You guys... I just got my food steamer in the mail today.
I just steamed burgers.... OMG

If you have never had a steamed burger let me tell you how juicy it is! It's so juicy!

Anyway... It was a healthy burger and well portioned so I feel completely good about it. Fat free cheese, non fat condiments and 100 calorie fiber bread. I had a pickle on the side of it. It tasted to much healthier too...or was that all in my mind? lol. But a lot of the grease was at the bottom of the steamer and not all over my burgers ^_^
Hubby said it's the best burger he's ever had.

a what? can you send me a link in a PM?

PM sent.
I steamed about 9 eggs while the hamburgers steamed above them. They were all ready at the same time. It took about 20 minutes. So we're already set for tomorrow as far as that goes ^_^

I can see myself already going steam crazy:willy_nilly: and steaming ridiculous things like... hmm.. wonder if I can sterilize my toothbrush with the steamer.........nah :biggrinjester:

a food steamer eh? sounds interesting. does food take a lot longer to cook? like a slow-cooker? cause I have trouble waiting like 20 minutes for a chicken breast to bake sometimes, let alone the like, what, 9 hours it would take in a slow-cooker? :p lol

haven't weighed myself yet :( buuuut my monthly weigh-in is coming up on Sunday. but it will be after a night out with the girls (booze involved....). maybe i'll wait an extra week... lol

loving the support in this group btw. :D

My food steamer cooks food using steam. It really keeps things tender and succulent. It's not a slow cooker. It cooks food basically at the same time as an oven or the stove would. There are settings for each type of food and how many minutes to steam it for. It just uses steam instead. Last night I made chicken breast and asparagus for hubby and me and it took 24 min. It was so delicious and so clean. Mine has 2 tiers so that I can steam many things at once. It has slots for eggs and an extra small bowl for steaming rice. I'm probably going to be making 1/2 my meals in this.:hurray: I love it!

ahhh, that sounds amazing!!! if it is the same amount of time as an oven, thats beauty. sounds like you got yourself a good item there. I will have to keep an eye out for one of my own.... for when i move out of my parent's house (if ever... aww) :( lol

Doing pretty good :)
Got my juicer this week, and had lots of healthy juices, loads of fruit and veg and ginger etc, and got ill!!
How is that even possible?! :p

Down to 204.5, finally moved off of 207.5. Was stuck there for ages it felt!

Good luck and well done already to everyone :)

so the superbowl meal my mom made (home-made chicken wings and fries...) didn't at all help my weight loss :( and i tried to do my yoga after, but my shoulder felt like it was tweaking, so i stopped. sigh. i guess it really has been one of those "i'll start Monday" kinda of starts. lol

yay for weight loss reports the past few days :D
