Hi guys and gals! Oh, I'm am just thrilled that we are getting more people to join. I set the deadline for Noon tomorrow (Sat - EST), so anyone who joins in before that is more than welcome!!

So far, we are up to 16 - so once I tally the final number of "joiners" at Noon tomorrow, I will set up the teams.

Please make sure that if you have joined already to notate your weight (not necessary to do on here), just so that you have it.

Once I create the teams, I will set up an individual thread for each team along with a "template" to post for your stats.

I am so excited! Glad to be participating in a contest again! We're all gonna get back on track and KEEP EACH OTHER MOTIVATED! :hurray:

Howdy,

The weigh in's need to be done before Noon Saturday in a normal week, but MissBlonde said seeing she's not starting it till after noon this saturday we got until midnight.

So Sunday will be the first "have you lost anything" kind of weigh in I'm assuming.

I think Friday is weigh-in day. Start the week Sunday, end on Friday, Saturday is your day off - no need to worry about challenge points or weighing or tracking, unless you want to. If your time zone is such that you could weigh on Saturday and still get posted by noon East Coast time, you've got the option to use Saturday as weigh-in day.

So keep track of your weight either from today or tomorrow, so you have a start weight to post in your team thread on Sunday, is how I read it.
 
Sounds like fun! can i join up or am i too late now? I know today is the last day to join up but im not sure that its before 3pm your time. It is 12.30 here tho so does that still count as on time?

Morning everyone!

tinkerbella - you made it in time - we have up until NOON EST today for anyone to join.

As far as the weigh-ins:

The contest will officially start tomorrow, 5/25. Saturdays will normally be a FREEBIE day, so weigh-ins will always be Fridays before midnight, EST.

For the sake of starting the contest, you will need your starting weight today before midnight - once I get all of the entries, I will post individual threads for each team - that is where you will post your starting weight. (I was just suggesting to make a mental note of your weight yesterday in case you weren't able to weigh yourself this morning for any reason)

This will be the only Saturday that we do a weigh-in, just for the initial numbers.

After today, it will be every Friday. Make sense?

Okay, now that we got that squared away...hope you're all doing well. I'm very excited, can't wait. I'm even hoping that we get a few more joiners before noon. I'll be checking back then! :waving:

1st WEEK BONUS!!

1st Week Bonus - WATER!! :drool5:

This week - starting Sunday (5/25) - your first challenge is to drink water! Sound easy? There's a catch!

You must drink "half of your weight" in ounces EACH DAY through Friday.

Here's what I will have to drink daily this week:

204 lbs./2 = 102 oz. water per day.

Make sure you post every day and let your team know if you have accomplished the bonus for the day! (This is a daily bonus - so you must complete your total number of ounces EACH DAY - no catching up the rest of the week if you don't hit it one day.)

omg, i'm gonna drown! lol I weigh 232, so thats 116oz ....ok, I can do it!



I have a question, I know you wanted 180 min's of excersize every week, since we dont' have a full week to start w/ are you just going to want us to do those 30 mins/day then?

As a followup to that, am I right in understanding that since Saturday is an "off" day, Saturday exercise doesn't count? (My mom has a Wii Fit, and I go play every Saturday. I can get 180 min a week without that, but I hate to waste the 30+ min my pedometer says I've already gotten from the "run in place" game.)
 
newbride and allyphoe - to answer both of your questions...

Saturdays are days where nothing is required - "freebie" days. We will have a full week this week. Our "full week" consists of Sunday through Friday.

It would be hard to use Saturdays for "makeup" time because they are after the fact. But if you know you have something planned for the week coming up, you can get your exercise in on Saturday and use it for the following week. Does that make sense?

For example - if you have prior arrangements on a Tuesday and you know you won't be able to exercise that day - you can exercise the prior Saturday to still get the 30 min for the week. But, if you didn't exercise the prior Sat and still missed Tuesday, you can't "makeup" the exercise the following Saturday.

I don't want to confuse everyone, but this is the best way I can explain it.

I guess maybe the easiest way to look at it would be that Saturday is the 1st day of the week. Sat - Fri.



On another note - I'm all for before pictures - if everyone could just give their opinion on here, then we can decide if we're doing it or not.

I don't post pictures of myself on the internet, so I won't post a pic. But I have no objection to posting a picture being voluntary or being worth bonus points or whatever.
 
I'll post pictures, as how I look will keep me going. ^.^... GAH!! That will be a new and odd things for me... 82.5 ounces of water.... *sigh*... Oh for the Copy&Paste of the template, do we copy the weekly stats too?
