Hi, Mommyof2, I'm honored
hehehehe I found that quote a few years ago and have kept it where I can see it every day. It helps on those sucky days.
Okay, it's bad toadie/ good toadie time......
BAD TOADIE..... Hubby took me to dinner last night - a spur of the moment thing... We went to my favorite greek restaurant ( I am a sucker for greek food) in New York. After a ferry ride and a short drive we found our way to a parking space..... I THOUGHT I was being good - greek salad that I didn't eat all of as it was covered in a heavy oily dressing, a gryo "plate" that I had the waitress replace fries with mashed potatoes (couldn't have the rice as I am allergic to onions), and had a decaf tea instead of a soda.... Yeah, THOUGHT I was being good, until I saw that they DROWNED the potatoes in butter b/c I forgot to tell them no butter, and when i got half way through my meat I saw the oil puddle under it on my plate
Did I stop eating the meat and skip the potatoes??? NO!!!
I kept on eatin' till it was gone!!! I was soooo mad at me, HOWEVER I didn't obsess about it. I will just exercise more this weekend instead of take the weekend off.
GOOD TOADIE..... hehehe Hubby wanted to go down the road to the shopping plaza and hit afew stores there. We went into Sam's Club, shopped around for about an hour then went to check out. Yut, well, my new debit card didn't work b/c "bad pin" .... Well, i had to RUN out to the van that was parked at the very END of that huge parking lot - and RUN I did ( I hate holding things up). I realized two things as I RAN BACK - 1) I wasn't even winded when before I had all i could do to WALK that distance without practically needing my inhaler
2) I wanted to KEEP running!! It felt great!!
We walked back to the van and hubby wanted to go to wally-mart. "We're parked quite a ways away, do you want to walk or drive over?" hmmmm DUH!! We walked ( I challenged him to a run over but he couldn't do that and suck down his precious ciggy too
). Walked around there for an hour before going to Staples... Now, that is the last store in the plaza and we are parked as far away as you can get in that huge parking lot.... Hehehhe...Hubby wanted me to go get the van and pick him up and I wasn't even tired yet!! LOL What a wussy!! I made him walk - told him it was to make up for his ciggy
I know none of that made up for dinner, but I sure felt better about it all.
Okay, got to get hubby after work (more about yesterday later
)..... the saga continues...
