I dont understand whats the deal with the BW squats etc. You mind explaining :)

Whats the problem with them? Dont tell me you're anti-bw training.

Ya what G said about water weight. Instead of cutting cals to lose weight, you could exercise more.

Yeah, that'll be the plan going forward but right now I have too much fat, I doubt it'll take that long to shift it and then I'll stay on the super clean diet but eat a sh*t load more than before. I would love to hit a lean 240 by the end of the year, that would kick ass

Unfortunately that means Easter is cancelled for me this year. That's gonna be tough

Lol, I think he just means they're too easy

To be honest they are too easy to be performed on their own but I'm going to try stacking 2 steps on top of each other for the lateral step ups which should kill my legs and then the BW squats will have more use in exausting them

Just wanted to add this too - I hate rest days. My legs are twitching because they want to squat, I fancy trying a 350+ squat right now but I don't have any gym gear with me

Tony - Could you find a place to squeeze in any more direct arm work? I just can't gain inches there anymore, they did get up to 17" but since I cut back on cals they've dropped back down to 16.5. That shouldn't be that bad really but with all the compound stuff you've had me doing I now have a pretty bit 47" chest which dwarfs my arms

Summer is on the way and I'm a long way off being ready to wow the ladies ;)

Looks like we'll need a Wednesday arm day!!!

How are you doing the lateral step ups at present?

Bodyweight training has a huge carryover to everything. Even debates about it cause people to leave the forum (trevor).

On a step, how many ways can you do them? ;)

My gym has med balls with handles so I find that holding one of them helps me add a bit of resistance

I'll post details of this mornings data later on but I have to put up Chillens interview and that could take all morning - it's BIG

My Day 3 routine was a little better this week, my grip was still limiting me but it lasted a little longer than last week and it fealt noticably stronger too

Deadlifts
3x5@ 286
2x286

Single Leg Romanian Deadlifts
4x12@ 99lbs

I'm still not doing all 15 reps on the SLRD's but I managed all 4 sets this week. I also managed 2 more reps on the heavier deads than last week but by that point I was having trouble even wrapping my hands round the bar

Weighted Sled Leg Press
8x264
8x330
2x8 @ 374

DB Snatch from standing
3x10 @ 27.5

I did this according to Tony's instructions after I asked him for clarification on how to perform this last week and I found it bloody difficult. Starting the move from standing makes it a hell of a lot harder and squating at the same time took a bit of getting used to, I fell forward a few times during the first couple of sets

Bradford Press
2x5 @ 88
8x 88

I used a low weight as I'd never done this before
A PT asked me about it too

DB Farmers Walk
I moved this until last as my grip was dead earlier, I used the 92's this week

it's one handed DB snatch? I only do one handed DB power snatches.. I never duck completely under; that's gotta be hard

Yeah, one handed DB snatch from standing, I don't even get to use the momentum you get from picking up from the floor :bncry:

I picked up a 39lb DB at first and my complete failure made me realise how hard the movement is
I can imagine I'll get great benefit out of this if I manage to progress

from standing.. what do you mean? you don't go down to the hang to be able to explode up?

Yeah, I'm standing up, legs straight, holding the DB at groin height and then try to explode into the movement. It's really hard on the shoulders

My action's as smooth as a rusty gate at the moment so I'm probably performing well under ability but it's getting better :)

I actually think it's kinda cruel to propose like that, unless you're 100% sure she will say yes (like you have maybe talked about it before). When I propose I don't want there to be any extra pressure like that, it's just unecessary.
