Hello fellow team mates

:jump: How is everyone doing this week. I am keeping step, went over my target everyday so far. I am hoping to keep that up.

In referance to the bonus challenge: I am going to try Pilates, I have never tried that. As for the fruit, I am going to walk across the street at lunch to the fruit/health store and buy an item I had never tried before. Not even sure what that may be, I will let you know. I was thinking maybe a star fruit, I have heard of them before but never even seen them. I have not learned anything as of yet but we still have a few days.

star fruit are pretty tasty - they're like a citrus fruit without the seeds...

I hunted high and low for a vegetable or fruit that I hadn't tried yet and cam eup with nothing...

the steps I'm still kicking butt on :D
 
Hi guys,
I just logged in the remainder of my last weeks activity. I was short two days but made up for it over the weekend. This week I upped my goal a little - from 1 mile to 1.5 miles. I'm going to do the write-everything-you-eat-for-three-days bonus. It's the one I want to do the least, and the one that will probably help me the most, so I'm going for it.
 
if you use a program like it will help you tremendously - it also will give you a breakdown of various nutrients, like fiber and sodium, which I find to be educational and helpful...

Star fruit sounds good, now I must see if they have one.

Good luck on finding the new fruit. I could not think of nay new ones, I will look around the store and send some ideas across, maybe one will be a new one for you.
 
the last new fruits i tried were the hybrids the pluots which is a cross between a plum and an apricot which wre incredibly good and the grapple which was a cross between a grape and apple whcih were disgusting (they'd be good if you like the smell of grape popsciles - i personally do not ) they just need to invent more fruit for me :D

The health food store only had reguar fruit, just organic.
apples, peaches and the like nothing that I never had before. Oh well, I will keep looking around for the something new.

Grapple and pluots....now I never saw them anywhere b4.

Okay, I logged every day last week and just input my Sunday to start this week. I've upped my steps per day again, but I'm committed to making them.

My fruit was Durian......originally Indonesian. I've never tried this fruit because it smells so bad you can't get near it. Really, truly, it smells like an outhouse. But this week I had a slice and was amazed to find that this is the most bland tasting thing I can imagine.

My new exercise was "4 limb fitness" which I think was some kind of knock-off video here. Objective is to work all 4 limbs at the same time. So I was doing a lunge while also doing bicep curls. I can see that this was be a very efficient way to exercise. However, I am not prepared for this. I truly fell on my butt doing one of the exercises and have a big bruise to show for it. I was also very, very sore from the workout. This is shelved for at least 6 more months, and maybe forever!

WOW the 4 limb workout sounds interesting. I'd be worried that I wasn't doing each exercise right. I've been told that you should focus on each movement to make sure you are doing it right & I'm not together enough to try to focus on two things at once! :) Good for you for trying that one.. I still would like to try my hand at this motionless exercise stuff I keep hearing about.

They can be any number from 2 to 10 and if you want to create your own, just say so and recruit your buddies! It'd be great to get the majority of teams together before the actual start of the contest.

I just logged in my activity. I did the bonus but didn't log it in in time. Oh well, live and learn - it was still a great exercise for me. I not only wrote down everything I ate for three weeks, I logged it all in to fitday to check my calories & nutrition. Good job everybody!
 
On the cross country route, we're almost in Utah - cooking right along there ladies :)

How's everyone doing?

New bonus challenge this week. Since we just got the leftovers of Barry, I have already done the challenge! lol You'll see what I mean when you read about it.

this weeks' bonus seems sort of silly for a city dweller but ok - I've kinda got it covered :)
 
I've got the challenge covered too, but it's a strange one. Not sure how this really contributes to "WOMAN ON THE MOVE" objective, but whatever. I did not up my steps this week. Maybe should have done so, but twice last week I was struggling just to get on the elliptical and hit the baseline number. If work goes better this week, I'll up my own number (even if only in my head) to keep pushing forward.

KEEP GOING! I mean, how long can we stay in Utah? It isn't ski season!

I agree. At first I just looked at it & thought... WHY?
 
Hello everyone.

I just updated my numbers, I had a bad time the last few days of last week. Just glad it is over. This is a strange bonus challenge. I will apologize in advance if I do not get it done.

I do like this challenge. I have logged every day myself, and fitday is just great. Thanks to this site, the challenge and you guys :)

we had one more drop off this week but I h ave faith that the rest of us will finish this challenge strong. we've got 4 team points and ont he cross country trip are well into Utah by now... we're gonna make it :)

this week has been a serious struggle to get those steps in - not sure if it's my motivation waning, the temperature, or my general tired crankiness... but we're getting it done...
