Cassie's Diary

Hi NewLeaf :D Didn't you know I have ESP?! :D hehehehe It is essential in anticipating a "clients" needs! LOL Ugh! Water retention - It is usually all it is, but it still wil suck really bad to weigh in tomorrow and find a gain:rolleyes: I know it isn't a "true" gain, and I keep reminding myself of that but.... its a mental thing :p :D

Hubby owns a house painting business. We dont' advertise to reduce the "stark raving lunatics" but sometimes we find a sneaky one. ;) I go in to help when its a big job, both to save him time and when we figure out if we're close to the "bid" he put in for the job. We charge less for me as I don't have the 20+ years experience that he does.

Hubby got bored this afternoon. SO he says let go for a "putt". Okay, so we get on the road and he decides we'll go to lunch (we had set out with no real destination in mind) at a little diner off the island. Yeah, well, I don't think so Honey since I can't make a healthy choice at a place that fries EVERYTHING! I encourage another choice. So we go to Subway. I have never been there. It was surprisingly easy to make a good choice! I had a chicken sub and baked chips.... I have to go to find out how many calories the whole thing is, but it was on their "6grams or less of fat" list.... We'll see how good the choice was for my day :D I drank water. Soda didn't even interest me this time. Progress, since I am a "recovering soda-holic" ( 2 liters a day, easy).

Okay, of to see the wizard! (Subway to find out how "good" is good :D )

Subway is one of my favourite places to eat, I actually have a calorie guide from there that I keep in my desk for quick reference. Though the baked chips aren't any better calorie-wise than regular chips, they have much less fat content in them I think. Anyways, good job on chosing the healthy restraunt over the greasy one!

OHHH NOOOO!!! hehehehe

Oh. My. GOODNESS!!!! I thought Toadie was good for lunch but TOADIE WAS A BAAAAAD TOADIE:eek: My lunch at subway was 560 or so calories!!!!!!! The sandwich alone was 420!! And that was a 6" good for you one!! Then I had chips - yup Beagle, the baked ones. They packed on another 130 calories  Man, and here I thought I was good.... Oh well, I think of the fact that I may only have 175 calories for dinner (which I know I can do since I don't eat carbs at night) but I COULD have had what I normally would have (what hubby ate) and already be so over my caloric limit it would be insane!! Hubbys sandwich ALONE had over 1000 calories!!!! Then he added Fritos and a SODA!!!!! Now that is more than my DAILY allotment in ONE MEAL!!!!! eesh!

Oh well..... I will call it "Pergatory Toadie" hehehehehe

Okay, since I am not sure if I will be able to make it back tonight...

todays eats...

FF yogurt
Rb on slice of light bread w/ miracle whip and slic of cheese

bb muffin ( teeny one)

subway roasted chicken w/ provolone and FF honey mustard
baked Lay's
water

dinner as planned: chicken & skim milk

total calories 1097

Total exercise today.. 20 minutes on the bodyball

heres to the dreaded weigh in tomorrow..... its water retention, its water retention... damn Auntie Flo!

I love Subway. Yum. I used to eat there all the time. Good luck with your weigh in tomorrow. You have been doing so well, and your motivation is rivaled by none ...I am sure you will see results! Keep it up! :)

Wow! I can't believe that sandwich had that many calories in it. I would have never guessed. But look at it this way: the chicken is good for you because it is low fat and has protein. Try to not worry about the calories and be happy that you still made a good choice. That was certainly better than the diner your husband wanted to go to! :) And much better than the choice your husband made, if his had over 1000 calories. I hope your weigh in tomorrow goes well. :D

So how did Jared do it? LOL I still think you did great regardless of the actual number of calories, imagine what you would've eaten elsewhere?

I have a cousin who gave up his career in printing to become a painter. He seems to love it. Does the weather ever create probs? Have a good Monday!

Thanks y'all :D Despite the calories, I do feel really good about my choices yesterday at Subway. The only thing I would do differently is skip the chips. Baked or not they added 130 calories. Oh well, live and learn

As for the weigh in this morning....well, it was a gain as I expected, but it wasn't the usual 10 that I prepared myself for. It was only .8 pounds - not even a full pound so I'll take it :) I can "shed" that and more this week :D

Too early to think about food but I will be back later :D

Bizeb! Awesome.. only 0.8 lbs.. ok, where do you get a scale that reads out like that?! Who cares.. it is still awesome! ;)

I am sure you can shed that and then some.. keep up the great work! And wow you're rolling out of bed early too these days..

LOL Good morning NewLeaf :D I like my scale :D Its a weight watchers scale. It isn't always friendly - sometimes it gives me numbers that I don't like just so it can get kicked!!! The problem with that is it ends up laughing harder since it's made of Cassie's-weight-proof glass and it REALLY hurts my toes in addition to my already smarting ego!!! LOL I had no choice but to get up early. Hubby has been getting up between 4:30 and 5:30 every morning for work. Even though he didn't go today, my mental alarm is now set for that time and won't let me sleep any longer  Darn it! It takes about a week of trying to sleep later to get that alarm "unset"! hehehehe

Well, hubby realized he forgot an expensive drill and lead cord ( construction grade extention cord) at that ^*(^* job! He had to go to get it before it was kept as "ransom". We also decided to bill that &(&(* of a customer for work completed to date with the added note: "Our company will CONSIDER returning to complete the work when the unpaid balance is taken care of and we can take it to the bank to prove its worth." We are just so sick of her childish tantrums and verbal attacks. I also added the note to her file that she was " an unsavory sort of customer who seriously needs psychiatric help. Do no further work for her." AHHHHH I feel better :D Short of giving her a VERY unprofessional piece of my mind if she called, this is the best I could do to alleve my frustrations. So far so good! hehehehe Aint I a terd?!!!!

