Weight-Loss ACCOUNTABILITY THREAD - The Purple Team Thread

Weight-Loss
S'All good Brian, as long as we get another exercise bonus sometime... so you can kick everyones a**! :)

I'm going to update my weight and bonus stuff now, as I try not to go on here over weekends... makes my boyfriend think I'm obsessed (focussed is all, I tell you! But hey...)

Hope you all have a brilliant weekend! I had a really good week food and exercise wise... I am on track and feeling good!

Hope all you quiet ones are still alright! Cheers!

makes my boyfriend think I'm obsessed (focussed is all, I tell you! But hey...)

I also find that maintaining focus is often confused for obsession. It does however give great results!

Morning guys - how is everyone? Has anyone heard from Rah? Her last post on the forum in general was 6/15 - I hope we don't lose her this week :(

I got the bonus this week with my calcium supplements as well as the exercise - just made it by a hair - food was ok, not as good as I would prefer it, but I'm just going to move on from it.

I didn't have my normal water intake yesterday - and I really noticed a difference in the way I felt - won't happen again..lol.

Hi guys! We're still in the lead - but it is a close race!

We had two team members that didn't check in - and I looked back over the last week and we didn't communicate that much...

We do much better when we're all talking! I played a part in that - I didn't post as much as I normally did - so I'm making the personal committment to post every day from here on out.

We can do this - but we really need to motivate each other in order to keep our lead! :grouphug:

Margaret and Anke - great job on the loss! The good news is that everyone who did check in completed the exercise and the bonus challenge! We can rock this!

So far today, I've only had coffee, but I will post tonight with my positive affirmation and what I've eaten for the day.

Have a great day everyone!

And remember...

Thanks Lori. It is great that our team is still in the lead. I hope that our missing team-mates are ok.

I am so sorry I did not post my stats this week guys.
I have just been so busy with life and work that I have fallen a bt behind.

I am happy we are still in the lead but am pissed I did not contribute.
Regardless, I posted my stats on the page. I lost 3 lbs this week so all is well I just did not have time to post.

Sorry for letting the team down.

Brian - life happens to the best of us! Last week is in the past - its all about moving forward and making it happen this week! We can all do this as a team! :grouphug:

Sarah

Rah - no problem! That's nice that you're hubby took ya away for the weekend - we all need a break from routine once in awhile.

Don't forget everyone! You have to have a positive affirmation each day in order to get points for them - I hope you guys log back on before the day is over.

Mine for today 6/29 - I have cute feet! lol

Life happens to us all - so dont worry about what has happened Sarah and Brian. What is done is done - and there are more important things in life than the challenges.

On the positive side - our team is still in the lead and we didnt lose anyone. It is much more of a worry when people fully disappear and never come back. I always worry about whether they have abandoned their weight loss project or have started seeing their weight zooming upwards and for some reason feel embarrassed to admit it. The fact is that we have all been there and done that.

Looking at the challenge going forward....

We can maximise points by updating our figures early. That way if we cannot get to the computer at the end of the week - exercise etc done so far counts.

For example - I do exercise walks for 3 hours every day. Since Saturday exercise etc can be counted for the following week - that means that I normally complete the exercise element on Sunday. I therefore will update my scoresheet to reflect that now so that my exercise counts - even if I get computer problems between now and the weekend. I can always update my scoresheet again later in the week and again on Friday / Saturday.

Where is everyone posting their affirmations? I thought that we had to do them actually on each day to count and I cannot see anyone else having started to do them!!!!

I really can't get to the forum most Sundays, so finding out what the bonus for the week is, usually happens monday morning.

My affrimation for Monday:

I am dedicated to recreating my lifestyle to suit me!

Morning guys!

I'm pumped ready to go for today! It's my first day back to work on my new committment to stick to it this time! I know I can do it!

As far as the positive affirmations go - the good thing is that its not an all or nothing deal. We get points for each one that we post - we just have to post them on that day. But we all have to complete the "no fried foods" challenge in order to get points for the affirmations.

