Weight-Loss
Today is my birthday so I am only having a small peice of cake, but I am glad it fell before this challenge got started. I personally can not celebrate my birthday without cake:party:

Good luck everyone!

Happy birthday sweetie! I'm so glad for you, that would be a disappointing birthday to have no cake!

How could ANYONE think rice cakes are junk/yummy snack food! Yuckers :D

They really aren't amazing... they curb my cravings to munch though. I have caramel flavored ones. they aren't bad.

I didn't think they were junk...but I didn't think baked crackers were either. lol

Happy birthday, fat2fit!

Woweee sounds like a tough one this week, but we can do it!
I'll miss my cereal bars, so I will....

How about yoghurts? Fruit yoghurts are ok, right?? They're a staple in my diet!!!!

Good luck tomorrow, girls!

I'm very excited for this challenge to start. I haven't eaten sweets all day... just to get myself used to the idea. No single bites or anything! This will be sort of tough... but we can do this!!!!

HOney, I'm sucking down my last Mike's Hard Cranberry Lemonade as I type! haha. I'm also finishing off the last of my peanut butter cups tonight. :drool5:

It's only one week--I think we can handle it. :D :nopity::nopity:

Yogurt is not junk food. I can't believe anyone would even think that. :smilielol5:

Happy Birthday Fat2fit! I'm glad mine doesn't arrive until this challenge is over. :D

I know, I know. I'm a big meanie, but I warned you all that this challenge wouldn't be for the faint of heart. :biggrinjester:

I am glad yogurts are not considered junk food. I only asked because nowadays they are full of sugar, additives and preservatives despite being low in fat.

Did we mention anything about coffee? It's my first morning and I will have a tea just in case coffee is considered junk. Good luck everyone.

I think you may have mentioned this before, sorry, but I'll write it down this time:p
How long will this challenge run?

Pssstttt....you weren't supposed to mention the coffee!

Actually, I think it's been said to avoid those super-calorific Starbucks type coffees but normal coffee is okay. All this talk about what's okay is making me paranoid! I'm questioning every bite!

Well I was just thinking about black coffee with no sugar or other extras - simply instant coffee, espresso coffee... baciscally just the coffee. :troll:

BB correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the point of this no-snack bonus is to avoid anything that is mostly junk and sugar or fat with little, if any, nutritional value. For example, the yogurts I like have 18 grams of sugar, but they also have 5 grams of protein and lots of calcium and other nutrients, so sure, if I was some crazy strict vegan or naturalist or similar then I should be eating something with NO added sugar, but for normal folks I would think that's a decently healthy snack.

I think the challenge was not to never have a snack, but more to avoid snacks that are largely void of any nutritional value or are way too high in calories for what you're getting out of it in return nutritionally.

On that note I can't imagine how black coffee could be considered a junky snack (coffee actually has some good healing properties if taken in moderation).

Can't believe no alcohol!
I don't drink during the week but at the weekends I like a pint of cider or 2!
Only one weekend though!
ughhhhhhhh!
No Chocolate, no cider, no biscuits! Whats the world coming too!
