Good for you, sounds like you made them happy as well. We have a saying here that the two happiest days in a mans life are when he buys his boat, and when he sells it! Sounds like you could apply that to your camper van...

Good luck with the continued sale of things, purging your life of unnecessary stuff is always good.
 
Thanks, Rob. I read that out to G. “Great saying!” We feel so much better about it. When we get back from our 2 nights away next weekend I will start advertising more stuff :)

I don't think you made a mistake, I suspect you have always thought you wanted a camper van and it took buying one to find out that you didn't. A reasonable experience and better than going the rest of your life thinking you were missing out on something. We all have to try new things, some work, some don't. The only mistake is not trying.

Now you need to figure out what's next!
 
I agree with Rob--excellent to have tried it out, realized it wasn't for you and then move on. Doesn't sound like a mistake at all. So nice that the sale feels so good going to people who appreciate it!
 
Thanks, Rob & Liza. You're right. I have always wanted a campervan & it did take actually having one to know it wasn't for me. I feel so relieved & happy this morning. It feels like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders.

I think if I try selling stuff that isn't very expensive it won't be too stressful, but rather than listing lots of things I might try with just a few. I don't want to be looking at my phone all day.
I really do need to get out & have a hit at the golf course. I was going to today but it's another crazy windy & wet day. It's meant to be like it for another couple of days apparently.
Thinking cap on. What is my next venture?
 
I think the next big thing will come along all by itself given a bit of time. Until then the internet sales will probably keep you thoroughly occupied.

Thanks, LaMa. I do need to think about doing something though as I have felt at a bit of a loose end this past year. I'll start listing a few things online next week I think & build it up slowly.

Thanks. Liza. It has hardly stopped raining & today is another rainy day. I took Arch out walking in the rain yesterday & he got very muddy. I had to carry him into the laundry when we got back & give him a bath. His raincoat is better quality than mine. I really, really need some wet weather gear.
 
I hope you can get some good gear for yourself Cate--really makes all the difference for getting out on wet days!

I will have to soon. I'm going to be in Hobart at the weekend so might try to get some then as there are lots of hiking shops. I looked online but I would prefer to try them on.
I changed my signature & took out my plan as it's just not working for me. I'm slightly adrift.
 
I'm on mobile so I can't see your signature but I'm sure whatever alternative you come up with will be great. What was the problem with the old plan?

The new plan just felt like too much pressure. I think I do better with a quiet plan. It varies from day to day. I did weigh myself this morning after breakfast, 1/2 a pot of coffee & 3 cups of herbal tea. I think just weighing myself regularly helps. I walked a lot today & made a new friend walking Arch around the river. She's Dutch & has a massive Russian dog with who Arch got along really well with. We exchanged names as well as dog names. I hope I catch up with her again soon. I'll keep an eye out for her.
My feet are really aching at the moment. I assume it's arthritis. My right foot is slightly swollen this afternoon after our 2nd walk. I think I have had a bit of cabin fever, with so many rainy days. 7000 steps so far.
 
implementing a healthy lifestyle such as eating, exercising, habits, and others. but what is more important is that you are the one who should be happy and enjoy life

Painful feet are terrible. Hope they feel better soon.
That walk around the river sounded nice though, especially meeting a new friend! :)
