My leg hurts, a lot of pain when I go up steps. I decided to try to run, I even took .50 cents to call my wife in case I ran into trouble with my leg. It went really well I finsihed my whole 5 miles without walking. Right now my leg is really aching. I went 500 (2,500) calories over my max.

Kms for yesterday - 11.6kms (1.4km eliptical/10.2km bike) brings our new total to :

1278.4kms

Idohair - we count the kms done while exercising it can be walking/ running /cycling/ rowing/ etc etc, then deduct this amount from the previous posted total. Currently we are 'walking' from Banff to Winnipeg, once we reach Winnipeg we then decide on another location. Its really a way to keep us all motivated to keep moving!

To all my US friends don't forget this journey is in Kilometres!

BTW weigh in day was yesterday and I actually got to move my ticker... another 2lbs bites the dust:D

I keep my ticker in KG but im thinking of having 2 tickers (one in each)
 
Wishes - I started the forum with Kgs, but when it came to update my ticker I couldn't get it to read '.5' so I converted to lbs. Its very strange to type lbs because I don't think in lbs I'm strictly a metric girl and proud of it! So if you can suggest how to get the ticker to read a '.5' I would love to go back to kgs! At least our distance on this thread is in Kms .....(yay! a victory for us metrics!!!):D

Speaking of which ....my kms for today 11.6kms which brings the distance remaining to
1266.8kms
 
thanks troutman for the great job and also counting in my walking i wasnt sure how to do it sorry trout man i tried to conver my 2 miles into km this is what i get 2.600 mile equivalent to: 4.18418 kilometre [km]
is this right ?\

brat i wont pretend to understand the metric system. It can get pretty confuzzling, the easiest thing to to is do a search for metric converter or length converter and they are all over the place.
 
Here's a conversion site for you. Just plug in the miles or pounds and click calculate and it'll give you all the conversions.
 
Aussiechick, i use tickerfactory and it does the .5's ok for me. As for conversion i can do most of it in my head now :D
 
Did my running today, even though the leg is still hurting bad. Did 3 miles today. I thought I stayed with in my calories until I looked at the calories in my peanut butter sandwich. I guess that will be the end of peanut butter. I knew peanut butter has a lot of calories but its ridiculous how many.

Yeah...to have a pb&j sandwich you really have to sacrifice. I know for me, one sandwich was never enough to fill me up...I always had 1 1/2 sandwiches. (John would have 3 eek!!)
 
Glad i never really liked peanut butter. I have a pot of marmite next to my desk i occasionally put my finger in and suck on. Low cal and tons of vitimins :D
 
No kms for me today as Sunday is my rest day.

As for peanut butter.....yuck! Any true Aussie will tell you there's only one true sandwich spread and thats Vegemite! Though I've never met anyone who was not brought up on it to like it! Hot buttered toast with vegemite....drool....drool:D (Alas its now just a scraping over toast)
 
Peanut butter may be high in calories and fat 'BUT" its the good kind of fats
and i heard alot about the vegimite they say its like peanut butter but with a different taste ok here i go i had 2 miles fri night and 2 miles sat night toal 4 miles convert to kms =6.44 so last total was 1,258.8-6.4== 1,252.4

NEW TOTAL 1,252.4
 
I had to go back to 15 August to see when I last posted - I'm getting really bad about this!

Since my last post, I have walked 20.9 miles or 33.44 kms
Which brings our new total to:

Kms for yesterday - 4kms ( 1.5 eliptical, 2.5 treadmill) which brings our distance remaining to

1214.96kms

Yesterday was the first time on the treadmill in about 7 weeks, the toe didn't hurt too much as I increased the speed back to my usual power walking speed. It was a great relief...... I was beginning to think my walking days were over! (I broke my toe 7 weeks ago).

M2M - hows your new training regime going?
 
Km's since last post.......

Tomorrow is weigh in day.....eek.....time to see if the food choices and exercise have paid off!!! I walked 3.15 miles on the tredmill, so that is 5 km. Our new distance left is 1209.96 km!! :p
