Weight-Loss
Hello girls and a boy,

I am back. Once again thanks everyone for your support. I don't think I will be able to get the 20 points bonus. I tried to recall what and how much I ate in France but I am not really sure, hehe... Also I couldn't find some of the things I ate on sparkpeople and fitday. Anyway, I am not sorry as I am here in the very last week and I feel a winner already. I also will observe my own 1000 calorie range parallel with you for the rest of the week. I will also push myself hard to get 300 min of sport this week. The harsh truth though is that I am 6.8 pounds heavier! I think most of it will be gone till the end of the week but a loss would be in a dreamland.

Keep strong in the last week :) :hurray:

Wulsk - You are right - everyone still in the contest has every right to consider themselves a winner. The proof that you are a winner lies in the photographs that you shared with us. The main thing is that you had a wonderful time on your romantic trip to celebrate St Valentine's Day. Do not worry about those extra pounds. I would not be surprised if they are disappearing daily. Many people on this forum put on splurge pounds over Christmas and they disappeared very quickly. I am sure that many will be gone by Friday. Many of us have had weeks where we have gained during this challenge. Do not worry unduly if this happens to you. Anything not gone by Friday will be gone a few days later.

Thanks to Bikini Bound for doing this challenge!
Bloody brilliant!
Good luck to everyone else!
Red girls kick some arse!
haha!!

Hi all! Just got back from my trip to vegas :). I did write down everything I ate while I was there, so I have cal counts for that. Can I still join this week's bonus since I know my numbers? I guess it doesn't matter b/c I will play along anyway and it doesn't look like I'll be winning :). I even managed to go to the gym twice while I was there which I was proud of! Hope everyone's doing well this week and taking off more pounds!

Morning everyone!

Just wanted to stop back to say goodbye and good luck to the remaining players.

You guys have been very encouraging - and this contest really helped me stay focused...thank you Bikini Bound - it was so much fun!

Take care!
:waving:

Bella, to answer your question--I would love it if everyone would post in their stats what their caloric goal is. I have already done this, so if anyone wants an example, just check out my stats on the first page. I also plan to list my daily calories there as well.

Sorry this took me so long to respond to. But with working on the weekends I just don't have the time to hit every thread and respond like I would want to.
I am going to aim for 11,900-12,000 cals for the week. That averages out to be just about 1700-1710/15 cals a day. I normally would go between 1600-1650 so that will give me a cushion to hold onto for unexpected outings.

Good luck meeting that May weight loss goal, Bella! I know you can do it! :hurray: I'm sure your MIL will be shocked to see how much you've shrunk. Do you get along with her?

I can't wait to see my MIL face! In fact I am banking on her wanting to take me shopping. The woman lives to shop and had made comments in the past (not harshly) about how something would look good on me only to find that it never cam in my size.

To answer your ? about if we get along or not. I think that we do. But at the same time I only have ever had to deal with her for no more than 3 weeks at a time. In my own house mind you. So I think that we will all get along splendidly.

Hello everyone :hurray:

Margaret, thank you for your words. :iagree: This is exactly what I believe to be the right approach but it is always so much more reassuaring to hear it from someone else. :)

Pinketnies, I also think it was a bloody, bloody good challenge. I basically need one more to reach my goal. :blush5: I hope there will be one but I wouldn't think it is fair to expect it from Bikini as it requiers so much work.

Keepitoff83, I can only admire you that you managed to write down everything you had on your holiday. I am so much opposite - really strict but when I am on holiday I let it go and become careless. And as for the gym - wow!!! I can't imagine myself doing this on holiday. But who knows... I never imagined that I can exercise at all! I don't see a problem to get the 20 points. I think Bikini would confirm it too.

Missblonde, you are lovely, beautiful girl! Stick to the challenges and you will be skinny in no time. I promise it!

Bellaryna, I hope you will get some nice compliments for your weight loss. However don't get too disappointed if it doesn't happen. I have met quite a lot people who saw me at my largest and didn't say a word about my weight now. People sometimes don't notice such things and sometimes are even jealouse.

I am doing fine. I have my personal calorie range of 7000-7715 cal for 5 days. It's quite reasonable and I don't feel it so difficult but I do struggle to fit 300 min sport in 5 days.

Well I just logged in my weight for today as my final. I'm off to Las Vegas!
Good luck everyone on your final weigh-ins!

Hey is it part of our challenge to visit Vegas? Hehe!

Have a splashing good time MidGaGuy!

I am doing very well but I am noticing that my calories on a typical day are very low. I think that my good results are based on a slight undernourishment. I have to be very careful with this as it may lead to future problems. However it is SO difficult to put up calories when it reflects on the scales immediately. I always gain weight when I raise my calories. Anyway, I should not eat less than 1400 calories even if it means I will be forever chubby. :troll:

Bella--I'm glad your MIL is cool. That's always nice. :)

I can't believe there are only 2 days left of the challenge! It has gone by pretty quickly.

I'm glad so many of you have really enjoyed it and found it useful. I will be doing another one in early March, and I hope to see you there. This one will start March 7th, and will be modeled after the show the Amazing Race. For those of you outside the U.S. who haven't heard of it, it's a show where teams race around the world, and have to race against each other to get tasks done. If you google the show, you can find out more about it. The teams will have 3 members each, and each week one or more teams (the entire team) may be eliminated. There will be 2 non-elimination weeks, but no one will know (not even me) until the end of that week. The team will work together to get exercise pts and some bonuses will require the entire team to complete it, or just one team member. It should be a lot of fun. Oh, and we're going to make our own teams--they won't be random this time. I'm doing this so that you won't be eliminated due to some newbie signing up and then disappearing. So think carefully when choosing your teammates. It's best to get someone who's either really strong in something you're not, or well-rounded. The team with the most weight loss each week will be safe from elimination regardless of their pts.

I'll post a lot more info and a sign up thread about a week before the challenge starts. I just wanted to give you a heads up. :)

I'm loving the Amazing Race idea!
Hey Margaret and Kimberly what do I have to give you guys for you to be on my team!!!!! LOL :smilielol5:

With my famously skewed weightloss (which is also deep into a project and slower than it was) and total aversion to calorie counting - not to mention raisin and honey shreddies addiction - anyone is brave!
