when doing measurements, does stomach mean the same thing as waist? I'm not quite sure how/where to measure my stomach.

Measure at your natural waist, which is approximately 2" above your hip bone. This pretty much equates to the horizontal plane on which your belly button lies. I suggest this because it is probably the area of your core with the greatest circumference, measuring as it does the middle of your waist and love handles. It should most closely/accurately reflect any changes.

That is pretty much where I measured my stomach for this contest - but I have always thought of my waist as being a different place than that - i.e. where my sides pinch in to the narrowest! It is lucky that the form did not have a measurement saying waist or I would have got it wrong!

I edited my measurements, i decided to do them today and make sure I hadn't changed, and I did!
I also took my before pictures tonight, i'll post them later, or pm them, whichever.

hi, glad to have you aboard :) I"m confused as to why you have your actual weight loss posted already. That is reserved for the weight you have actually lost by the end of the challenge.
 
I'm new and I'm in!

Hello everyone. I was looking around for some sort of contest like this one, so I decided to sign up! I'm also new to the forum, so I'm still feeling my way around. Please let me know if I'm doing anything wrong :)

I know I'm getting close to the wire to sign up, but I suppose that just gives me a disadvantage in time to get to my goal, so I hope no one minds :) I'll post pictures and measurments tonight (I'm at work, and I don't suppose people would appreciate me cracking out a camera and measuring tape in the middle of the office :) )

I can't remember if I wore shoes or not, without shoes it's 3 lbs, with shoes its 1 lb. Anyways, I should get going, gotta eat as much as I can before Lent begins :cheers2:
