I was out in Newcastle last night it has changed so much in the last 15 years or so. when I lived in Newcastle I didn't really notice the changes, but now I visit every couple of weeks or so, something seems to catch my eye every time.
You are right - I often see changes when I am doing my daily walk up there.
It is 25 years since I lived there - and the frightening thing is that they are changing things that I still think of as relatively new (i.e. built in my lifetime). The messed around with Eldon Square and have knocked down the Central Library and built a new one...
Whenever I get lost because of street changes - my husband says "you are the geordie" as if I will have an updated map in my head just because I was born and brought up there...
I think the new library is really nice, part of me thinks it is a shame that it is hidden away, but then when you catch a glimpse of it hi=dden behind northumberland st it is a little gem.
I love the movie Top Gun (my favorite movie of all time) and I was accepted to the Air Force Academy to pursue flight school while I was attending university at a different school (ended up not going for various reasons, but I still think fighter pilots are the bomb).
Well, I'm a guy, I was very fat, now I'm just fat (so perhaps it's more accurate), and I'm lazy, or was. Maybe still am a bit, but definitely less. Plus it's my blogging identity.
Even though camping can be a lot of work, it's FUN work! A cheap way to take a break from it all. I love the campfire and my husband plays the guitar. We camp in a nice big canvas tent. Fits two twin blow up mattresses and a queen. Yes, we take the kids. And the dogs. . .. but still a nice little get away to be outside . .. .
I am seeking fitness for life and that's why endurance, I was just obssesed with my weight earlier I mean I didn't care about exercise and my fitness earlier and did lose a lot of weight by dieting , I have changed a lot as a person and now I am seeking fitness with less focus on scale
When I joined the forum I had just started running for fitness and I was reading about shinsplints at the time and thinking they sounded like the most painful injury I'd ever heard of (luckily I've found they're not that bad).
Um, I guess I'm also quite a painful person to be around ... so the name fits.
Well, on other sites I try to pick epic names that fit who I am and what I like. This one was made to be more comical, but staying true to my usual name like.
Jessie is my name, hence Jess, and 39 stands for the license plate prefix where I grew up, and the 3 is the license plate prefix for where I am now. Lame, but I've used it forever
