bluehats diary

My diabetes meds. are an insulin twice a day
Which needs food with each one.
Recently began ozempic.
With the hopes of reducing the amount
Of insulin. Which did happen.
It also helps that ravenous hunger the
Insulin causes. For me anyway.

Is ozempic the drug rich people are currently using for weightloss, driving the price way up for people who actually need it?

Yes.
And im very lucky I have it covered
Under my drug plan.
It's helping my blood sugar too
As evidenced by the lower amount
Of insulin I need.

Goals- same

Foods- the last of the macaroni tomato soup
Sugar free yogurt (nearly gone then watch
For another sale)

Exercise - none just too sore and tired

Weight- 260

Well I'm now at 40 pounds lost since
I got to the 300 lb. mark.
I don't really feel better tho.
All the things I read, get told, and understand
About feeling better, being healthier with
weight loss so far isn't panning out.
I guess in my feet but that's about it.
Still just as tired, maybe even more sore.
It's very hard to keep on.
Maybe it's too late for this to make
The difference needed.
Age and all etc.

Given how much your feet hurt last summer any improvement there would be a win. Also: congratulations on 40 pounds lost! Just a couple of months ago you were mosty convinced it was impossible for you to lose weight. I agree that weightloss can be a slow and frustrating process though, and sometimes it feels like it takes forever for no progress at all.

At this point in time I can only
attribute 10 pounds lost to
Ozempic.
The rest was from teeth pain
and surgery.
But still it's ok.
I guess.
Thank goodness I was only trying to lose
to be healthy.
I just expected to feel better.
My feet do though.
Now if I can fix the leg pain.

Going out to the food bank today.
So no idea about how my day will
be for exercise or what I eat yet.
If I'm not too tired I may post
whatever I eat or exercise.
Happy day everyone.

Goals- same

Foods- the egg salad off of a sandwich
2 cookies
Pea and vegetable soup
Leftover sugar free yogurt

Exercise - none

Weight - didn't do

Hoping to make a kd soup from the box
of kd to stretch it out.
Just wondering what can I use
for/instead of the condensed cheddar cheese soup
the recipe calls for?

I'm in the same boat, blue. I tried googling them but was none the wiser. I would think you can add any grated cheese to add protein, but then I never add cheese to soup.

Kd is boxed macaroni and cheese.
Has uncooked macaroni/elbow noodles
and a pk of dry cheese powder mix in it.
Kd is a name brand- Kraft dinner.

I found recipes on how to make soup
from a box but most call for condensed
cheddar cheese soup. That's a soup that
needs water added. It doesn't taste good alone
tho.
If I made a soup from a box it will
spread further.
Maybe some water and a little real cheese?

Today's food has to be mashed bananas
stirred in smooth peanut butter.
And the last of the sugar free yogurt.

Ahhh, Kraft dinner! Sorry, that's just not something peolle eat here so while I've heard of it kd didn't ring a bell. Real cheese (and onion) soup is delicious but I've never had powdered. My best guess for an alternative would be to use a stock cube and some melty cheese. Something like velveeta would probably work.

Very very sore legs

And very disappointed
Because I didn't exercise
For sooo long
Idk what else to do

Walkings out
Swimming's out

It's disheartening
