Lol, I haven't talked smack over there yet, BUT I WILL, hehehe. Anyway, I've done great all week but this weekend with superbowl and all has been pretty "free". I know I'll still be down a fair amount come Tuesday but I'm not gonna weigh until then. Take care and I'll go "over there" in a while to talk some smack. Cya, Greg

Right on, right on. Try not to eat too many cheetos. I mean, someone has to give me a run for my money. All these slackers running around in hyaw... Haha. :D

That's either a really inventive excuse or... the truth.

Hehe, just kidding. Hope you have a speedy recovery. :)

So, we have to weigh and do measurements every other week? Or, do we just weigh every other week then do measurements at the end. It doesn't matter to me either way, just thought I'd get clarification before tomorrow. Cya in the morning, Greg

So, we have to weigh and do measurements every other week?

Yep. That's what Sean wrote originally. I'm just gonna update every week (editing into my thread on the other forums) for my own sake. Hoping for some positive numbers on my measurements tomorrow. :)

I was thinking about entering, but I don't think it would be fair. I'm at 11% body fat and I can already see most of the cuts, even abs.

Why not? It's not best after pic, it's best transformation. ;)

If anything, that should make it much harder for you to win, shouldn't it?

Week 1 update:

Goal Weight 200 lbs
Current Weight 233

Waist 39, down 1/2 inch

Chest 47, down 1 inch

Stomach 41, down 1 inch

Legs 26 1/2, down 1 inch

Hips 44, down 1/2 inch

Arms 16 1/2, same

Looks like things are headed in the right direction. I'm still holding on to some weight from the weekend, my fault, it won't happen again. It's not worth having to spend 1/2 the next week taking off weight I've already lost. So, lesson learned. See ya in 2 weeks. Greg

I thought I made it pretty obvious I wasn't serious. Bebakhshid. As I said, hope everything's right again soon. :)

Post your diet and exercise routine.
Are you currently eating in a deficit?

Though it's certainly a good idea (in another thread, I'd say), and there may be room for improvement there, also keep in mind that your weight is just a number that can be affected by a number of different factors. Inches, how you feel, how your clothes fit, and body fat measurements, these are all at least as important, if not much more so.

I've been eating at a certain, large deficit all week and I managed to gain weight. I'm waiting on measuring my inches to update my contest entry post, and hoping for the best. But, like you Aiming (and right on, btw), I won't be giving up. ;)

Neither of you are allowed to give up! We are going to do this as a team and succeed in the end. Aiming, let us know what you are eating, how much, how you are training etc. Track everything. It will become almost an obsession and you will succeed. Take care and post what you are doing. Cya, Greg

My Diet: Not much improvement, (not to make this sound like an excuse) mainly because I always seem to wake up with a sore throat and am really tired throughout the day(No this is not an everyday thing, it was just this week...). This ties in with diet because when I am sick/feeling sick, I never feel like eating clean, because it would taste like mush.(I'm still not acquainted with nor craving healthy foods yet...) When I say I do not enjoy eating "healthy" foods, I'm basically eating the typical cereal in the morning, a small bag of chips for lunch, and whatever is made for dinner at my house. I'm feeling good today, and I ate pretty healthy, so I'm getting back on track, as I should.
My Exercise: Same issue, when sick/feeling tired, never feel like doing anything. I'm starting to sound like too much of a whiner :(
I just want to recap with the fact that I am no longer going to slack, which means sick or not, I will still stick to my diet/exercise. I am actually getting tired of sitting, being lazy, and not eating right on top of it. I gotta look good for the beach ;) Its full throttle now :)

Keep it up Aiming. Like your signature says, Fall down 7 times, get up 8. That's what it's all about. Heck, I'm a dietitian and I still allowed myself to get way overweight and out of shape. I have all the knowledge I need but I just haven't consistently put it into action until now.

My secret to success this go round: FITDAY and measurements.

Fitday has allowed me to know at all times where I am with my diet, what I've eaten for the day and how much leeway I have for the rest of the day. It also has a section for exercise and weight tracking.

Measurements: I actually just started with these but can see what a value they are going to be. Just like FOCUS said, it's not all about the weight. Your body composition is likely going to change so your measurements will likely tell more than your weight change.

Make the commitment to do these 2 things, at least until the next weigh in. I think you will be surprised at how much more "in touch" you'll be which will lead to your success. Feel free to PM me with questions or anything else. You're in this for the long run and we're running with you. Come on, let's get this thing going. Take care, Greg

Bit of Confusion

So, I didn't realize that Sean posted my sign up in this forum as well! Thanks Focus! I read your post in the WL forum and was kind of thinking....what is going on, cause I only thought the sign up was in WL. Now I'm not sure where to post my stuff! Maybe I'll do both......but Sean should be monitoring the contest on here a little better:p

Prizes will go anywhere......so if you are outside the US, you will still get them, or at least cash value for them. Anyone is welcome to enter. You can still enter by today if you wish. I will post a list of all entrants in this forum as well at the end of the day to finalize the entrants.

Good luck to all!
