Club 200 Plus

Vlcd

Initial C - VLCD is very low calorie diet.

BTW looks like I'll be cycling all the way to Winnipeg as my toe is broken not just bruised!

Aussiechick - oh no AC. :( don't strain urself. you don't want it to get worse. how long will it take to fully heal? :(

Basement Walker - Ah... Um. Second question... What qualifies as a very low calorie diet? cause personally I've always thought 1200 is a bit on the low side...

I am not worthy of this club

Okay, I ate half of a box of "Lite" Twinkies today. 120 calories apiece! I don't know what got into me. I can't figure out why I do this to myself. I am very happily married and have 4 wonderful kids! I am not a lazy person (well, I have been today, especially after I ate the Twinkies.) Stop the wagon so I can get back on!

You guys are right about the walking. I live in a great neighborhood for walking. It is very safe here in the hills of Tennessee and the scenery is beautiful. My kids would walk with me or my hubby would entertain them while I walked by myself. Twinmom is so right. It is heaven to be able to walk in complete silence. No hearing, "Don't touch me! I don't know where you've been!" or "Should the baby be eating out of the dog bowl?" or "You had your eyes open during the dinner prayer. I saw you so don't say you didn't!"

Dancing with my kids is fun, too. I am self conscious about my fat while dancing but kids don't care about things like that. My baby LOVES to dance with Mommy! :)

Welcome BW and Steph1986. I am new, too, but I can still say "welcome". Everyone here is so nice! Writing down what we eat is a great idea. I am embarrased to do it when I read what hillbillee is eating. He's all about turkey chili and no sodas and I am all about pizza and hamburgers! Gotta change that......

Okay, are some of you guys walking in Canada????? I think this is so cool! Do tell!!!

actually... we started out in Vancouver, BC, Canada. We walked about 580 km to Banff, Alberta. Now we're walking from Banff to Winnipeg. It's easy. Everytime you walk, run, cycle, row, climb stairs or whatever, take note of the distance you travelled. Then subtract that from the last posted amount. It's sorta our club challenge just for fun to keep us all active. :)

as for the Twinkies... I think Cannon from this forum said it best. He wrote/parodied Daniel Pewter's song "Bad Day" and posted it up to encourage AussieGirl to keep going after she ate 9 lil candy bars (in the Fat Blasters thread). I think it's great and you can actually sing it with the real song. It's great and inspirational. Check it out:

So You Had a Fat Day
Original by Daniel Pewter
Parody by Cannon 2006 @ Weight Loss Forum

Where is the moment we need at the most
You stuffed your face with 8 pieces of French Toast.
They tell me your blue skies fade to grey
Because you downed a pie today
Topped with an ice cream gallon

Your new talking scale just started to cry
You're stealing credit cards to buy pizza pie
The candy bars you ate numbered 9
There's 91 left and you feel fine
Time to get an ice cream gallon.

So you had a fat day
You gained another pound
You're gonna buckle down and turn it around
You say you don't know why you ate that way
It's gonna take time. Can't do it in a day
You had a fat day
The scale don't lie
You're weight is coming down just give it some time
You had a fat day
You had a fat day

You need lots of water everyday
Watch what you eat and exercise today
And check in with the weight loss forum

So you had a fat day
You gained another pound
You're gonna buckle down and turn it around
You say you don't know why you ate that way
It's gonna take time. Can't do it in a day
You had a fat day
The scale don't lie
You're weight is coming down just give it some time
You had a fat day
You had a fat day

(Oh.. weigh in day..)

Sometimes we all just go on the blink
We binge and forget how to think
Those 10 cookies had so much appeal
But nothing tastes as good as thin feels
And I'm not wrong

(yeah...)

So next time you're tempted you give it a pass,
Cause you've got the power to kick this thing in the ass.

So you had a fat day
You gained another pound
You're gonna buckle down and turn it around
You say you don't know why you ate that way
It's gonna take time. Can't do it in a day
You had a fat day
The scale don't lie
You're weight is coming down just give it some time
You had a fat day
You had a fat day

Got one better, aussiechick.

I was checking out at the grocery store and was talking to the cashier about my children and how much they eat. She said, "Good thing you are eating, too! You want to make sure your unborn baby gets enough nutrition."

Hi Everyone,
W&M, you definitely belong and are "worthy' of being in this club - we're here to be supportive and motivational and to get support and to be motivated.

Sometimes, support comes in the way of a kick in the pants - becareful of the Twinny Stick, she'll whop you good for those twinkies ;)

Just remember, that each meal, each snack, each treat, provides us with a new opportunity to start fresh and to make better choices next time.

As for the pizza type - I had 3 pieces of Pizza Hut Pan pizza tonight - to the tune of 870 calories for one meal. I just factored them into my daily total and won't be eating anything else tonight ;)

AC - I hope your toe heals quickly!

