A Day In The Life of m2m :)

Hi M2M. I didn't know you from way back when as my diary was in a different section. I'm glad you have come back. I really connected with most of what you said. I need to stay in the forum, have a plan, eat healthily & exercise. It sure does not get any easier as you get more knowledge. Our metabolisms slow down & you have to work harder at it. I look forward to getting to know you. Cheers, Cate.

Hi Cate,
I'm looking forward to getting to know you as well :)
You're right, it does not get easier lol!!

I spent the last 5 days up with my daughter and did not track my food - too much eating out. I'm back to tracking today :)

Your back :)

Your back :)

Yes! I find it so much easier to post here from a laptop/desktop and only had my phone. Which is no excuse for not tracking nutrition and did almost no exercising lol

I'm hitting the gym after work today, I haven't been on the scales in two weeks, I think I might go with a monthly weigh in for now.
(This clearly might be avoidance after visiting the kid) lol!

Yeah, sometimes I feel like hitting the scales makes no sense if you know it's not going to be good news. Glad you had fun with your daughter, that's more important than any scales.

Hi Everyone!
I'm back to tracking and could really use the support :)

12/19/18 Starting weight: 252.5
02/14/19 Current weight: 231.8
Goal weight: 165

I'm currently just counting calories using MFP. I just moved and still have a ton of unpacking to do, so I really have no time for exercising yet, but I will start soon.

Looking forward to getting to know you guys!

Hi, M2M & welcome back to the forum. I'm counting calories too at the moment. We can do this. The main thing is never giving up.

165 is my goal, too, but i've been back and forth between 173 and 177 for the past 4 weeks. i have a feeling you might beat me.
I'm pretty sure I'm not going to beat you! lol
The lowest I've ever been is 173 and it seemed like I had to work HARD to maintain it. I'm kinda hoping that's not the case this time!

I agree about not giving up! I kinda love the fact that every day gives us a new opportunity to do better! lol

actually 5 months ago i was where you are now. 172 is about the lightest i've even been, but that was when i was an inch taller... i wasn't counting on shrinking. if you looked at my diary, you could probably see that a combination of severely limiting sugar and intermittent fasting seemed to do the trick for me, but since i passed ~180, i've realized that i need to burn more calories during the day, period. being retired makes it so easy to take in a lazy day, but notwithstanding SoCal "winter", i've been falling into too many of those days recently.

Nicely done!!
I hear ya about the rain too - it makes getting out a bit of a challenge, still glad it's not mid-west / east coast cold lol!

I hope the rest of the day passed quickly and you sleep well.

It did!
I just had to stop eating! Lol

We just moved and I’ve been unpacking - food and cooking hasn’t come easy so last night was a home delivery of Panda Express

Today’s a new day!

wow - I just viewed my diary from the desktop vs my phone and the images of my end of day calorie total are a bit, HUGE lol!
I currently use MyFitnessPal, so I don't really need to post a daily. I think I just want to stay focused.

So my kitchen is all set up, organized and I know where everything is! (I HATE moving!)
Now there's no excuse to cook :)

Tonight, I'll make some caldo de pollo

If you want to add me on MFP I'm CateAussie. I currently have my diary private but am trying to stick with 1400 cals a day. Moving is hell! Cado de pollo I had to look up. It sounds delicious.
