Cate's Diary

Thanks, Liza. Although I am not losing weight, I am feeling leaner & less bloated. Hopefully, the scales will start reflecting that soon.
Cals yesterday were 1470, deficit 490. It was a good, active day & I stayed awake during the evening & slept well.

I definitely notice less of a stomach bloat without the alcohol. Hopefully, we both get that weight loss whoooosh soon.

You sound good, Cate. :)

I feel good, Em. I'm surprised at the less bloat as I feel I am drinking more carbonated drinks. Fingers crossed for that whoosh!

Half a kilo every week would be awesome! Going by the deficits you reported this week I'd expect a little less (one day over the 500 kcal deficit, three days slightly below it, three days well below it) but you really should be losing weight. Time for a bit of a whoosh!

I agree with your approach Cate. Better to take it slow and make it a sustainable change.
Excellent to hear you're feeling leaner and less bloated--I could totally see how eliminating alcohol would do that!

Thanks, LaMa, Rob & Liza.
We're going to line up for tickets to see one of our favourite Australian singers who is doing an extra few shows in Tassie because of lockdown in other states. I missed out on tickets last time due to some robot sniffling them up & on selling them at exorbitant prices. This will feel old school, actually lining up waiting for them to sell at noon. It's cold & wet again today.

I kind of miss the camping out for tickets days. Met some interesting people doing that.

Another good night's sleep, 1474 cals & a deficit of 319.
Nothing much to say this morning. It's another overcast, cold day. Hopefully, we'll get a break in the rain when we go into town so that we can take Arch for a walk. We just have a few small things to do.
I'm very grateful for our situation in Tasmania. Being able to go see live music & move around freely seems almost "wrong" the way the pandemic has changed the world almost everywhere else. I am so, so grateful.

Please don't feel bad about enjoying life!
