Weight-Loss Biggest Loser Show Watch along Challenge Starting 01/19/10

When you think about it, our club has already lost enough weight to account for a WHOLE PERSON! IN THREE WEEKS! Thats crazy! :hurray:


And yea, at my weight peak I was pretty good about stablity because when I fell down, phew, it wasn't pretty LOL! :biggrinjester:

I have thought about the fact that we have all lost a person in fat! That is crazy!!!

I'm also very happy as well that we have a great group of folks participating here. I took a peak at the other biggest loser challenge that ended up falling apart and saw a whole lot of bickering going on in there. It's sad really when people get like that. That's the whole reason I made this challenge real easy, just lose that fat!!! That is all, no extra pressure to do additional weekly challenges...since everyone is at different levels of fitness and the like. And my hunch was right, it's paying off and everyone is doing amazing!! I love it! The numbers don't lie!!

The cool thing too about this challenge is that we are all watching the show, or at least another season of it for the foreigners. So that is so inspiring... and then for me to come here and see everyone dropping crazy numbers... it's motivating me even more.

We might end up losing two people by the time this challenge is over, that would be so amazing!!
 
I hope that when this challenge is over we can start another one that's similar! Nothing too complicated, just losing the fat like you said! It helps to be accountable and it's definitely great for support.

I agree with Risty. I would like another challenge like this when this one is over. It helps me focus and keeps me motivated - let's face it we all have a bit of competitiveness inside of us - so with this it spurrs me on to stick to the diet and do the exercise even if I'm exhausted after work!

Season 2 of Biggest Loser UK started on Sunday here in SA!!

All the teams are really doing so fantastic!! Well done!!!

We can always keep this challenge going into the next season!!! If you all want, we can add more teams next season, or keep things the same. We can also switch up teams too if anyone wants, or keep teams the same if they want. I'll wait till later in the season, and see what you all think.


I already have the excel spreadsheet doing all the math, so it would be really easy to keep it going. I dont mind keep this going into Summer, I need it!

I love the simplicity of this challenge as well and the competition.

I will definately admit: Have NOT been as good as I normally am. I'm just gonna say I had a week of "da funk" and starting tonight, get my butt back into gear! Im fairly certain I'll stay the same this week, but I wanna make next week count fershur.

Watched this weeks BL finally! Wooo! Half the red gone. Yeah baby. Although, I honestly DID feel a little bad for her... mostly cuz this time there didn't seem to be any game play at all. Oh welllll, karmas a bitch ;)

I love this challenge too - it really keeps me accountable and Biggest Loser rocks! Those of us in UK are about to find out who won season 7. Can't wait!

I'm probably going to jinx myself by saying this but I'll have a loss this week. Won't guess how much it'll be but it'll hopefully be a significant one.

My last chance workout today:

1 hr cardio/toning class (30min each)
1 hr PT (probably mostly strength, I can do cardio on my own)

We'll see how it goes! See you all tomorrow!!

I think she threw the weigh-in again. I think she was ready to go home, and figured that the only way to "redeem" herself and make Bob and Jillian look wrong for accusing her of lying is to make it happen again when she would be sent home. She knew she couldn't win because she didn't have far enough to go, so she chose to leave now to be with her kids and to redeem herself. Her whole emotional outburst at the end just seemed so incredibly fake to me.

Maybe it's just me though, I obviously can't know if that is for sure what she was doing or what her intentions were.

Glad she's outta there, nonetheless!

Addie, I agree with you, I think she threw the weigh in as well. I think she wants her reputation to be intact. However, I just to buy it.

I do not want to weigh myself tomorrow, AH! I've had a couple meals I shouldn't have and with my luck that'll ruin all the hard work I've put in throughout the whole week!

I'm down to 144 this week. That's two lbs lost for the Brown Team, and also means I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Wahoo!

Way to go, Isabel! You're at your prepregnancy weight! That's great news and I'm sure you'll be happy to wear your old clothes again or even buy some new ones!

I have been doing a lot of reading about Vitamin D deficiency (and Calcium deficiency) and obesity. I'm going to start taking 1000ul of Vitamin D and the maximum amount of calcium.

So dissapointed... Between valentines candy from friends and family and my kids at the school abd going out to eat several times this week.... It wasnt a good week!! But I WILL do great this week!

I got candy at our church annual valentines day dinner " In honor of mine and lilbrats mother. We do it every year. I gave the candy to one of the kids I knew if I kept it I WOULD eat it. I worked hard this week and ate right but didn't show it on the scales. I only lost 3 pounds this week. Bummer!!! I told my sister that every week I lose less and less but I keep on keeping on.
