Lets keep moving

yes, I do like the challange. I have been logging everyday. I only put down 7000 steps a day as goal..I figured I can hit this without too much effort. Well yesterday I did not hit it :( (very slow sit down kinda day at work..especially for a techie) :drooling:

It does make one want to try to get the target though, I was really short yesterday but knowing I had to log and get at least to the 90%, my son had little league so I walked around the field/park where the game was. I brought up my steps to almost my target so I was happy.

how is everyone else doing?

i set my target intentionally low only because i know ill want to raise it in coming weeks but every day i've exceeded my target :)

cant wait for the bonus challenge :) i've been checking that every day.. nothig has been posted yet :)

and can't wait to see if we move along the path

Its the final day of the first week... just wanted to make sure we are all entering our times/steps in.

Good luck... can't wait to see that lil thing move across our trail!

I've gone in and updated all my information for the week. I see now that this will really need to be done on a daily basis. I couldn't do this week because of travel but will post daily going forward.

Agree with everyone.....a few days I was really not in the mood, but since I had committed to 7,500 steps a day my responsibility was to do it. I like this accountability!

we made it to nevada :)

a few folks didn't record anything so we'll give them to the end of the week then they go :)

Ooh the bonuses ar good :)

1. Try a new type of exercise this week. It can be anything that gets you moving and breathing - go ahead and be creative!

What did you try?

2. Taste a fruit or vegetable that you've never tried before!

What did you taste?

3. Learn something new about women's health by visiting or , talking to your healthcare provider, or visiting the library.

What did you learn?

4. Keep a journal of everything you've eaten for 3 days this week - this will help you learn more about your eating habits and highlight areas to work on.

I finished week 1 too.
I upped my steps to 11000 as I have been walking quite a bit.
I tried jogging this morning for the bonus. I only jogged a bit but will try more this week.

good luck everyone.

I'm impressed with the bonuses. Wonder if we can log them in one at a time or if they have to be done at one time to count.

Didn't even know we could kick people off the team!?! I was just thinking how it will suck if someone flaked on us & the rest of us are working so hard just to be held back by one person. Sounds like a plan, you are inactive for a week you get the boot. I know if I flake I would want you all to kick my tush! :)

Sorry guys. I had forgotten that I was on the road for 6 hours last Sunday, and I didn't get that much walking in that day. I hope I didn't sabotage the team. I'll remove myself if you want. =(

Here's to a new week with more steps. =)

the objective is 90 percent of your goal :) just set your goal reasonable and you'r good :) the only people who might get booted are those who've recorded no mileage -if you're making an effort then you're staying :) we'll just drag you along with us.. we're not all going to have great weeks.. it's the attempt that counts :D

sorry guys my internet was out for the past weekend so i wasnt able to record for the week so i went ahead and took myself out. i didnt want to hurt the team because bellsouth sucks. I'm sorry guys! i wish you all the best of luck and i know you all can reach your goals!

Stacey

you didn't have to do that - the only people I was concerned about were those who recorded nothing but then i realized we have no way of knowing that -if you're sticking around - stick with the challenge - we really don't care if we win or not :) its supposed to motivate us to move and have some fun too

Well, I didn't know that the 90% is a 'weekly' average, so I actually made my average last week and had 2pts.

So far today, I have exceeded my goal steps by 3100 and I'm sure I'm not done for the night. I had to walk all over campus today, and unfortunately, these 2 classes I'm taking is going to be an assload of work! Makes me wonder how I'm going to get it all completed.

=(

you can always lower your goal.. :)
