20lbs or less club

Hello!

How is everybody? I'm doing pretty good myself. I've eaten better today. I'm trying to be more careful until I can get under that darn 140. I didn't think it'd be that hard to get back into the 130's, but it has been. :(

All I know is when I get there I'm STAYING there!

Hi all hope you dont mind if i join you ive got im 5 7 and w eigh 1 s 5 p and my goal is 10/8 , 11 pound to lose

Online Trainer

I just hired an online personal trainer. She seems great and I am hoping can give me the accountability and guidance I need to get where I wanna be. I'll keep you all posted :)

That sounds neat!

A personal trainer of any kind would be helpful. I don't think I've seen anything about using someone online. What all do you get service wise?

I get...

-A welcome package with grocery lists, recipes, stretching routines and general tips for avoiding pitfalls
-Personalized caloric intake needs and nutritional guidelines
-Personalized strength training routine
-Personalized cardio routine
-Timeline sheet
-Personal support whenever I need it, via email

It is priced by the month, one month is $49

She has certification with the National Academy of Sports Medicine for Personal Training and also holds a Nutritional Consulting Certification from American Fitness Professionals and Associates. I actually found her here on this forum when she was answering some of my questions. I checked out her profile which has a link to her site...

She does every thing per person, so once you sign up you tell her what kind of equipment you have access to and what you are looking to accomplish as well as your food likes/dislikes and she tailors a plan to you.

Mind if I join?

Wow, I'm so impressed with how you guys are doing! I'd love to join in too. I recently had a baby, and although I lost all my baby weight almost right away (pre-baby weight 107; height 5'1"), I gained it all back after I stopped nursing. I wish I'd never stopped - ha! So, now I'm up to 123 and can't remember how to lose weight. I'm stuck at home, lonely and sleep deprived... i.e., it's just me, the baby and the fridge! You guys sound really motivated and successful in your weight loss so far. I'd love to join in and give and get support in my effort to lose these pesky 15 lbs!

Welcome Anna and Jennay!! Welcome!! I took a break from the forum this week, but I have been eating on track pretty much so thats ok!! How's everyone else doing? Hope all well!

Online personal trainer

I'd love to hear more about how the online personal trainer thing goes. It sounds great! If it works, it's well worth $49!

Wow.

I just got my plan from my trainer, she is gonna kick my butt :D

It is pretty detailed and there are pictures and examples and such. The food is even up my alley, since I gave her my likes/dislikes, so the diet should be yummy instead of me trying to choke down stuff I don't like :) I am excited to start -- it will be a lot of work! Have to take some pics tonight as befores :D :D :D Totally syched!

So???

So?? How did it go today? I bet it would be really helpful to have a trainer to help you be accountable, you know?
Hey I started one of those online FitDay journals like I saw bglittert1979 and others have done, and I made it public... that is really helpful b/c I am embarrassed at how much I eat! So, now I know if I want to eat 3 pieces of pizza for breakfast, I'm going to have to make it public!
I exercised today for the first time in ages and it felt great. See, you guys are helping me already!
Hope you all had a great day!

So far so good!

Gonna take some work to stay in the diet part, lots of prep work so I can have proper meals while at work, but the exercise felt so good, whether or not I felt like I might puke, lol :D

I took before pics today, so hopefully I'll get to do afters in a couple months!

Hey, just wanted to say i'm new to this sight and im really excited i've found this club. It's encouraging to know that other people are in the same position as me!

Yay!

Way to go, Jennay! What kind of exercise are you doing? Kickboxing and walking/running are my favs.

I did the South Beach Diet a few years ago (it worked GREAT), and I agree the hardest part was the food prep. I would love to get back to the SBD again, but I barely have time to pop something in the microwave these days

Congrats again on a great Day 1 of your online personal trainer!

The cardio is called HIIT...

(high intensity interval training). She has me do 25 minutes of walk/jog/sprint intervals. She warned me it would be very exhausting, but I still didn't quite believe it, cause seriously, it is only 25 minutes. Wow though. She was totally right! I barely made it through without collapsing off the treadmill and actually felt pretty shaky/nauseas afterward (told me I'd prolly feel like that the first few times). Actually has me a little scared to do the weight training tonight, lol.

is it ok if i join :)

When i started i had just over 20pounds to lose but i'm already down six poiunds in just over a week :)

i'm doing atkins right now so i'm not doing excessive excercise, just what i normally get in work, which includes a lot of walking and small amounts of heavyish lifting.

I plan on doing atkins for a fortnight, or possibly a month, then going on to low calories, combined with the gym and possibly running if i can encourage my sister to go with me :p

I'm so excited cause i have only another pound to lose and i'll be the lightest i've been in years, including when i lost a load of weight when i wasn't well :p

Way to go!

That is awesome, Casey! I'd love to hear any tips you have, which things have worked best and which things haven't.

I exercised again today, thanks to this forum, and it felt great!

I hope you all are having a wonderful day.
