Oh, right, I keep forgetting about asking for senior prices. It should be mandatory whenever I get a coffee. Too bad that don't have it for more stuff.

in town i can take the bus for a senior rate (i know, the bus... but for $2.20 round trip i can take it downtown and don't have to worry about paying $10+ for parking), and a few weeks ago i actually got carded!! here is comes again... for more than 21 years i had to prove i was 21. have to say, i never saw this coming.

Lol, it's been a while since I got carded. When it happens, I'm like c'mon, buddy, can't you see my gray hair? But they always say they just card everybody to avoid issues. It's not bars, usually stadium venues or something like that.

$2.20 for a round trip is pretty good...I was thinking of heading into the city this afternoon for a meetup, but for the T, a round trip is like $5. I'm pretty sure I'd have to take a couple of buses to get there, but it's worth checking if I could get a senior rate.

I'm back - it was GREAT having the kid home!!
We were able to connect with most of the family, a bunch of friends and with each other!
It was very hard saying goodbye!

I thought the damage would be way worse than it was, as I didn't really censor any of my eating choices. We had a big family dinner and a full blown party, lots of restaurant trips and I'm only up 1.7 pounds. I can live with that and I can fix that :)

It's good to be back on track though!
:)

It's crazy, isn't it?

I am STUNNED every time someone cards me - regardless of whether it's standard operating procedure lol

I think I've had to prove I was over 18 once since I was 13.
Nice to hear you had such a great time with your daughter! And how amazing you gained less than a kilo!

I tell ya, it's much easier staying on the wagon than it is falling off and getting back on lol
I've mostly been eating according to plan. Mostly...!

It's tough because I'm working all day and then taking a class (at work) from 4-8pm and they feed us, but not always a choice of what they're offering (ie., pizza). The company always provides breakfast and a catered lunch and I've gotten much better at bringing my food, so tonight, I brought dinner as well.

It does feel like a chore to bring food when there's food anyway but as long as offering healthy choices isn't standard practice you don't really have a choice.

Life happens, it would all be so much easier without all those obstacles, like work and other people lol.

SOOO True!!

Agreed - I've been bringing breakfast and lunch everyday for three/four weeks and it's had a huge impact!
It's being at work for dinner that's throwing me off my plan and getting home late makes me want to EAT when I get home...smh...

My partner picked up agiant Easter Egg of dark chocolate (They look like below)
So I've been nibbling on that when I get home lol

Granted, I only take a little bite out of it each night!

Even I couldn't finish that gigantic thing in one go. At least chocolates the least bad of all the sweets, well, so I've heard. I never really bought that it's actually good for you...

I don't know if it's good for you or not, but a little bit at night makes me happy :)

Thanks!
I survived my weekend, we went to see Pet Semetary (better than the original, not as good as the book, based on my kid memories of liking it), saw my dad and uncle, my uncle is doing better but still not great, my dad is not meant to be a care giver, the two live together and sound like old cranky married people! We ate out each day...Mexican food, Kitikata Ramen, In & Out and snacks while watching TV in the evening. I swear, 2 days 'off' means another two days making up for it the next week lol!

And so it's the start of my work week, which means I'm back to tracking.
:)

It's quite easy to overeat by 1000 kcal/day but UNDEReating by that much is strict dieting so you're quite right there!
