2 Pounds A Week Club

Give me a break... It has nothing to do with "trying harder". I weigh 350 lbs and I'm living off of 1400 - 1600 calories a day and working out 4 days a week. I've lost over 40 lbs in 3 and 1/2 months. Anyone who knows me knows I'm an upbeat and goodhearted person, but honestly you telling me to "try harder" considering how hard I work just pisses me off! You don't know me and you don't know what I'm going through to live a healthier life style, so save your "try harder" BS for someone who isn't giving it her all. M'kay?

Didn't mean to offend you, but I can see I did. I'm sorry for that.

Only one pound lost last week.
But then, I have cheated(ate out a couple of times) and it was bound to happen...
This week I'm going to try harder.

That makes two of us, Sooj. That's why I have to bust my butt today and tomorrow if I have any hope of seeing 242. Best of luck!

It's ok. I'm sure you didn't mean to. I hope in the future though that you don't jump to telling people to try harder if you don't know how hard they are working in the first place. Comments like that can cause people to try and push themselves and their bodies too hard too fast and cut their calories back WAY too much, and that can do a lot of damage physically as well as emotionally.

Way to go!! Seeing those numbers get smaller each week does get addicting, doesn't it? It's looking like I did about 3 pounds this week too, but I'll have to wait until I weigh in the morning for it to be official. Wish me luck!

Count me in :) I need a good target so I will try to lose 2 pounds a week too. I have an awful lot to lose, but I'm no crash dieter, I'll take my time!

Right now I weight 238 lbs (unfortunately)

Thank daymon74 and good job:)

I have a question? how do you know whats your true weight and if you weigh your self in the morning and you weight 186 then at night you weigh 187 or 188 do that mean you ate 1 or 2 lbs of food ?

Personally, I only count a weigh in as official once a week, but I do weigh daily just to see how my body is reacting to things I had done the day before. I always weigh first thing in the morning before breakfast. I think, but am not positive that's the most accurate reading one can get in a day. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I've been trying to lose weight for over a year now... and always find myself giving up after 2 weeks...
I'm 154 pounds and my goal is to lose 30 pounds. I always lose about 1-2 pounds a week but then the next week I gain it all back and some extra! any idea why? any tips?

I do the same thing. Perhaps you need to assess where you stand and what you are doing to get to your goals. Use online BMR and daily calorie calculators to figure out how many calories your body needs to consume, and how many you need to burn - then all that's left is to just do it! If you stick to it, you can and WILL see results.

you all are doing so well. Congratulations. I have not lost anything this week i am the same but i have had little interruptions so i know very well why. looking forward to another great week ahead with better results.

Alright so I guess I'll join this club :) My official weigh-ins are on Sundays, so my week has already started.

06/22 193.6 lbs.

06/29 191.4 lbs. (2.2 lbs lost)

07/06 189 lbs. (2.4 lbs. lost)

07/13 187.2 lbs. (1.8 pounds lost - damn, so close...)

07/20 187.4 lbs. :banghead:

07/29 185.6 lbs.(1.8 lbs. lost...so glad I'm losing again but wish it was 2 lbs.)

08/03 184.8 lbs. (.8 pounds lost...short week from Thurs to Tues)

08/10 184.2 lbs (.6 pounds lost)

08/17 183.4 lbs (.8 lbs lost)

08/24

08/31

The scale has been teasing me! I dropped 1.2 lbs overnight. Reached my 2 pounds lost a day too late. But I don't care. I'm just so psyched to be almost out of the 180s! The last time I was in the 170s was early 2008. Sometimes the weightloss seems to take forever, but it comes off eventually, and it's so worth it. Just had to share!

How tall are you? It may be getting to the point losing 2 pounds a week is going to be really tough for you. (which is a good place to be if you ask me)

I'm 5'4". Isn't it supposed to be like 1% of your weight you can lose in a week? So that would be 1.8 pounds for me?

As of this morning my scale read "161.5"... hopefully it stays or gets lower and I can call this week a success when Sunday rolls around!

As my goal is to lose about 2 lbs a week I think this club will be a good idea for me! :) I want to keep track of my weight loss somewhere, but keeping it on a calender or out on the fridge isn't something I really want to do. Haha. I'm kind of private about this.

I started with an "official" weigh in last week for this plan, although I've already lost about 15 lbs this summer. So! My weigh in is tomorrow, but I'll just post this here now so that my intentions for joining the club are known!

August 15th : 186.4 lbs
August 22nd : tba
August 29th : tba
September 5th : tba
(first 4 week total) :

I'm excited and hopefully seeing my weight loss written down will keep me motivated! I already am by some of the amazing progress I've seen in this thread.
