2 cups homemade soup
1 cup size nutritional drink

2 cups of the same soup
(The recipe made 8 cups so I divided it into 4 servings of 2 cups)
1 cup nutritional drink

Likely have another nutritional drink tonight.

Getting too hard to fight off the meds. caused hunger. I lost my recent weight while not on it.
So I've decided it's not worth taking it and maybe regaining weight.
I have already developed a few complications anyway. So it didn't help with that. (One of my 2 insulins).

One thing I try not to do is mess with my meds. I have reduced one of them in consultation with my cardio as it lowered my BP too much & I was getting dizzy. Can you discuss this with a doctor or a diabetes hotline?

I'm so afraid to keep being so hungry.
I never thought I could lose weight again.
And I feel this is my last chance.
I've never kept it off.
I'm already regaining it.

I have told my endocrinologist and my pharmacist. No one's listening.
:(

I don't mean to say that people here aren't listening.
It's just that I've talked to my endo. Dr and even told him I do better on a premix insulin but since it's not one of the 'newer ' ones I have to use the newer ones. I don't see why. In addition to that they demand frequent lab tests which with every trip there means 1 whole complete day with no food. And to top it off I have 2 needle tips a day which works out perfectly with a premix twice a day insulin.and that insulin doesn't cause the excess hunger for me. The 'newer' ones require multiple injections. Which means reusing the needles which hurts! Plus isn't taking an older insulin better than not taking the 'newer' ones I'm prescribed?
I guess I have to talk him again? In my July phone appt?
Sorry if this is off topic.

My brother has a life long illness that can really impact the quality of his life. Getting his medication was getting difficult, lots of coordination between the lab that does his blood work, his doctor and the pharmacy is required. It was beyond frustrating that nothing was working and no one seemed to realize and or care about the impact to by brother. My mom was getting totally stressed out, but finally was able to find another doctor with an in-house lab. I know your situation is not the same, but I wanted to let you know you are not alone with this kind of problem. It can be scary and very frustrating, I do hope your doctor listens to you when you speak to him in July! :grouphug:

Nothing here is off-topic, Blue. I would definitely talk to him again about it.

Possibly. Mine doesn't like it at all when I binge but then my stomach doesn't like a lot of things. I hope you feel better soon.

I truly don't understand something. Why don't I feel better having lost more than 50 pounds? In fact why do some things feel worse and none better? Ok yes maybe it will take more but shouldn't something have been improved? Shouldn't I feel better a little?

I looked up the bmi charts and for my height I'm supposed to weigh 135 at the highest!!!
Seriously like in what world? I was 14, thin, active and weighed 140 lbs. And began gaining with 4 plus hours a day of exercise and it wasn't muscle. And later in life still highly active started maintaining at near 160.
How can all this be?
Can anyone fault me for believing any of this hype?
The bmi, the o u will improve your health if u lose as little as 10 percent.
OK I'm still waiting. I'm here come and improve things for me body.
It's such a farce.

BMI is nonsense, Blue. Just ignore all the noise & do what you can. I hope you start to feel the benefits of losing that 50 lbs soon & that life gets better for you :grouphug:

The worst thing about the bloating is that it makes me feel very very fat. And when you know you need a drink cause your thirsty but you just can't hold any liquid.

That's when you really need to get that liquid into you, Blue. Don't get dehydrated xo
