in retrospect, it almost seems easier when letters get eliminated vs getting the right letters in the wrong order. there were a few other words i was considering, but they had double letters.

Wow for all 3 of us I think. That word is not in my vocabulary. I think you're right about it being easier when you eliminate so many letters. Sometimes the word then just jumps out at you.
