Ccr 2.0

I'll probably be off for a few drinks after work as a goodbye to the office.
Anyone have any ideas for low-carb alternatives to lager?

Vodka :D ;)

I'm back again, only for a bit though, my new work have had their network go down for the last two days so I haven't actually started there yet. I came in to train this morning though

Cable flys
2x12@ 121
2x12@ 132

Bench
4x5@ 187

Bench was lower because I wasn't able to perform the flys and bench as a set today. The flys came first meaning I was more tired than usual for teh bench

Push Press
3x8@ 110 (failed last rep)

Rows
3x12@ 169

I used a seated row machine today instead of the cable row due to machine availability. This machine seemed harder

BW Squats
3x12

Lateral step up
3x10 + 15kg

Sit ups
2x10 +15kg

Well I'm on 30g carbs a day (or less) with weekly carb ups on sat and sun and I'm fine. I don't notice it in the gym. Though it varies a great deal how your body handles it. Most people only feel they have less energy in the first week or so.

I think i should really be doing something like this, is it in aid to cut?

Well, first of all, let me say that there is a lot of discussion about whether it is safe or not and whether it is effective or not.

A lot of people experience that is helps them cut easier, yes. I'm bulking now with low carbs, to see how it works. Afterwards I'll cut with low carbs to see how that works.

Just to let you all know, I am still training, it's just that I'm at my new job now and can't come on here much while working

My internet is up at home though so I'll post training details tonight

Tony: I did 3x30 sec Iso pull ups yesterday :)

Karky: The bit I'm finding hard is the cravings, all I want to eat now is sweets!! Oh, and all the places to eat round here sell nothing but sandwiches :( I have to make my own lunches in future)

I was going to post details of my training but I've forgotten most of my lifts now. I'm going to have to start writing them down in the gym

One bit of good news though is tht my gym hnow has 50kg DB's so I did some farmers walks with those

The new job is going well, a couple of nice looking ladies there too ;)

I need to travel up to Newcastle next week, is that near you Tom?

Cheers Chillen

I'm gonna try and remember as much as I can about what I did. My lifts generally aren't getting any better since I cut calories so it's pretty much always the same right now

Wednesday

Barbell Curls
3x8@ 88 (3 sec neg)

Wall Sit
3x60 sec

Pull up Iso holds
3x30 sec

I can't believe I've improved so fast at these!!!

Leg elevated Crunches

DB hammer curls
3x15 @ 27.5 (each DB)

Elevated Press up iso hold
3x30 + 44lb plate on back

Tricep press down
2x15@143

Tony: I seem to progress really fast with Iso holds. Is it possible to make up a whole routine using them and do you think it would be effective?

Weighted sled leg press
3x8@ 286