I already subtracted this morning's 5.9 kms from today's total, but I just got back from another walk of 4.5 kms which now brings our total to...
2152.3

Kms for the day

Kms for the day 19km

Makes our total now 2133.3km

Welcome BW, you'll find lots of support on the forum.

Regarding my broken toe:( its my little toe thats broken. Not much you can do except have it taped to the next toe. Should be healed in 2 - 4 weeks. I can still use the cycle at the gym. It just means that instead of getting on a variety of cardio equipment I spend all the session on the bike. And let me tell you ladies, it ain't the foot thats sore after 45 50mins on the bike!:D

I had the trainer check me out on the bike to make sure the foot was OK. Its just the impact of walking thats painful, once I've found a comfortable position on the bike its fine. I'm trying to get past the 20km barrier by the end of the week.

I've just read my post and it dawned on me that if I cycle 20km a day I'll be cycling 120km a week ( I have Sundays off). Wow, Winnipeg here we come

GUYS!! GUYS!! I lost 6 pounds this week!! SIX!!

*dances*

That is so wonderful!

Good for you! It's too bad your on a rival team! Oh btw. I loved the lyrics. Everytime I hear that song I know I will think of it. LOL. It put a smile on my face.

Trout man: The hardest part is getting back to it after you have a gain. It is so much easier to say oh well and slip back. I know I've done it enough times. But your here and you will lose those 10lbs. Glad to see you are back.

I've been doing my areobics and I have been wearing my pedometer so I haven't posted in a while so I am adding 10kms to the count along with Trout Mans 6.4.

Which brings us to 2116.9kms

Welcome Back Tman

welcome back Troutman!

Ok Tman, listen to me, hands up everyone who has never cheated on their food plan; given in to the call of the fridge; thought what the heck and go on a binge and then hated ourselves afterwards..........what no ones putting their hands up ......OK how about....passed on doing that session at the gym because you're too tired; missed going for that 4 mile run because it was 100degrees. Oh who's that putting their hand up for that one..why its Troutman!

Basically all I'm trying to say Tman is its great that you're back on track. Don't beat yourself up about it, you've achieved so much already lets all move forward:)

Oh Chip! I'm glad you're back! You're my moving inspiration!

What's done is done, just dust yourself off and keep moving forward! Coming back here was a great step in saying 'yeah, I fell off the wagon, but I'm not going to let it run over me'

We're here to give you a hand back up!

C - that is positively AMAZING!! I don't care what team you're on - I'm very excited for you!!

That 95 minutes of dancing seriously paid off eh? ;)

I didn't post my 3.2 miles yesterday so I'm adding it to my 3.5 miles today for a total of 10.72 kms which brings our total to...2106.18

thanks everyone. I'm pretty ecstatic too about the 6 pounds. :)

hey chip, hang in there. like m2m said, you fell off the wagon but now u're back on. and that's the biggest step right. the important thing is to keep at it. p'-'q

Way to go, C! Six pounds! You are my hero!

M2M, you are an inspiration to me, too. I think this is the thing I need to finally do it. Can I join the walking thing or is it too late? I am still confused as to what is going on there. So, are there 2 teams and who is on what team?

Troutman, I know how much of a setback 10 pounds feels like but check out your ticker again and see how much you have lost! You are way too far to let a pesky 10 lbs get in your way! You are back among your buddies and that weight will be gone in no time. I know you are motivated to run in this weather! I thought I was going to have heat stroke walking to my car today! Keep it up!

Can I join too?

I was wondering if I could join your club too.....I need to lose LOTS of weight....I gained 150 pounds when I was pregnant with my son and cannot lose it no matter what I do! I am trying the one-day diet now (eat healthy one day, eat these fiber wafers and fruit the next). I have lost 2 pounds in about 5 days now...
I am 28 yrs old, 5'8", would like to lose 150-160 lbs
Current weight: 296
Begin weight : 301
Goal weight :140 lbs

C - THAT'S GREAT!!!!! What a jumpstart. Keep up the good work. :D

Troutman - Hang in there, buddy. You've had setbacks before, and you'll probably have them again, but don't give up because this is a marathon, not a sprint. And I know you still want to run a marathon, so keep on training! :)

AC - I hope your toe gets better soon. Great job finding an alternate exercise so you can keep plugging along. :)

Hi, Newbies! Welcome to the group!!! :D W&M, the walking thing is like an imaginary relay, we are all on the same team. We all walk, run, bike, whatever - and then record our distance, subtracting it from the last person who posted. All together, we pass the baton, recording our distances, until we get to our destination. Then, we pick a new destination and take off again! It's just a fun way to stay motivated to move.
