Nope! We've decided to wait until we're better lol!

What we lack in talent we make up for in sheer energy and fun with the audience but as far as playing, I've only played since last summer so we have a loooooong way to go before I'm allowing a youtube video to sneak out there ;)
 
long as you're having fun -that's all that matters.

I hope you have band groupies that ply you with sexual favors backstage... :D or at least liquor and chocolates :D
 
Actually, we have one friend who says she's our best groupie - which means she gets to have sex with all of us!

And we do party like we're rockstars :D
Who says we have to grow up lol!
 
there's a hotel in downtown chicago that has the 'rock star' suite - it has a juke box, an electric guitar and amplifier that work -and the best decoration - atelevision set that's been thrown thru the window.

As long as you don't throw televisions - it's all good :)
 
I don't think I have the energy to hurl TV's around these days!!

But lifting some JD is f.i.n.e. by me :)

Good! Lots of changes going on since you have been here. I went a bit backwards on the weightloss...went into a funk....had some physical injuries...yadda, yadda....

lol weird, most times i get on stage i go bright red and seem to overheat *sigh*
I suffer from a bit of stage fright at times, but i can sing well enough :)

No B&A pics other than the ones in my sig. I havnt dropped weight in a bit because it makes my cycling suffer and im now finishing in the top few in the races im doing so cant afford to skimp on calories. Now cycling season is over though ill drop those last pesky few lb however :)

Id love to see more pics nd video of ya band though too! i vote youtube! :D
 
Popping in to say hi - it's amazing how quickly a week blows past! Had a good time last weekend, celebrated a friend's birthday - we started celebrating around noon and by the time we walked into a bar at 8:00 well, we were in full swing - at some point the band gave us this little audition and brought us up on stage to jam with them....it was incredible!

I'm actually focusing a bit more on what I eat, or rather what I choose not to ;) I need to finish this job and not be so damn complacent!

I think that's been the strangest thing for me to realize, that despite where I thought I wanted to be/go, I found that as I got closer to it, a 'this will do' attitude started rearing an ugly head...I need to chop it off and hope it doesn't grow 7 more in it's place and just finish this lol

I'll try to hit diaries, but I'll be gone for the rest of the day, hope you guys are doing well!
 
Hey M2M. I was on here about 3 years ago and chatted with you a lot. I was looking at your profile and you look amazing!! Congratulations on your success.
 
I used to be really active on this site, and life got in the way it would seem.
I'm stunned to see my original diary still here!

I lost over 80 pounds, and kept it off for about 5 years. Then, life got chaotic and fitness took a back seat. My goal is to reverse that direction.
I'm not sure how active this site is now, but I look forward to having a place to turn to for support and accountability!

I thought a lot about whether I wanted to start posting again - I read my diary yesterday and it was a weird walk down memory lane. So much has changed in the intervening 9 years lol!

I got a job in 2010 and in 2014 started traveling for work a lot - my weight skyrocketed and it's time to take control.
I found when I started back to work I quit exercising. I truly think what worked best for me was the combination of diet/exercise/this forum.

I'm not yet tracking my food - I'll ease in to that, for now, I'll (re)start with my exercise.

  • 15 min @ 3.5mph
  • 5 min @ 4.2mph
  • 5 min cool down @ 2.mph

3 sets of 12 lunges (no weights)
3 sets of push ups (modified bench height)

Starting weight 5/17/17 : 265
Goal weight: TBD (My initial guess is around 190 - when I lost the weight originally, i was down to 175 and it was a constant struggle to maintain)

Mini Target Goals
  • Exercise minimum of 30 minutes per day, 6 days per week for 30 days
  • Increase speed intervals for walking/treadmill
  • Lose 5#

Yea i can relate. I drove a truck long haul for awhile and the food on the road..wow. So that and meds i was on it just got bad. Talking on here helps ans logging and counting calories seemed odd at first but now is just something i like to do.
Exercise..... Always a good idea.

Being on the road definitely has its own challenges! My dad was a long distance trucker my entire life and he was one fit guy, but he gnawed his nails to the bone. I'm not sure what's worse ;)

Glad to hear that logging and counting calories and being here helps. I know I benefited HUGE from the online support I got on this forum!

Yea that would b a good idea. Last night my movie food was like 1000 calories. I over estimated the buttered popcorn but still.
