Oooo I love this thread! Seeing how people's weight varies and how I react to their reactions has helped me see things in a larger, long-term perspective!
My progress so far (weights taken tuesdays at the gym):
week 1: 228
week 2: 225 (-3)
week 3: 224 (-1)
week 4: 225,5 (+1,5) *grrr*
week 5: 225 (-0,5)
week 6: 220 (-5) !!!!!!
week 7: 218 (-2) (weight on saturday on my scale, but I have done the test and it is the same as at the gym
average : 10 lbs / 6 weeks = 1,67 lbs per week.
Not quite 2, but I admit having a tough time around week 3/4. If I had stopped there, discouraged, I wouldn't be down 10 pounds in less than two months
moral: variation is normal; you shouldn't transform a few bad weeks into a few bad months/years. My goal is to be able to average 2 lbs a week, but as an average over a few months or even a year