Lets see. Todays eats so far....

FF yogurt
light wheat toast
PB/ laughing cow mix for my toast
skim milk

Okay, heres hoping its a good day. When hubby stays home, you never can tell!

OH BTW! Here are a couple pics from my wedding! One is of my dress, and me at my heaviest, and the other is of our cutie pa- tooties at 7 yrs old (when we got married).:D The one of the boys will only be up for today. I made my dress and my brow band. My sister did my hair.... I can't believe its been almost 4 years!! Yikes!!

Awww.. glad to hear your hubby remembered those items! Hope you guys don't have too much of a hassle with this client. Sounds like a REAL pain!!

Gorgeous wedding dress!!! Your boys look so adorable!! :) How sweet!! but I imagine they're a handful at times..as boys will be boys! ;)

LOL Cassie you really gave her a mental what-for! :D I know from personal experience those can be *almost* as gratifying as the real thing!

Anyways, have a great day, I'll be back to check on you later today!

Hello Cassie! You look so pretty in your wedding dress! I can't believe you made it yourself. That's talent. Your boys are so cute. Hope you are having a good day!

Ahhhh thanks you guys *blush* :D I was much in need of that today. WIth hubby home its rough. Not necessarily a bad day so much as I am disappointed with myself for letting him, unintentionally, change the routine I have gotten into. My routine is set so that I can squeeze every possible second out of my day and get everything done and having him here just puts it waaaay of kilter :( Oh well, tomorrow is another day and I hope he won't be home. Isn't that awful??!!

NewLeaf, this client is..... how can I put it delicately??..... um, well, she's the poster child for birth control! LOL Her mother thought they said "burp" intead of "birth"! Her parents tried to give her away but they couldn't pay anybody enough! Okay, I think you get how I feel about her :p :D The boys CAN be a handful but they are also double the fun, hugs and kisses ;) As hard as it started out, I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Well, Beagle, it was ALMOST as satisfying as telling her face to face would have been! LOL Unfortunately, I tend to swear A LOT when I am mad like that and then I get so mad I cry and then I get madder b/c I cried and then I cry harder, etc. A vicious cycle that really sucks when its face to face. Although, I have tried the "kill them with kindness" route and thats even more satisfying! LOL You should see the looks on their face when you say "have a nice day!" with a smile in your voice or "May God bless you and yours" with a smile when you really mean "rot in hell you viscious B*%#h!". LOL

MissJ, hello again. I will have to stop by "your place" later. I made the wedding dress with my mothers as inspiration. I loved her dress and really wanted to wear it and this is as close as I could get. I couldn't find a brow band i liked so I made one :D Weren't the boys cute. Too bad they grew up! KIDDING!!!

Korrie, Thanks :D I know I can get that .8 off and more - as long as hubby isn't home all week!! LOL

Kate, stop! You'll make me blush again!!! LOL That day is one of the few I didn't run from the camera. I actually really like my dress and the way sis did my hair.... Now if only We could get remarried when I am a MUCH smaller size.... oh, well, I can dream :D hehehehe

Well, gotta run. The boys get done with tutoring in 20 minutes and I have to pick them up at the school. Will be back later tonight - of course :D

Hehe, here is to hoping your hubby is off to work tomorrow! :D I now its hard ot have your normal routine disrupted when they stay home! My FH just stands around when he's home and I'm cleaning, like "uh what do I do.." oy! Ya could help ya doof to begin with.. is usually my response! ;)

LOL I am sooo glad I ain't alone!!! hehehe It isn't so much that he just stands there, though as he gets bored. When he gets bored, he gets irritable. He just walked out on the only client we have right now so he's also irritable b/c of that. He'll find work - he always does, oh, well.

Okay, so today didn't go so well. Well, I stayed under my calories but my food choices didnt' really satisfy me - except my dinner :D I didn't get in my exercise and I only drank half of my water. I've been in kind of a "blah" mood all day - not even sure why other than disruption of routine. Something to ponder..... Hubby bought a golf game for the PS2. It was really frustrating at first, but then we got the hang of it. It's fun. I lilke it. SOME people are sore losers though :D

Okay. the rest of my foodie things for today....

Blueberry muffin

Chicken and veggie casserole
skim milk
PB cookie

Nice, rare juicey steak MMMMM I don't eat red meat often but when I do, I like it to moooooooo

Total calories for today: 1013
exercise for today - none

water today - 32 oz

Tomorrow HAS to improve!!!! Will be back tomorrow. :)

OH my!! Your boys are so cute!! I've got a couple of cute girls over here - are arranged marriages still in fashion??
