Ccr 2.0

Yeah, I counted it as 22lbs as that's standard for those bars I think, it's just that one of the bars feels a little heavier than the other. Probably not a whole 5kg but there's a definate difference

Anyway, a change to my diet is needed I think, I've cut my calorie intake which has worked OK for me, I've cut my BF% by about 7% but I haven't increased any of my lifts in a while so I'm going to try a surplus but with the carbs cut right down.

By cutting carbs, I don't mean cutting them out, I'm just cutting out refined sugar and breads. I think this should lower my carb intake significantly as I'm a real carb lover

Expect me to be cranky for a while :)

I'm also gonna start doing a tune of the day :)

This is an absolute classic

how can you call music like that a classic? I mean.. it might be good.. but for it to be a classic it has got to have instruments in it (a computer/mixing board/whatever doesn't count) :p JK

I'd strongly doubt that..

It's one of these:
standard_curl_bar_b.jpg

Its hollow, so its empty on the inside. I always counted it as 15lbs, since that was what i read. But when i weighed it it came out to be only 3-4lbs, and yes my scale was set correctly.

Wtf!

well if you put it on the scale.. then that probably is correct. were you holding it while it was on the scale? that can throw the reading off. Try to first weigh yourself without the bar, then weigh yourself with the bar in your hands and the difference is the bar weight.

when I weigh myself only my feet are in contact with the scale, which I estimate is about 5.23446576354% of my bodies surface area..

Ok I get what you mean.. I just had to you know.. being a comedian and all :D

Kark do me a favour and go dodging cars. ;)

You know what i mean tho, if you laid flat on the scales, it wouldnt give you your total bodyweight would it now.

For lung capacity do some intervals instead of hour jogs. Try 1 minute high speed, 2 minutes regular speed. 6 sets or 18 minutes.

:yelrotflmao:

I don't think you have much too worry about there, I'd be crawling after 20 minutes :)

I'll follow your guidlines and see if I can find a bar to do pull ups on along the way

I need a bit of help, today is the first day of my new diet (just cutting out bread and sugar really) and I'm a little stuck. I made the mistake of thinking I could buy lunch when I got here but there's nothing available that isn't stuck between two slices of bread!!

I walked into the supermarket thinking there might be something in there but walked out with 2 apples and a banana :(

In future I'll need to prepare my meals before work

Does anyone know of any books that explain the science side of carb limiting/cycling in great detail? I'm thinking along the lines of a text book and not a dieting book

This is a bad idea, I ate those for breakfast and now I'm seriously ill, I feel like I'm gonna throw up, my stomach feels like daggers are passing through my bowel and I've gone really red in the face.

I usually eat 2 bacon, egg and cheese toasted muffins in the morning which give me loads of energy, obviously my digestive tract has a real issue with fruit in the morning

Quoted yourself, LOL. :)

Do not do that, then! ;) Your body didnt like it, feel its thunder in telling you to get that crap outta here in the morning! :)

Seriously, I hope you get to feeling better, young man.

I got up at 3:30 AM (my time) to work out (just got done), and getting ready to go to work soon (have to be there by 7AM), and thought I would stop in and yell at ya, and review your journal.

Off to get ready for work, have a great day, my friend.

You will adjust to your new situation. I will look for some information in reference to (science side of carb limiting/cycling) and post it, unless TM or another does it before I do.

Have a great day!

Would intervals improve your steady state jogging as well ( to be able to run faster, longer )

Long jogging is only good IMO if you want to run really long distances for some reason, ie marathon, triathalon, etc.

Intervals will actually increase your VO2 max much better then jogging for long periods of time. So the answer is yes.

I'm stalling for time a little before going to the gym as I still feel sick after eating the fruit

Here is my tune of the day, well worth listening to, from back in the day when UK Garage was good (a long time ago now unfortunately)

What the hell, have another if you liked that one
