'm moving again.

Hi!! Welcome to the thread!!!! 201.8, You are almost in ONEDERLAND again though LOL that's where i cant wait to be!!!!

I never did weight watchers...if i have to pay for something i can do myself...i just dont dont it LOL..I find online support better and yes I agree...the before and after photos are AWESOME!!!

omigosh!!

LoveHolyGod, you are far skinnier than me, but I'm near Atlanta, too!!!
Woot! I thought I'd never find anybody here.

Good luck with the weight loss. I'm a teacher so summer vacation is especially hard for me, but I'm battling!! It's nice to meet you.

Hello all welcome to the club... i wish it was club med or a red hot fireman convention but it is what it is and we are what we are and we can only go DOWN from here hehe.....

Dreamy.. i love ur word.. ONEderland hehehehehehehe

ok so ive decided that this low carb shit isnt working out.. i have been doing it a month and only lost 5 lbs.. i went down 7 and up another 2 again.. i agree i didnt like paying them it was crap... but the system seemed to work if i could stick to the points.. only my "friend" borrowed my book and never gave it back... i joined that fitday and think it is pretty cool to count ur cals there... easier then figuring it out myself.... so im gonna work on a new plan but last night I ate one very large chicken curry on chips (french fries) and i dont even feel bad about it... i needed it out of my system... im thinking i will tell Fred he can give me a curry every 20lbs or something... as an incentive program dunno if food should be my motivator though :ack2:

LOL

I battle that thought constantly. "I want pizza."
"Maybe later."
"When?"
"When you lose another 5 pounds."
"WTFudge? That doesn't make any sense!"

Yep, that's me talking to myself in my head.
There's this place (for the life of me I can't remember the name!) where people who've lost a 30 pounds and kept it for a significant amount of time can join. Every now and then the people that run the club poll the weight losers and every time they say portion control is the most important part of their weight loss.

So cutting out food makes less sense than eating less of it, or separating it into smaller portions that you can enjoy at a later date.

That said, don't look in my kitchen or you'll find something that looks like I didn't do that with the pizza I had last night. Whoops! Maybe start with foods that don't trigger an eating attack.

I got the FITDAY program for the computer and it's so cool!!!! I love it..i use to use the website for a LONG time!! I like how it tells you how much u have to lose to get to your certain goal!!
Is it just me or is anyone having trouble letting go of beer or whatever your Drink of choice is..I can turn down the burgers and all that stuff but not the beer on a hot summer night!!!
Spartacus....I know all to well about those eating attacks....for me i can't even nibble at the wrong types of food cuz i'll go non stop LMAO!

Dean Ornish says a drink a day (12 oz. wine or 4 oz. beer or a shot of liquor) as in ONE, is good for you.

He's actually 225 years old and his wife is gorgeous, so I'm gonna trust him on that one. I don't know if you think in weight watchers points, but a light beer is 2 and a shot of liquor is 2 usually, too. I don't know about wine.

So just don't go overboard and you'll still be okay!

LMAO!! 225 yrs old!

OK I ordered brown bread with my groceries!

I am going to get the program next week. I already spent my disposable cash for the month so my Fred said NO.. very firmly.. NEXT WEEK.

But he did say I could have it ... its only about 10 pounds English money so thats not bad at all. So far the online part is telling me... I keep going over my goals and I am eating too much fat.

But I ordered groceries this morning and got some better stuff coming. I ordered some bran flakes... gonna try a high fiber breakfast for a bit. Im allergic to milk so I have to use that lactofree stuff.. but I dont like soy yuck.
I can leave the beer... my weakness isnt pizza......

:banghead: ITS DONUTS :banghead:
