thats awesome to hear.. 3 people around the same weight height and age trying to achieve the same result! working as a team we can do it even better i think!
just as a start off, what you guys been doing in terms of changing your lifestyle.. stopped soft drinks, exercised more? witha good mix we could all help each other out.
i for one am trying to limit my soft drink consumption to a bare minimum, say out on a weekend with friends, and same with alcohol. Fast food should be limited to once a month, but realistcally im attempting once a week, then once every 2 weeks etc..
so far ive gone from 90 to 87.. which means 12 kilos to go! haha
all the best
Yeah it's awesome that we have such similar figures, we really need to communicate regularly and help each other out.
Diet wise, I've cut out soft drinks (including diet) and fast food completely. It's been only water, which often is over the 3 litre mark.
Haven't had over a mouthful of eithr since a bit after Christmas and I'm having no cravings. I used to eat only dinner and take aways if I was out, but I've began eating a healthy breakfast (oatmeal) and lunch (wholegrain salad sandwiches). It varies, as can be seen by my diary.
Alcohol is my weakness. If I am entitled to one "true" cheat option it would be beer, and believe I am entitled to a few a week. Only in moderation though. I would go insane otherwise.
Saying that, I have cut beer down from about 3 times a week of heavy drinking, 12 bottles a day for three consecutive days (Thursday-Saturday) meaning 36 a week to about once every week-two weeks I'll have over a period of time 4-6. There's nothing wrong with treating yourself as long as:
A) It does not form into a habit.
B) It's in moderation.
Exercise I started in early January of walking/power walking intervals. With my fitness slightly improved (hopefully) it has now turned into jogging/power walking intervals, meaning I am consistently able to walk at full speed. Something I couldn't do a month ago. My aim is to make it a consecutive jog, but I am still one unfit man. Haha.
Once I go to university next week I want to join a gym (the uni gym or otherwise) and start doing things there. My roommate has a set of weights which I would like to work with muscle, it's better to start that sooner rather than later.
But I am a complete newbie when it comes to gym equipment and terms. I don't know what a "rep" is or "resistance training" and I only know some cardio equipment, which currently don't know how to use.
I started about 92, but my highest was 94. I'm currently at my lowest 84.9kg (although I had a chicken parmigiana for dinner tonight, I'm naughty) but I'm ranging in the 85's. I want to get to 80 by March 31.
Good luck with all your weight loss, but with or without my luck I know you and I will both be permanent successes.