Yesterday - I didn't get to exercise - I spent the entire day running non-stop. My day started off with going to my dad's to get some laundry done - after I washed the first load, we realized his washer was broke so I had to go to the laundromat - didn't realize I had FOURTEEN LOADS! After that, I carried them all back up to my apartment (I live on the second floor - so my legs definitely got a workout!)

Then, I had to go back to his house to cut his hair and then drop off my car at the mechanic's. After that, went to the grocery store to buy my healthy meals for the week. Then, got home, put all of the groceries away - cooked dinner and then had to cut my boyfriend's hair.

After that, had to address 65 invitations for a friend's wedding (she likes my handwriting...lol) and then showered and went to bed.

Sooo..I know I burned some calories yesterday, but I'm not counting it towards my exercise.

No fried food yesterday.

And to get my positive affirmation out of the way for today -
6/30 I'm a good friend. :)

 Oh, and lastly on my ramble - my boyfriend has always been a HUGE soda drinker. Like 64 oz. a day of POP! About a week an a half ago, he decided to stop drinking soda all together and switch to water. He also started walking around his building on his breaks at work - and told me last night that he has lost 11 POUNDS!! :eek2: It's just not fair how quickly men can lose weight dammit!

Anyways..

Let's have a great Monday guys!

Aww, that's really great that he's seeing results so soon! Now you can start doing active, healthy things together!

Right now my boyfriend just not interested in this healthy living thing... but I have an idea that things will change (for the better) when we start living together. Guys really DO need us to take care of them sometimes, don't they? :)

Hey Everyone,

Hope you're all doing well! Sounds like you are, congrats Margaret and Anke on the weight losses last week!
Lori you're boyfriend is amazing! N it's sooo not fair, but big pat on the back for him! Well done you for inspiring him! And I'd count at least some of you're hard work yesterday as exercise! Laundrey n climbing stairs has got to be good cardio right?!
Brian and Rah, hope you're both feeling good too!

I fell of the "wagon" last week a little with my exercising, and then with the diet at the beginning of the weekend... but have been back on track for 2 days now, hoping I can keep it up. I'm going on holiday in 4 weeks time and would like to have lost some weight by then, so just gotta keep motivated!!

Sorry I didn't post my affirmation yesterday, i did look for the bonus challenge post but was tired and couldn't for the life of me find it! I found it today, lol, and luckily I hardly ever have fried food, so I haven't messed that challenge up at least!

More positive affirmations! *groan* It was hard enough the first time! Erm...

30th June - I have strong finger and toe nails!

Good luck for the week everyone, speak to you soon

Happy July everyone! - I have been so excited to get on here and post today because I did so well eating-wise yesterday. It was rough..but I figure the first couple days of anything new will be.

So here's what I had:

1 hard boiled egg
1 string cheese
Salad w/cheese, cucumbers, parmesan cheese and ranch dressing (oh and a few bacon bits)
6 strawberries cut up combined with 1 banana cut up
large skinny caramel latte from starbucks (150 cal - no fat/no sugar)
1 grilled chicken breast w/season salt
2 servings of cut green beans
64 oz. water

No fried foods, no junk food, no sweets, no bad stuff! I am so proud of myself!

And I'm looking at this as a test drive - for example, I figured out yesterday that I need to pack a few extra healthy snacks. I got real hungry around 3 and 4 and didn't have anything healthy to munch on because I didn't pack enough. So, the vending machines started calling my name - but I just kept drinking water..lol.

I didn't get exercise in yesterday, but I'm going to do a tape this morning that is about 65 min, so that should make up for missing yesterday.

And in the back of my mind, the thing that is motivating me is knowing that I have to post some progress pics on July 29th! :willy_nilly:

Positive Affirmation for today 7/1 - I am an honest person (sometimes too honest for my own good!)

Have a fantastic Tuesday!
