You have just described what I've done MORE times than I can imagine. Course, for me I'm
pretty hungry by 5 or 6.. I couldn't wait much longer for dinner. I think it's real common to do better throughout the day, heck a busy day makes that easy.. but then chow down at supper. I don't know how many times I've even said I know I'll be hungry, so I need to be careful when I get home.... but then still blow it.
I think the key is to try as hard as possible to eat more frequently. I really hate breakfast early.. like before my classes or work, but I just make myself. I've also been taking
real food for lunch instead of the vending machine grab. I take salads on the days that I work in the morning because we have a fridge there and then on days when I have classes I take a sandwich of some sort. I also keep almonds and other healthy snacks on me. I'm also keeping water handy and haven't had any pop. That's huge for me! Point being... those few changes are a big deal and will add up. I'm feeling better, but also I know I'll lose extra weight as a result of doing these things consistently. Is it always easy?... definitely not, but I'm tired of feeling run down and disppointed in myself. It's hard overeating and dealing with the guilt, not to mention the stomach ache after.. etc.
Oooops... there went another pep talk!
When I give them I'm mostly giving them to myself, but if someone else can benefit from them that's awesome. That's what this support group is all about.
Maybe we can help you think of ideas. There has to be a way to sneak in food throughout the day. Even if it's bites here and there. Going so long like that kills your metabolism.
We'll figure something out, I bet a lot of people have good ideas here.
